    A huge change for me was cutting out caffeine completely...after a month of no caffeine I started to feel very relaxed but with more energy than when I was on caffeine. And my sleep is now incredible. Mindfulness also helped boost my activity. Books like "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels and the Tao Te Ching were nice.

    • @theotherway1639
      @theotherway1639 10 месяцев назад +8

      @@TheOverThinker95 When I got down to one small cup of coffee, I then went down to half a cup, then a third cup, and was actually drinking a tablespoon of coffee at the end, and after the tablespoon...decaf coffee for about a week...by that time my brain and body were already adjusting to low to no caffeine. If you do that method, be religious about measuring it out, because if you get down to a tablespoon of coffee but then say "two tablespoons will be ok" it won't really work, never go back up in measurement. I had to do this because I'm very caffeine sensitive. This allows the brain and body to adjust without the intense headaches.

    These are really good.
    I see a counselor for depression. She talks about my low dopamine levels.
    One thing that concerns me is you used to find balance on television. There were the Hawaiia 5os and Mission Impossible but they balanced out with F Troop, Carol Burnett. Westerns like The Big Valley my favorite show..) were more relaxed. They even dealt with Earthquakes in an easier manner. I actually was in a major earthquake that made the news. It is done in a way where you walk away refreshed rather than wanting to go out and kill yourself.
    Today it’s all about violence or reality tv. Some of these are good. My problem is the lack of balance.
    I don’t even own a television. I watch Hallmark channel on my little Echo show. I have insomnia. I have had quite the stressful and needing to upset my sleep schedule week. Sure enough there came a night when I was wide awake and couldn’t get back to sleep. I always have the echo show right by me at night. I stayed in bed and watched the Hallmark channel. That put me back to sleep.
    Most modern day humor is not humor at all although there are exceptions. Jay Leno was really funny and did political humor well.

    WORKING OUT GOOD FOR MOODS

  • @Oceanwaves-d8l
    @Oceanwaves-d8l 5 месяцев назад +6

    When it comes to dopamine, it's not necessarily that people are struggling to produce enough of it in the modern day, it's actually that we produce _too much_ of it constantly then the brain blocks some of its receptors to cope. So, when we later do things that used to give the correct amount of dopamine the brain doesn't have enough active receptors because it's been forced to block them during long periods of extremely stimulating activity. But fortunately, this is reversible (should note however, ADHD is not --- having a low number of total receptors is different from having the correct number but some temporarily blocked).
    Say you're constantly on social media, so your brain produces around 50 A.U of dopamine for 16 hours straight. Also say the normal amount is around 20 A.U. To return to the normal amount, your brain blocks some receptors, so now it only takes in 40% of the dopamine it receives. Then, you decide one day to start painting, giving an average of 20 A.U. dopamine. To be able to absorb all of that efficiently, the brain would need to use all of its receptors --- but some of them are blocked thanks to social media usage. This results in you taking in 4 A.U of that dopamine --- less than the 20 A.U baseline --- because you don't have enough unblocked receptors. This causes painting to feel unfulfilling especially if done without music or social media at the same time. That's why people continue to rely on high-dopamine tasks.
    It takes a _long_ time of consistently doing low-dopamine tasks to solve the problem. It can even take months.
    I'm not using exact figures, hence "A.U". I'm just explaining the concept to illustrate the general idea.

      I’ve Been Sober From Weed For About Going On 4 Weeks, Temptation Knocks Onto My Mind To Where I Talk To Jesus Christ My Lord And Savior And I Tell Him Lord You Know I Want To Smoke But Then I Tell Myself I’m Not Going To Do It.! Weed Gives Me Temporary False Happiness And Though It Makes Me Speak My Mind Since I’m Always 95% Throughout My Days In My Head Weed Makes Me Speak, It Also Gives Me The Feeling Of Being Strong Character And Not Sugarcoating Things But It Also Makes Me Feel Very Emotional What Phycologist Like To Call Me Bipolar Cause I Could Be Crying Talking Without Throwing A Tantrum Or Causing A Dramatic Attitude And In Less Then A Minute Stay Completely Calm And Quiet In My Mind And Just Start Laughing, I’ll Either Forget What I Was Crying About Or Be Laughing At How Non Important Whatever I Was Crying Over Was Really About.!
      When I Don’t Smoke Weed,
      I Say Maybe 40 Words A Day Rest Of The Day I’m In My Head And Or Listening To Music With My Headphones On.!
      I Like Smoking Weed But It’s Temporary False Happiness, It’s Like Myself Vs Myself I Don’t Blame Lucifer For My Desires To Satisfy My Flesh Temporarily But I Know GODS Word Says To Have A Sober Mind And To Be Found Blameless At His Second Coming, And Being Caught In An Action Of Sinful Doing When He’s Coming Down From Heaven And Knowing It Would Be So Disrespectful To Pass Him The Joint As I Would With Someone Who Might Be Smoking With Me Makes Me Realize If I Can’t Share What I Am Doing With Jesus Christ I Shouldn’t Be Doing It Then.!
