    2nd trick was easy...he sleight of handed the key piece onto the table when she put 6 down...he touched them...took one and place the key piece while rearranging them. then he had her choose 3 and throw away the others, but then she chose 2 more, but the key was the other piece so she threw away the 2 she chose...leaving the key. if she had chosen 2 and the key was in there then he would've thrown away the single and then she would choose one of the others and either throw it away or keep it..per his instruction. the inconsistency of keeping and throwing from the chosen pieces is the giveaway. the first trick was more impressive.

      i think for a talk show the host is inclined to go along with the magician, after all its their talk show and they wouldn't want to bust the magician they hired by challenging him in any way. So like everyone is saying, whatever pieces the magicians keeps, she is OK with. But I always wonder what the magician would do if the person (at some other show) insists on choosing a specific item even though the question was vague like "pick 3 of these" and then he discards them and they stop him and say "No I wanted to keep these".

    The first one has to be a set up. You can see at 2:12 the permanent marker vs dry erase. (73,74,75) + (58/68/78). So he chose the woman before by knowing she would say "21". He probably says "we need a volunteer". Then he does a numerical trick with her phone, like "add a 4 digit number to your pin then show me the total". Then he can get her pin by pressing "clear" + "=". Then he does some other trick as a distraction, without letting her know he knows her pin. That way the audience knows they are in on the trick, but don't feel manipulated.

    I can think of an excessively insane potential way the first trick was done... maybe the board has electronics inside that someone transmits the number into, and then it heats certain cells in order to do something to the ink that keeps it from erasing.

    First one is a gimmick board (idk how exactly there are so many ways to achieve this effect), second one is sleight of hand to put the piece to ones she chose then multiple outs/force paradigm. If she choose the correct one it stays, if she chose the wrong one "she chose to get rid of it". Regardless beautiful presentation. Asi is great.

      2:56 he grabs the missing piece from right pocket. it's in his right hand
      3:25 he drops it with the others on the table. So, not it's one of the pieces on the table.
      Says "choose one group of 3": easy, whichever group she choses, he'll discard the group without the piece. It's a fake decision.
      Says "choose 2", same trick, he'll keep the piece, no matter which group she chooses. Another fake decision.
      First trick is most likely a digital blackboard of some sorts. It's a touchscreen effectively. An assistant enters the code, that part of the screen is un-erasable, the rest is erasable by touch.
      Very cool execution. For harder tricks, check Asi Wind's episode with Huberman.

  • @illinialumni
    @illinialumni 9 месяцев назад +1

    Puzzle one, not that hard to figure out. Just need a LOT of the piece in question and assume she'll pull out at least one of them. First one, pretty interesting.

    • @SuitedPup
      @SuitedPup 9 месяцев назад +2

      Actually - the puzzle one, he sleight of handed the correct puzzle piece into the mix on the table (I can’t spot it, but see how he immediately grabbed one and flipped it face up - the one he needed). Then, he kept/removed pieces based on Kelly’s selection. For example, if her first pick of 3 did not include the needed puzzle piece, he would discard those 3. If it did, he would keep them.
      One would NOT perform a trick on live tv “assuming she’ll pull out at least one of them”. It of course needs to be a 100% certainty the trick will work

      He took the correct puzzle piece from his pocket 2:56, palmed it, and sneaked it to the mix 3:24. What follows is called the Magician choice where the instructions are ambiguous. He lets you choose (a piece or a group of pieces) but what you choose is either kept or eliminated at his discretion until the intended piece is the only one left.

    Actually the second one was the easier one but I could not figure out exactly how he did the first one. But magicians don't do random things. The sequence he erases numbers leads him to 21. Notice how he controls Kelly to erase exactly 95.

      @noturllikeorphonenumberlike 9 месяцев назад

      Unsure what you're getting at. Can you elaborate?

    • @henrymakepeace
      @henrymakepeace 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@noturllikeorphonenumberlike Although he has a bag of pieces, he probably has only 3 or 4 different shapes. Out of 6 picked he forces to the one he wants, like notice that he goes from 3 to 2 and then one until he gets the correct piece. If Kelly chooses the wrong ones, he'd say ok we're removing these etc.

    • @henrymakepeace
      @henrymakepeace 9 месяцев назад

      @@noturllikeorphonenumberlike I don't know exactly how he did the first one but he erases certain numbers to activate a mechanism that will make those make the big 21 go dry and not be erased by that eraser. There appears to be a formula. As I said he asks Kelly to erase 95. All steps magicians execute are for a reason, never random.

    • @noturllikeorphonenumberlike
      @noturllikeorphonenumberlike 9 месяцев назад

      @@henrymakepeace Rewatching it, I'm wondering if she was a plant. He picked her, and if you look at all the numbers that DON'T get erased, they look different (sometimes thicker, sometimes a different "font") than the ones that do get erased. Whether or not she is, it's a great effect and it leaves us guessing.
      Before coming to this conclusion, I wondered about you hypothesis of him manipulating it somehow, especially since he does some weird things with his fingers on the bottom right of it when numbers are discussed...but it really seems like 21 is a deliberate choice.

    Shewwwww @KellyClarkson … Can you get any more beautiful??? Geeesh!! Plus we have even MORE in common now… my last 2 digits are 22 as well !! No joking at all !! And pretty sure the answer to his trick is “process of elimination”… I do a card trick that’s almost like what he did.. He makes you choose the one he wants.. in the beginning of the trick when he asked you to separate 3 and 3… You picked the 3 darks.. so he took away the 3 whites.. Had you picked the 3 whites, he would have asked you to take them away still leaving the 3 darks.. therefore, process of elimination to get to the piece needed.. guaranteed he put the piece on the table at the very beginning with “slight of hand”.. rewatch the video.. lol I caught it immediately. Stay blessed sis !! Miss your face so bad on the voice… 😢😢
