I like how this building is actually 50 floors. Some of the Vegas hotels are weird where they say there are like 60 floors when in reality they are like 40 or even 10 floors. I'm not sure how that system works.
Floors 40-49 are skipped in a lot of Vegas hotels because they're considered unlucky numbers in some Asian cultures. Vegas is a gambling town so...yeah.
@@DieselDucy In a lot of cases, it makes perfect sense. In these big hotels with multiple towers, the floor numbers keep increasing in each tower. It eliminates confusion. (i.e. there aren't 3 20th floors)
I LOVE this elevator system. However, it has aged quite a bit since I stayed at this property in 2013. Still smooth despite all the noises. Also, I am getting a kick out of how exhausted I sound in this video. Did I ever tell you that when I drove home from Vegas I fell asleep for three hours? LOL
@@mariokart8715 ocean resort, opened in 2012 as Revel. Fun fact they just finished 12 floor of the high rise that were empty since 2012, with another bank of elevators that sat unused.
After installation of that bank, those elevators were turned off for a decade. This wasn’t good at all. That was a mistake. Too bizarre. It’s like when new retail buildings get built, they wait this long for retail space to get filled in.
@@fgpalm no way!! Where are they? Also, even though the buttons didn’t work I thought they still had 27-38 in the mid rise elevators. What floors does the other banks serve?
@@DieselDucy ikkkkkkkkkkr‼️ It definitely was‼️ I love this place‼️ They are loaded with Otis elevators. They have one series 5 that is on the Grand Canal Shoppes Pedestrian Bridge. All of the other elevators are Series 4 just like these. This is also the largest hotel in America as well!
❤ these opulent elevators… these are the 1000 FPM elevonic 411s. Actually how did you get access to these? They require guests to swipe key cards before going in the hallway.
Awesome fun hotel
It really is!
I love the rhythm of the motor and STILL the best sets of elevator.

I know right? Like why make the 20 th floor the 60 th floor ? Makes no sense.
@@DieselDucy I think they're shorted by the room numbers IMO.

Just like an uncommon floor is the 13th floor.

Wide usually

Are they Otis Luxury or Otis series 2
Not sure
Wait, there are EIGHT of these?!

How did you even get in? In order to get in, you need to show a card from the hotel to a security guard before entering
We got in a crowd and went right by
@@DieselDucy so you just had to get in before the key card sensor turns off?
