    If, and I do mean IF, I could get the T7 up that I would never be able to do it without a couple of coffee breaks on the way. Man what a workout. Great vid Rod, definitely a bucket lister 👌

      One day I might attempt it on my T7 but it would be a hard slog, it is relentless. 👍

      You could do it Josh. Mark and I went up there on the 1190 and AT. Tires were missing some rubber by the top, but worth it.

    Great effort, love the full length feature. You are right it is getting much harder. Managed to make it up it 4 years ago but last week it beat the hell out of me and the bike and that was just going down. You make it look easy. Impressed

    Legendary track. We rode up on a rainy day 7 years ago. I cracked a front rim on my XR650r but made it up. It was an epic ride. 🙂👌

    Wow! That was an amazing insight Rodney. Your riding skills are very impressive. That track seems to be in horrible condition, but your mighty DRZ does a fantastic job (rider too). If I ever get a chance to do that track, I'll definitely decline! 👍😁

      Ahh you funny bugger, made me laugh out loud. You could always ride into the top section have a quick look and turn around. Your DRZ would love it. Beautiful spot but scary.👍

    Well Done! I aborted my attempt last month. I stopped at the 10:18 mark. After watching what was after I'm glad I did. I might try again next year after I re gear the bike and get better skills ;-)

    Have to comment on this one ,,, man what kinda crack were you smoking that is one of the toughest rides on the planet ... friggin brilliant bro just powered through ...I am wondering what gearing you were using and what enhancing rocket fuel did you feed that DRZ ,, man eppic ride !!! good on ya... inspiring stuff .. Love the high country best place in OZ thanks for posting legend .....

      You are too kind, my sprocket set up is quite tall, 15 tooth on the front and 44 on the back. Dozer just loves hill climbs. Thanks for commenting. The high country is an awesome place to ride. 👍

    It’s been good fun. It’s condition varies a lot. Five or so years ago it was pretty insane basically all the way, both sides of the helipad. They gave it some dozing after that and it was a freeway. It’s held up pretty well until now, especially given how popular it is and open all year round. It’s falling apart in a few places on the top 1/3 now, found I was getting tired at the top but have to just keep attacking the next rock ledges and keep the momentum up. A lot of railing around the edges.
    Certainly a lot more ‘interesting’ when it rains, covered in four wheel drives, or both! Great fun.
    Thanks Rodney.

      Thanks Brendan, I did wonder how often they graded the track. It is getting knocked around a lot towards the top. I’ve ridden up it in the wet and was surprised with how much grip I was getting.

    • @brendenvosper7772
      @brendenvosper7772 2 года назад

      @@MileMunchinAdventures I’d suggest it’s about a bit over half way through it’s dozing cycle. Another three or four years it will be diabolical again.
      (FYI, I was the bloke who caught up with you on your December tour at Eaglevale, your crew were just finishing crossing the suspension bridge).

      Gidday Brenden, thanks for the dozer information, I'm looking forward to riding it when it gets really bad. We didn't need the suspension bridge on this tour the river was low enough to ride across. Cheers Rod

    What a great insight into this iconic track. Great job. Planning a trip for October there with my 4x4 mates with me on the XT600. Does look daunting on first look but as you said, momentum is key. I reckon that it will be my ability and not the little tractor's capability that would be the limiting factor here.

    Great video, love the high country! I have been up the Billy Bluff Goat track twice on a loaded trail bike which I have found great, people seem to think it's a hard track to get up I would more referee it as being challenging and a breeze to compare to other tracks in the high country like Basalt track for example which was a bloody hard track much harder to get up then this one!

  • @k_plax

    Nice riding! Thinking about momentum being key, cant tell in the vid but do you jump over the whoops or throttle off enough to stay in contact with the ground? Speed vs traction…

    • @MileMunchinAdventures
      @MileMunchinAdventures  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching, the roll or jump over the wash out mounds depends on the steepness of the hill on the other side most of the time you try and keep the wheel on the ground as much as possible to get traction down quickly.

  • @JustTex
    @JustTex 2 года назад

    You could've made that look a bit hard.. to stop me thinking it might be possible haha. Do you have to go back down that? cause that would be worse i think. Cheers 4 sharing sir.

    • @MileMunchinAdventures
      @MileMunchinAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Ha, ha it was bloody hard in a few spots I had my moments when I thought I was going to stall but Dozer kept on going. We did ride back down, but in my opinion riding down is not as hard, it's dangerous but not as hard.
