Absolutely amazing!..what a beautiful human being...so in tune, not only with herself, but with the universe..if only we had more people like this in our currently tormented world ...a wonderful woman!..thank you so much for sharing a part of your glorious soul with us!....
Unfortunately kids now are raised in such a way that doesn't promote respect, so teachers like her would just get called "those weird music ladies". I would love to have had such art teachers back when I was still in school though.
Carolina is a charming person, someone who makes an overcast day brighter by her presence. As for the theremin, looks as if it would difficult to master but fun to play around w/ just to create some cool/weird sounds. Imagine having one in an apartment building; could really "freak out" the neighbors!
I like Eyck. I would love to see her play the Badgermin, the combination theremin and stuffed badger created by Britisher David Cramner about ten years ago.
My emotional response to this instrument was instantly there. Then add her instrument? Double that , words do not convey anything close to this. My soul heard the music of its home
I just watched the 1951 movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still" and this was the instrument used to create the sound of the spaceship. The spokesperson for the movie said that the producer had a very difficult time finding someone who knew how to play one
Dr. Samuel Hoffman, an L.A. podiatrist, played on many Hollywood soundtracks, like The Day the Earth Stood Still, Spellbound, Lost Weekend, Spiral Staircase, Devil's Weed, It Came From Outer Space, Day the World Ended, Impact, Rocketship X-M, & a 1955 episode of I Love Lucy. There were only about 5 pro theremin players in the world back then. The master was Clara Rockmore, Leon Theremin's unrequited love. He proposed 4X to her but she married some guy named...Rockmore.
The finger system is based on C, so I am curious that how to play a minor song in theremin? Will it be too annoying that your 0 position is on C while the song's base note is A?
Eventually you learn to work chromatically and can move around between keys and even modulate from one position, Carolina's technique (one of many) helps beginners get started with something if they are not very strong muscially, which is great.
I wish I could get in touch with you. Your thoughts are right in line with what I've been believing about"tuning in your body." Mine is shutting down and I wish I could somehow communicate with you to learn ways to explore the source of the disharmony in my life.. Today was the first day spent in the hospital dealing with pain that is so intense I can't function. You are on to something. I know it. If there a way to find a website you have or such that I might discuss this theory with you and get you to help me get with my upcoming instrument selection. It would be a life altering experience for us both with nothing but positive results coming from it fur is both, of this I'm certain. It has to be or things may continue to fail or spin out of control in my life. I'm a true fan of your music, been looking everywhere for a copy of you playing Claire de Lune. You have the chance to change the course of a life, as a teacher, I thrive in these situations. It's a rare opportunity and I pray you might give this some thought. Sticks
@@themightymcb7310 Mind you, I said "itself". I did not personify God. Therefore, it could mean anything revelatory that can manifest through the human mind. How is that insulting?
@@themightymcb7310 I get you. However, I understand her too. Because even with practice, there's nothing we find here that we really 'created.' Every wisdom and knowledge kind of already exists. We search and find it. Of course practice has brought her here, but the tools, the science of sound and the human body, no human created. It was put in place by 'God' It's like going to space, our hardwork may take us there, but its existence ain't our making.
The “Disconnect” came from the Garden of Eden, and Adam and Eves Sin against our God. No “reconnect” is possible outside of the Way provided by God, which is Christ dying for OUR sins, and rising that we might have Forgiveness. All else is humans trying to use their own righteousness, which does and must fail.
Correction....it's a disconnection from our Heavenly Father, the creator and designer of all harmonized frequencies which make up all things; the greatest fulfillment of ourselves is to be aligned with Him.
Such a gracious, gentle yet strong beautiful woman. What an incredible gift of music Carolina has given us all. I love her too.
Hush! With all that silly sentiment. Hush!
What a lovely person. So right, we get caught up in life and forget or never even discover our true selves.
I love this girl... Her soul is very pure.
Yea its made of 100% pure salt

Absolutely beautiful and I think I found my instrument!!!
The piano has been around 100’s of years! Why haven’t you found that. It’s the most beautiful.
Hush! With all that silly sentiment. Hush!
Absolutely charming performance around the end, especially with all that reverberation)
Loop station : the real modern magic.
More women like this are needed in every high school as teachers

@@BananaManPL wtf are you on about, most young people love and appreciate their most passionate teachers

I'm a music teacher with 60 private students, I am going to show them this since I'm sure it's not in a K-12 curriculum
A Masters course in Theremin theory and performance!

Wowww!!! it’s all I can say right now. Thanks for this masterpiece, Carol! Cheers from Brazil!
Beautiful music from the heart and soul!!!!!!!! Makes me feel I want to save up for a nice Theramin and learn to play it well :-)
Great message and wonderful playing 🎶🎶
Greetings from Austria! You are so inspiring, Carolina.
She is wonderful.
Inspiring!!
My depression medication impedes my ability to play the theremin
You just smile 😊

@@theremingary got it, thank for your info, which is pure gold. It is hard but at least there is a destination guide where theremin practice goes to.
Stunning
What's the song called and where can I buy it?
"Smile " by Nat King Cole. Michael Jackson also did a cover of it.
Nat King Cole did a fine version of it, but it was composed by Charlie Chaplin.
How does she sing multiple parts at once???
She records it then uses the device at her right foot to loop and develop it
Loop station, look it up, there are many cool street performances with it on RUclips. I love that!
So cool. Great use of the Loop Station
I love her❤️
gratuliere!

No matter what you do, theremin sounds like ghost music!
Inspiring.

I just love the way God expresses itself through women..
Ascribing her sheer skill and passion to god instead of her own practice and conviction is frankly insulting...

what does it have to do with the fact she is a woman? There are men who play theremin too..

This girl has a taste man.
Can someone here locate some wood mulch for my garden, please?!
Plot twist: She had to GRIP the theremin REALLY HARD just for it not to make a sound.
It’s a…..gimmick.
Goodness….is the instrument used with a symphony? Of course not. It’s a cheap novelty act.
Give one theremin to Nancy Pelosi, maybe we know what her hand movements mean.
