Experience has taught me to limit the collection space (to a single room in my case). Once the collection becomes too large to comfortably maintain and curate, it ends up owning your ass. It can be very stressful until you realize the situation you've put yourself into. The catch though, is that as your collection becomes more refined, the harder it becomes to let go of stuff.
I’m currently doing a series like that on my channel actually lol doubled the shelves I started with 6 months ago and have many more videos to make on it 😅
Amazing collection. Basically the entire apartment is an action figure display room. How he can afford all of it at his age and working at Gamestop is beyond me. Even Mando and Hot Toys. So much of his collection is recent in the last three years or so. Looks like all he does is spend his money on action figures.
I haven’t and wont watch the full video but maybe no girl, no, kids, no car, no house so no mortgage..maybe he doesn’t eat well. Those guys are the male version of the lady cats in the simpsons..
Cool collection but it gives me anxiety seeing so much crammed in together and looking unorganized. It's a bit too much random crap all over the place.
This is a cool series and definitely something collectors love to see. "What does that guy have that I don't?" Also good for inspiration. One note. Either before, or after you should do a wide shot tour of the spaces. There's a lot of closeups, but the whole room shot is where you can really get the 'theme' of the collection.
I had to take apart all my lego sets and stored them because of lack of room and i was more interested in using that space for display gi joe classified. Im not selling my lego sets because i know i will never get them back for retail price. I did catalog my sets using microsoft onedrive before taking them apart.
Come on man...."investment" means that he is making money on the stuff. This guy has dumped him cash into a bottomless pit. All the shiet is opened, making it worthless.
I think what I liked the best was to hear 'first time I've seen this out of the box'. Toys are to be played with not to be left in the box. Also the creativity in using the door frame as a display 'shelf'. Absolutely awesome but I can't help but think how hard it must be to dust off that collection 😅
I'm devorced with no kids and living in a one bedroom apartment in Hamilton Ontario Canada and have 2 bookshelves full of transformers and Star wars, Pop figures and etc
Glad to see the on the road tours happen! Space is always an issue for me a well even with an entire bedroom for my collection. I emailed you about touring mine a few months ago and the offer still stands (I tried the application link and it says not permitted/I need to be in the owners organization)
wow, what an experience! the cinematography was like Michael Bay and Zack Snyder had a large love child, amazing. my favorite part was the RAID Shadow Legends included promotion.
I would store three quarters of the collection in bins. Not sell. Set up display areas and cycle / rotate my collection in and out of properties im feeling at the time. Keeps me engaged with my collection. Displaying everything at once becomes clutter.
This is one of the most impressive collections I have seen, especially for his age! The question I have is how do you safely move this collection when your lease is up?
WOW! That's nutz! What an impressive collection. This guy obviously doesn't have a wife and little kids running around the house. My wife is super supportive of my hobby. (Hot Toys, ThreeZero, and other 1/6 scale figures and 1/18 diecast T.V. & movie vehicles) But if I tried displaying more than a couple of figures in our living room or dinning room.....That would be an issue! This guys apartment is one giant happy place!
sad some fans think Snyder, fans who liked Snyder’s movies, & the cast are the problem when literally WB botched movies, delayed them, rewrote them, The Rock needed permission to use Cavill, they hired Joss instead of delaying the movie a year bc of a family tragedy or they could’ve hired a likeminded Snyder director bc it was more than 50% finished, etc. Literally every cast on Josstice League hated it. It made Ben hate Batman. Still, Cavill & Ben came back in Black Adam & The Flash.
that's so much stuff, partly jealous but mostly relief I don't have that issue with space, and in my opinion it's better to set up a quota on the size of your collection, and if ever you go over that size limit, you sell which ever you like less to meet that size limit.
There’s more college toy collectors out there?! Ayeee, I collect vintage MOTU and vintage and modern JP. I share an apartment, so as of now the toys have not flooded out of my room lol
If you ever get to Minnesota, you might want to film my collection! I doubt that you have ever seen anything like it! I've been collecting since 1993 and I have stuff dating back to the Fifties!
Awesome video. 👍👍. This fella knows how to maximise bugger all space very very well. Personally i have 1 spare bedroom and space is very valuable real estate.
man it would be nice to display a collection of this size, i have a good size collection but due to bullshit i'm limited to displaying small portions of it on small shelves
Holy Smackdown! That was not a toy “room”… that was a toy convention! Loved the flyers on the ceiling! I would love to do that however, my wife would fly me to the moon if I even asked! Was partial to the Turboman figure (hehe). Hot Toys Iron Man! Someday!
I am TRULY impressed with Mike's collection in such a confined space. Way to go using the space that you have, Mike! BRAVO!! The million dollar question: What color is Mike's walls? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A series that would be cool is like a fix your display collection series where people get their display collection redone.
I would love to see a series like that
I’m currently doing a series like that on my channel actually lol doubled the shelves I started with 6 months ago and have many more videos to make on it 😅
Bobby Skullface has a segment called Collection Critique. While it’s geared more towards Transformers, it does a good job of discussing displays

My thing is keeping a giant collection free of dust 😂 it can take forever to dust your figures and display shelves
I wish they’d redo the terminator Kenner figures. I know neca did some but it’s a modern style, I want the vintage style like the reissued turtles.
Dude ain’t gettin laid in that apartment! 😂 Love the collection though!
As a previous store owner, that guy has tons of money invested. Great collection.
