  • "You have to provide bullets and artillery rounds, but smart weapons are. That's where the game changer is genuinely provided by the West."
Ukraine could "find a different way of fighting the war" as US missiles and British boats sent to Ukraine will enhance their capability to strike Crimea, says retired Air Vice-Marshal Sean Bell.

In both Junior High and High School, we had two different bullies always picking on the weak. At first, I observed a minor incident but when bully #1 threw a mentally handicapped boy to the gym floor intentionally, I challenged him. Then he lunged at me. I knocked him flatly on the floor. No more harassment of the weak. All the bullying stopped. Same with bully 2.
Sometimes you have to make a stand and do the right thing to protect the weak.
It’s no different with Putin & Russians.
NATO should provide support troops and free up UA soldiers to fight on the front line.
Russia knows if they use nukes, they can expect the same.
Most politicians never took on the bully in a school yard so they just don’t get it. And there is no guarantee Russia may not strike first regardless as they want us not to interfere. The bully does not want to be challenged.
    Stand tall!

The whole world failed Ukraine right at the beginning before Russia even considered invading.
In the 90s Russia marched in when the war in Bosnia started (kind of makes you wonder HOW that really started now?) but British forces followed them in under UN flags, and Russia turned tail.
Consider Russia is a member of the UN…
When the so called none Russian soldiers started fighting before the full invasion, the UN (of whom Russia is a member) should have stepped up and said they would send peace keeping forces made up of Russia, Britain, and France.
This would have put Russia on the spot immediately while implying they were there as a supportive role. In this scenario they would have had no choice but to de-escalate, giving legitimate reason for external forces to be alongside Russian forces without a war footing to watch over them.

Ukraine can take a lot of that blame on itself as well.
Just look at its history since the collapse of the USSR, the corruption, playing Russia off on the west and vice versa to get what it wanted for its Elites who've robbed the country blind for over 30 years.
Especially, its former President Kuchma and his Oligarch son in law Viktor Pinchuk, who by the way has the Pinchuk foundation (a whitewashing organization)who's attendees have included Bill Clinton, Niall Ferguson, Kissinger, Tony Blair and a whole host of other prominent westerners in an attempt to cleanse the reputations of these 2 scoundrels.

Do you have any idea how lob sided this contest actually is, if it went live. Russia understands/understood this. Even during the cold war they understood this.
Russia has conscription at the moment. Of course they have a large army and at the moment NATO doesn't. Europeans doing a limited conscription similar to Russia, on their own would dwarf that number by a factor of around 2.5. Europe is 440mil, Russia is only 140 mil pop. What did Winston Churchill accuse the Soviet Union of?

all this could have been avoided if nato had listened to putin when he said dont get any closer to our borders

Don't be silly. NATO wasn't moving closer to Russia, Ukraine was moving away from Putin, and it was moving away from Putin because Putin doesn't respect their sovereignty. This is all Putin's doing, if he wasn't an authoritarian despot then his country would be thriving right now.

Putin is the thief who CROSSED borders. In Chechnya, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, .... Who's next? There is no sane reason to listen to any of his lies.

Use your brain, why do you think we havnt actually gone in. If we thought we could get away with going in we would have. It’s because we know we have no grounds to go in. Well you don’t but anyone who knows anything knows we’re pushing and pushing and pushing and any retaliation is justified. But we do it anyway because.. you guessed it.. insane profits. Profit and money is the only reason we’ve created this situation that forced Russia to deploy, whatever you’re feeling right now whilst reading what I’m saying just stop and realise it’s all theatre to rob us out of tax money

Usa would need europe support on that, a nato iniciative. At that time, europe wasn't at best relations with usa due to iraq invasion.
Even the trump don't give russian gas monopoly wasn't heard. That's a consequence of iraq wmd that weren't there. Geopolitics are always more complex than just allies vs enemies.
