It's not just some Romeaboo talking about how bad Gauls are....no it respects and honors history and EMBRACES the dirty blood soaked hands and worn and weathered caligulai that the hard men and woman of ancient times wore marching into battle or fleeing from a vicious enemy that lives in your mirror, the destruction of State, and the breakdown of Law, is what I notice the most in Ex Deo songs and it's amazingggg I listen to Ex Deo around campfires and then when the song finishes start listening to History of Rome podcasts like Mike Duncan's or Historia Civilis hehe it's lot of fun. Imagine our Ancestors looking down upon us and seeing us sing songs about their lives. I think we haven't changed much, even storytelling and singing can motivate us so greatly and bring us together.
I was at a Park at like 10pm a few weeks ago smoking a J and listening to this and the covid police came and told me the park is closed and I had to leave and it was nonense. They were nice but ridiculous to kick me out of a park. Anyways literally as I started walking away from them to hop on my electric Bike the end of this Song where Bouddica says her speech started playing and I turned the volume up on purpose lol and instead of leaving the park and got on my electribe bike and sped into the woods and the cops who kicked me out of the park listened to the end of this song right after trying to enforce to leave it was amazingggg. It felt so badass. I love Ex Deo
Slayes being a history buff trained in opera makes her the perfect choice beyond having all the other necessary qualifications and skills, and it's on Spotify! Added to my daily playlist
