Your right. Downsizing isnt for everyone. Ive had my huge collection for about 20 years now, and I am 31 years old and one thing I hate the most is selling a figure and then wanting to use it in a photo shoot but cant because i sold it, so having my collection sit in a Box behind other boxes doesn't bother me because I know that it's accessible when I would like to take photos or just simply play around with the figure.

To me, if I dont think about something for 1 month in my collection, I will sell it. Dont try to find reasons to store too many things in your collection. Just sell it like it do and enjoy the items you love the most. You will love them x3 x5 times than before when your collection is small enough (eg. Under 50 pieces). That will compensate for everything. Box after box, deep inside storage cabinet ... Absolute worst life of an item, if you ever like it at all. If you truely love that item and run out of space to show it upfront? Sell other stupid items, sell less interested items to make space or grind money to buy bigger house. All of my diecast cars are showed upfront in my room so I can see, touch every day.

Thanks for posting this! I've collected military surplus for 10 years now but for the last 8 months I've struggled with wanting and not wanting to downsize my collection. I will now apply your tips to my collection, thanks!

Awesome video! As somebody who collects Star Wars figures as my main but has A BUNCH of extra of random toys I'm trying to downsize everything around those. Thanks for the video

Thanks for this video! I'm going through significant downsizing right now on my toy collection and while it makes me sad to let go of stuff that at one point I was so crazy for, it somehow makes me feel better to know that the ones that will be left behind will be appreciated more.

Collecting all the gundam msia for me was a great joy, and in time that changed. Collecting what I love the most and displaying it in dioramas is now my great joy. :)

I have some of my Hotwheels and Matchbox cars in shadow boxes that I can display on the walls. Museums have collections in their basements and rotate out the collections that they put on display. Love ypur comments about thinning out the collections as we mature in thought.

Thank you for the video! I'm actually watching this because I'm downsizing my rock collection from years of road trips and walking along Lake Superior LOL. I'm moving into a tiny apartment and it's time to let this stuff go!

Great video, I collected antique phonographs and radios cylinder and 78 rpm record then when I became a musician I collected vintage snare drums and drums sets! Talk about things that take up space! 25 antique phonographs and 25 antique radios 12 drum sets and 30 snare drums I have to think about letting things go and I like your comments about collecting for the sake of collecting or collecting and enjoying and the items and using them. Great video!

Thank you for posting this. I'm a barbie and other doll collector and I applied these things you discuss to whittling down from 200 to 125. Any other rules or ideas to help with further driving down my number?

I would like to part ways with most of my MSiAs if I could get models or better figures to compensate for them... the problem is sometimes the MSiA figure IS the better deal.

At 4:30 Amen, Brother! We could have gotten more Gundam Wing Leos, maybe my favorite, the Virgo Mobile Dolls and more UC figures if it hadn't been for the pegwarmers of G-Gundam figures.
