    Very relatable once again XD
The feeling i have, especially in the academic field, is that either my brain is opperating two steps ahead of my colleagues or two steps behind, but never at the same pace as everyone else.
Self diagnosis is ok, as long as you don't self medicate or something like that.
Getting a proper diagnostic of what neurodivergence I've got personally helped me a lot! Not only accepting myself a little better, but also on how to make the best of it. But that's because it's something i wanted to find out and it was affordable.

Daaam, you sayin so many true things in this one! I had the same experience of being called "weird" and transphobic slurs in middle school like over 10 years before I really came out - I don't know HOW they figured it out before I did lmao.
I'm glad you can say "they were just kids too" about those high school bullies, that means you're in a good place mentally to see their own failures and forgive them, in some type of way.
    Thank you for being you!!

yeah as an autistic/adhd diagnosed individual you seemed to nail it on the head here. I remember when was in high school not exactly feeling 'weird' but certainly feeling as if I was outside of social bubbles, i couldnt exactly but my finger on why but thats just how i felt, even with my own friend group. I saw this video recommended from the other video you made "being nonbinary kinda sucks" and again very similar experience to what i had. but what you may not know is that neurodivergencies and queer identities are very clearly corelated, if you can you should DEFINITELY see if you can get some kind of testing for an official diagnosis as its personally helped me tremendously with understanding and comprehending the differences we have with neurotypicals and with proper medication. not to say that self diagnosis is bad or anything, theres no way to even begin to tell if you have something if you dont recognize your differences. Ive reached a point where Im really proud of being adhd/autistic and i wouldnt have it any other way!
    keep doing you k :)

Had to drop out of uni last year bc the school i was going to was basically like uh sorry no accommodations for u lol (I'm diagnosed adhd and autistic) and it was quite possibly the (second) worst point in my life. It really sucks being neurodivergent, well, pretty much anywhere, but especially in Nigeria where no one knows or cares about that kinda stuff. Hopefully the school im about to enroll in seems way better about it so fingers crossed!
(Also weird kid friend groups are elite idc what anyone says)

there wa sa point in school where people called me "malfunction" for a whole semester and outcast me.
I know the "being in the 'weirdo group'" it hurts.

I've always been treated differently, then I got diagnosed with autism and everything made so much sense
I honestly wouldn't change it, I like having my perspective and being creative, I just don't like the way people treat me sometimes for being seen as "weird"

Being a weird kid doesn't mean someone is autistic. I mean, there is a lot of overlap. I was a weird kid and I ended up getting a diagnosis in adulthood.
Not that I'm saying you aren't autistic. I always encourage people to learn about autism and I understand that access to diagnosis is a privilege.
Given how stigmatized autism is, I just don't know if it's the best idea to make vague generalizations about it.

I think it's cause I changed the video title so many times, it was supposed to be mostly about neurodivergence 😭My apologies.

      @@sentientbeinggg Aw please don't apologize.
I realize you were sharing your experience, and that's super valid! :)
I just thought I'd leave a comment in case someone not particularly knowledgeable about autism came across your video.
