I'm all for players being able to transfer, able to make money, I enjoy it, and at the same time Gundy is correct. In the end, everyone had their chance to transfer, everyone got paid what they could, now that you got to transfer to a place you wanted to be and got paid money as you should, time to concentrate and play football.
This is a new process and we are figuring it out as we go, but it seems that Mike Gundy figured out that until the portal opens in December, there is no need to renegotiate current player contracts.
As someone that recently used to work at OSU, I know exactly how he and everyone on campus is paid. By the University!! Not agents! Every dept has a budget and it has to be approved. Anyone that has ever worked at a University or has common sense knows this.

The same with the transfer portal, since coaches lie and change their minds then leave all the time. The ncaa and these institutions have been eating off of generations of athletes for a long time.
Mike has gotten a raise every year at OSU for the past 19 years. He's been coaching a subpar team for years. In 21 he got a new contract and got 3.5 million more. Just for the Cowboys to go 7-6 in a lowly big12. He gets about 7.5 million a year for a team who last sniffed the playoff in 2011. His team threatened a boycott because of his stupid comments in the past. Mike shut up cash those checks and continue to fall below expectations

Once the kids get to college, their stars don't mean anything, only their performance on the field. They need to focus on that.
