The way you're breaking everything down is incredible. I really hope you keep this going man. You're on a path to greatness. This was a really great idea, and you will be successful with this 💪🏾💯🔥

      It really is a genuinely good thing to have people who have first-hand experience with drug usage, to educate people and let them know of not only just the dangers that they have experienced and dealt with personally, but also to be truthful about drug usage and explain (while obviously not encouraging it) the actual effects and the feelings associated with different chemicals that are the reason people use and in some cases become addicted to said chemicals/drugs. The anti-drug propaganda of programs like DARE does a very poor job at thoroughly educating because they demonize it and scare some people (which is a good thing in a way, but fear mongering and misinformation make people far less knowledgeable and understanding) and make others curious. By telling the truth, the whole truth, it’s honest about the effects and why people use them and what they feel/what happens, etc. while also explaining the consequences of chronic use, or even a one-time use at too high a dosage, etc. If you make it into your early to mid 20s without ever having used hard drugs (marijuana and psychedelics, and maybe a rare usage of MDMA is okay, but I wouldn’t advise going any further than that) then definitely don’t ever start. I wish I hadn’t been such an experimental and curious person growing up, and I don’t blame anyone other than myself for having made the decisions I did, but I will say that when I first began using marijuana and years later psilocybin mushrooms, I realized that all of the anti-drug stuff and even just the effects of drugs and the stigma around those substances I had tried was totally false. That piqued my interest to figure out if it were just some substances they lied about or if it was all total bullshit. Had I been properly educated and informed with truth in its entirety, I might not have been so willing to continue experimenting if I hadn’t felt lied to after using other substances.

      You'll never know and your unexperienced opinion has very, very little to do with what actually happens.
      Negative effects are managable and tend to have more to do with what people do with themselves than what drugs do to people.

    I am an addict in recovery and my DOC was crack cocaine. During my active addiction, I chased the ringers like crazy. It was a sign that the coke was good especially if I got one on the first hit. Now being sober, the thought of getting a ringer makes me quite literally want to be sick/faint. Thinking about how much constriction my blood vessels went through, my poor lungs, the panic attacks I would have once I got to the end of my stash, extremely low blood sugar from not eating for days, fainting from dehydration, forgetting ALL about personal hygiene, sweating out the toxins, dry mouth and mouth sores from the pipe. It is the devil of obsession.

      To elaborate further, I'm a severe alcoholic and drug addict with Bipolar 1 and raging OCD. I'm 31 years old and have been battling mental illness since around 5 years old. And thus, to combat it, I have aggressively consumed and self medicated with alcohol and almost every drug under the sun since I was about 11 years old. Approximately 6 months ago I made the decision to try crack cocaine for the first time. And no surprise, as a result, have lost almost everything in that duration.

    • @Alexander_W
      @Alexander_W Год назад

      However, on a positive note I am about 3 weeks clean and sober at my 5th treatment center in Malibu, CA. That being said, I need to be radically transparent and concede that I still can't stop obsessing over that initial "bellringer" I achieved 6 months ago using crack cocaine for the first time.
      I honestly don't know how I am alive, but "just for today" I'm not imprisoned with a fuming hot pipe in my hand. I wouldn't wish crack addiction on my worst enemy. I sincerely wish the absolute best and offer the utmost hope and support to anyone else struggling like me with this insidious addiction. Thank you sober dawg for giving me a glimmer of hope... 🙏

      if they’re constantly twitching and/or acting paranoid. stimulants and paranoia go hand in hand, and sometimes can cause twitching. if they tend to ramble on about things that are either pointless or just dont make sense. the euphoria induced by stimulants can cause many users to go into hyperfixation on the smallest things, which is often accompanied by insane talkativeness. if they have mood swings. im not talking minor ones. im talking one moment they’re the happiest person on earth, they seem genuinely interested in you and anything you have to say, always likes to start conversations. then the next they’re very angry, impulsive, and sometimes violent, as if they’re mad at the world. these swings can happen literally minutes at a time (time between when they use). if their mood swings never really “go away”, rather it’s bad, horrible mood, then a couple minutes later its all sunshine and rainbows, drug use can be a cause of that. dilated pupils is a big one, stimulants are known to cause pupil dilation, while downers such as opiates cause pupil constriction. lastly, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, but if they constantly (as in maybe 10-20 times in an hour) “need to grab something out of their car” or “need to use the bathroom” or just disappearing for a few minutes with some weird excuse, then popping back in, chances are they’re using crack. because crack and cocaine are short lasting highs, users have to constantly redose to sustain a high. this is very very prevalent with crack users, even more so than coke users, as crack tends to only last 2-5 minutes tops. if your friend is constantly acting like this, consider seeking help for them. be careful confronting them as stimulant users can get very aggressive especially when confronted about use/suspected use. Godspeed, brotha. if your friend is struggling i truly pray for their recovery.

    That's not 100% accurate at all. I do get the bell ringer after strong shot. Seconds after having the shot you can hear everything. Even if a dog barks miles away. Your ears are wide open and is so intense you think everyone is aware of what you are doing that every sound or conversation from a TV for example gets you freaking out. I usually prefer to shut down the windows, turn off the TV or music and be in absolute silence. It feels safer that way.
