Great content and love the videos! One training exercise I learned about several years back to improve my recoil management capability and follow through was to shoulder a spare/junk stock, get a solid cheek weld, and have a friend hit the front of the foreend of the stock with hammer. I would then train myself to not flinch, not blink, and not move my cheek relative to the comb, before, during, or after the impact. After this, I was able to watch 308 bullets impact the target at 100 yards through the scope, like I was shooting a .223.
nice to see someone is getting groups with these bullets, from what I can tell lots of people have struggled with them, but on ballistic gel they seem amazing. Hope to try them in 308 and 30-06
Well made video. I really like the bench and target on one screen. I’ve been looking at this bullet for my armalite ar10 nm. I think I have some 4064 so looks like a good place to start. Keep it up!
Thanks Seth!
Easy 44.5 of IMR 4064

I loaded 500 of these 120 GN. Gold dots in 6.5 Grendel for deer and hogs. This bullet is exceptional. Want to try them in 30 Cal. But they're hard to find.
42.8 is the load in Federal Gold medal Match with 168 MK of IMR 4064
Speer Deep Curl and Gold Dot rifle projectiles used to come with a warning to only use the specific Speer data for that individual bullet. They warned against using data for ‘same weight’ bullets. Something to do with the construction of the bullet presenting a potential over pressure situation when using standard data. This video is a year old now, so I assume it went well...
Works great with 168 sierra hpbt also
Have you tried Barnes Bullets? I really like the 168gr tsx with IMR 4064. Shoots really well in my 06.
Quest for the perfect load not yet! I used to shoot a 250gr Barnes Expander MZ in my .50 cal muzzleloader and loved it though. Maybe I’ll give that TSX or TTSX a try!
I know I'm watching an old video , here's an experimental load
150 gr nosler bt
Primer federal 210m or gm210m
Powder CFE 223
Min charge of 48.4 velocity 2,764
Max charge of 51.4 velocity 2,974
C.O.L 2.800
Trim length 2.005
My .308 go to load is 42grs of IMR4064 in FC Brass with FGMM Primers and 168gr SMK's for work out to around 800 yds. Anything after that is 175 SMK's. Keep your Powder dry and keep shoot'n.
Love imr 4064
I know this was several months ago, but do you remember what COAL and or how much jump in these loads?
Matt Fleming 2.80” was the OAL, and I actually don’t remember if I took a jump measurement on these or not.
@@TheOutdoorGeneralist Cool, thanks! I haven't ordered/loaded any. I try to have a comprehensive plan before jumping into anything new. $/rd vs. performance for "general purpose" these seem to be the ticket! I'm -hoping- I can find a load that's only a minor adjustment from 168smk. I appreciate you sharing your experiences!
Good groups take that other sling stud out and they will be better don’t drag that stud on your bags😉
U keep stopping to soon!!!!!! Flat primers r ok. Director marks it what I should b more concerned about.
