I have gone through all of this on my personal 1.6 TDI CAYC on a Golf. The EGR was showing errors. The reason for that was sticky valve itself. I had a big discount at dealership so the valve costed me ~295 Euros and installation another 60 Euros back then in 2014. I also had the ECu reflashed with latest software at that time (9971) as the software updates solve A LOT of problems on these engines. Still have the old valve laying somewhere :) Besides, I see you often work on VAG cars. You should get VCDS (clone) for yourself. The Delphi system you use is very limited on VAG. Quality clone with latest 18.2 version costs ~30-35 Euros or even cheaper.
hid3nax I see where you are coming from but I'm not sure how wise it is to advocate counterfeit software on a public forum - especially as it seems this man is making money as a mechanic. I can see the allure of the 'cheap' copies of VCDS in the eyes of a hobbyist or enthusiast, but if you are using the software to make a profit for yourself in your business then I really think you should be purchasing it legally through the official route - this also guarantees you support from Ross Tech if you have any issues at all.

nice video thanks for explanation, i have a 1.6 tdi fabia combi 2nd gen, second hand, got a this emergency mode on a rode trip 4 months ago, started as brief loss of power while pushing gas, was a cable for the egr valve according the mechanic not sure now that you show where is located the valve, this cable was in front of motor, sorry to long comment, my question is after that emergency mode happened i felt loss of power couple times again but with no emergency going in, and now 3 months past and till now i didnt felt again. Based in your experience what can be? i took to mechanic 2 times and both try the scan to look for a fault but is not showing any, i even took them to a highway to see and hope they felt this loss of power and see something in the scanner but no luck, so i end up with same answer "come when it happened"
There is possibility of vacuum leak that's why is loss of power usually bypass valve of egr cooler is damage and you can try to disconnect the vacuum hose and plug it with m4 bolt and try driving
I got same problem with skoda fabia 2. Code error 0407 and a lot white smoke from the exhaust pipe. So I have question. The second hand egr you used from which car?? ASAP

How do you removed the part with magnet (about 10:00 in video)? It is not enough to remove these three bolts, because it is not possible to take it out from the center hole then, because we have this part with magnet and gear in one side and this metal hook in another :( and one more question maybe you know why it is not enough just to change this part with motor and sensor and we should change magnet also together?
The magnet needs to be with electric plate on the motor because motor is programed with the moving magnet you can install new motor if the gear with the magnet is ok but you have to replace electric plate from the old one to the new motor

@@mechanicigor Hmm, do not understand it really, I also tried to remove these three bolts - everything is ok it is possible to separate it from the whole unit, but the center hole is just too small to push it away. I mean the red part ( imgur.com/a/g0zOmmd ) is quite bigger then the blue hole through which we should remove it somehow, or you somehow removed this red part from the rod itself? But it seems like that it is the one part (gear one one side, rod in the midle and this red metal part in the other side)
@@mantasneviera when you remove three bolts then you can pull and separate the plastic gear from the shaft and after that you can return on other egr you want to install

You can use from fabia polo pasat seat caddy as long as the engine is 1.6tdi from 2010 and up

I removed the bolts by removing them simultaneously with 1 turn and push down the part until it's free to disconnect from the valve

Luis Barreto glow plug light doesn't mean there is problem with glow plugs better check with diagnostics tester
