I wasn't sure if I would be able to save this mid 1970s dining table, but I had to try! While there was no way to get this much damage absolutely PERFECT, I did what I could to prolong the life of this Danish teak veneer and solid teak table.

You should stick a sticker on the back of your furniture with a QR code that takes you to a video on RUclips of that piece of furniture being renovated.
So over the years withnew owners of the furniture even 50 years from now will see your video and see you refinishing it.
I just think it is a nice idea someone in 50 years might come across the QR code scan it then watch it.

Those holes in the ends of the table apron are for “Dutch Leaves” which extend the size of the table very elegantly with a simple angled support. My Mom’s Danish Modern dining table has them. I will be refinishing that 50 year old table with Odie’s Oil inspired by your work.

Oh is that how they are called? That's a cool bit of information for a Dutchie like me. As far as I know we do not have a specific name for them. Then again, you hardly see them nowadays. Personally I have an extendable table with a piece folded in the middle, between the two halve circles. My grandma's had tables where the leaves would be stored under the top, you would just pull them out. Never gave a thought about the mechanics of it!

The set was/is solid teak and they were foldable….I’m still kicking myself over letting my hubby trash the loveseat🙈😭 probably something very fixable… but I’m happy to have my chairs because they are beautiful and will most likely outlast me. So I have an idea, you need to start selling “gear” with your logo on it and the first item, coasters! Then with every table, nightstand, or basically anything with a top that you sell, you give a set of two or four to the buyer. Seriously though, I’d totally buy a mug with your logo on it.💜

I have such an important day tomorrow for work and was crossing my fingers and hoping that there would be a new refinishing video I could catch before bed. Just wanted to say thank you. You and Dash have such a calming styles. And while your artwork is mind-blowing in and of itself, i’m also so grateful for content that helps me destress and feel good when I need some recharging. ♥️

You saved it and it is gorgeous! MCM is my favorite style of furniture and I am fortunate to have inherited my childhood home filled with original MCM furniture in good shape. I am binge watching your channel. It's so inspiring.

That piece is gorgeous! You did miracle work. Angie can you do a video on the finishing products you use and why you choose the one you choose. I am a newbie and I am slowly adding products you use. But I don't know why you chose the oil you did and say not Odies oil. Loving your channel Angie, I just can't get enough.

You probably know this already Angie, but Vejle Stole og Møbel Fabrik (Vejle Chair and Furniture Factory) opened in the 1890´s and consistently produced high quality wood furniture all through the 20th Century. Unfortunately the Factory declared bankrupcy in 2011 and shut its doors for good. This restoration took me from sad to proud! (I´m danish) You are outrageously talented and I rejoice every time you work your magic on ruined furniture, especially mid-century Danish, ofcourse! 💖

    Hi from California!
I am watching your new video as I write this. I am doing the same thing and using a old desk as my gun cleaning/maintenance work station. The desk top is huge and I am going to turn it into a trestle table. The desk was made of solid cherry rails and stiles with walnut veneer panels and desk top. I acquired the desk from the school where I work, they were going to throw it away because the desk was so huge that none of the teachers wanted it. Love your Channel!

Thank you for changing up the music for the reveal. I used to turn it way down because it was just too much for my sensitive soul lol. Now I have a great time watching the reveal segment.

Haha I actually have two songs I go back and forth between. I usually use the other one for the “OMG” reveals as it’s a bit more dramatic. I just felt like switching it up for this one. :-)

I have this table. Bought it abt. 35 years ago from a Silicon Valley start up company that was transitioning to a new facility. I paid $60, which felt like a lot then, when MCM was not "a thing". It's in near-original condition. You're inspiring me to give it some wax.
