Hello everybody and welcome!
This is the second episode of "What Is Improvisation?", my series dedicated to improvisation in music. In “Just Listen” I focus on the fundamental role of listening in free improvised music both for the audience and the musicians. I summarize the basic building blocks of non idiomatic improvisation and suggest some exercises to train your ears to recognize them, even if you are not familiar with this approach to music making. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
