None of what you mention is in the lyrics of the song. You are projecting what you know about other songs on the album onto this song. "sword and shields" are often used metaphorically and figuratively. This video works perfectly on its own. And it's not as if they had access to exactly specific footage to use even if the wanted.
The drumming in this whole album is just perfect, keeps me pumped

I´m so sorry. I don´t understand how anyone can give a dislikes to this song from the Apex album! This album is one of the best albums od 2017! This song belongs to the golden fund of Heavy Metal. My opinion :-).
The song is outstanding. The reason for dislikes would probably be the shitty video. The song is in a fantasy setting, and Napalm threw WW2-like footage. Complete disrespect.

Not quite the spirit of the song, but makes washing the dishes feel so epic that it needs closing credits once I'm done.
I'm in awe of this band. Didn't think much of them when they came out with Demon's of the Astro Waste, but they really hit their stride with this album. And Abyss! Another great album. I think the only question is, what is their ceiling? Will they just keep blowing us away, with every release?

Goosebumps and tears. Heavy, groovy, beautiful, and tragic. The harmonies are on point, and has been seered into my soul.

About 1 year, 2 months and 11 days late I'd say, but I really appreciate that you hurried up and released this video. One of the best songs on the album for sure, and that is saying a lot, as it was one of the best albums in 2017 imo. :D

It wasn't just ww2 it showed all different wars. Just because the album has fantasy elements doesnt mean the video can't reference the true meaning behind the song... what i think is dictators or leaders who hide behind their citizens as protection against reprisal or action

And no where in the song/album does it say anything about any war that took place IRL. This video does not represent anything about the story that is told through out the song or the album. It may reflect an over all theme for the song, but does not represent anything to do with the songs/albums story. And that story kicks ass so I don't know why you wouldn't stick to.
