    Valino Pergea C is my favourite tire. Can usually drive an entire day on 1 pair on my 360whp s14 and has similar grip to same size 200tw zeknovas and 180tw sailuns in my experience (maybe slightly faster then the same size zeknova). I have not found a better grip and life per dollar tire to date and I’ve been trying to find one driving as many tires as possible when I have the chance.

      What kind of track surface, layout, and wheel speed are you looking at? What size tire too?

    Loving the tip tuesday videos, really like hearing the nitty gritty and seeing all the nerdy stuff that goes into making a competitive drift car now a days. Keep it up my man!

    Oh man, I really wish the two other tires were included.
    1st- Valino 08C 300TW was induced. I my tests, it outperforms the Zeknova in every parameter. Grip 8.5, Duration 9.5, Consistency - 9, Smoke 9. The prices is only a little bit more. totally justify the extra expense.
    2nd - Kenda Vezda/Kaiser Kr20a 300tw. I my tests, it outperforms the Accelera pretty much everywhere except grip, it has -0.5 ness grip. but it lasts like 11, haha. Definetly thats the Party tire. My wife and I did 70 laps on ONE set. 4 laps back to back, water pit, 10minute break (car was getting hot, #texas), The interesting part is that, its looses a lot of grip as it wears out, but it's loosing it consistently. So it does not just drop of one lap to another.
    Interestingly, when I ran Accelera, once we put the more powerful engine, tire just stopped working for me, it grip for the first lap and then loose all the grip, it would from 6 to 2. so I would cap the person behind me, and then could not keep up. which looked like I am sand bagging...

      From my tests the pergea c has been the best all around tire too, especially for sub 500whp cars. You can do an entire comp on 1 pair of 265’s and still have life left and be one of the fastest cars on track.

    • @driftergonewild
      @driftergonewild 5 месяцев назад

      @@GannonRacki same here, it definitely depends on the car set up, on event I had the car kinda loose, thinking that Valino will be super grippy, so I was really spinning the tire, so the valino did not last more then 6-8 laps. but once I hooked it up and wheels speed decreased, they would last 12-14 laps.

    Valuable, scarce info, thanks for sharing. Tried some TriAce RS 200tw this last weekend, brilliant side and forward bite, low duration (2.5 - 3 laps of a 33s track). Also tested the Valino tw300 which had about 75% of the grip but lasted about 2.5x as much. Sadly didn't get to test the 200tw Valinos for a more direct comparison.

    You should have weighted the importance of each category. That way a high rating of smoke doesnt have as much affect as something like a high rating of grip. Also should definetley do a price category too.

      @wirekat 5 месяцев назад +1

      We run one on our 350z with just stock HP. Better consistent tire wear and you can dial the grip under load.

    how do the tires that dominated FD the last 10 years (615k, 555g2, 123S) stack up against this new batch of drift tires (valino, vitour, xtreme)
    i know grassroots people don’t run falken and nitto because of cost but where do they stack in performance? is the new vitour better than a nitto 555g2 etc? love these vids thanks bro

    How do you feel about a driver trying to stick to the same tire all year with a lower budget.
    Lets say you have a driver that wants to use a certain tire in competition, but has fun events aswell and may not be able to afford the competition tire they use. What would you recommend doing?

    I know Toyo has mostly 100 and less tires but they do make a 200 tw autocross tire and they are coming out with their new blue drifting tire, what do you think about Toyo. I've used the R888R on track and loved it but I know it wares too much for drifting and it's not cheep

      From what i know, the Achilles was the ultimate tire. Some said the 255 performed better than most larger tires from other brands. In today’s market the Valino is probably the most similar. At FD this year I will ask Forrest just because he ran the Achilles and now on Vitour

    Smoke should never matter. What's the point other than "cool" factor for the crowd. Smoke or no smoke that's not what's important

    • @jdmspirit99
      @jdmspirit99 5 месяцев назад

      It’s for the show, so you get points for it. You cannot maximize points if your car doesn’t smoke in drift.
