But did you know that JetBlue now flies to London as well? Our family recently tried this new route, flying roundtrip from JFK to London on JetBlue Mint's new Airbus A321LR. Love the cinematography, organization and narration of your videos. Great product.
I love JetBlue. This is a solid product. I am flying economy and had to change my dates . It was so freaking easy , web site was to the point and I was done in 5 min including my reimbursement as when I changed the dates the final price was lower than the original. This is in contrast to the 4 hrs hold to get an agent through the phone after 3 tries on another airline last year. I would gladly pay a little more to get this customer service .
I landed in heathrow a few weeks ago for a holiday in England and totally agreeing with you about the family line my family thanked me so much because they didnt have to wait a long time.
Wow!! You guys are so lucky! I wish I could do this with my kids. I try though! Just took my kiddo to SLC yesterday for a quick one day trip. He loves airplanes, so I try to get him in the air as much as possible. He finally got to fly on the 757, one of his favorite planes.

Terminal 5 needs to update its food options. Compared to other airports… we have nothing
Ugh yeah. We usually eat at one of those restaurants in the middle of the terminal but honestly they both suck lol. It’s just the next best thing to a lounge. And I’m not trying to stand in that 2-hour line for Starbucks. 😩
Vancouver airport also does the family line it is such a life saver when seeing my gram parents in the total chaos of Vancouver airport. anyone who's been there before will know :)

There is a lounge at JetBlue T5. It belongs to Aerlingus who flights to Ireland.
When you take JetBlue to London does that include ground transportation in London? That can be pretty expensive to pay for separately.
I plan to visit London in the next year or 2. Is it me or does this herring bone seating appear a bit claustrophobic but I like the privacy too. Like the sliding door, 17” tv, charging station and storage areas. Is it spacious enough for a plus size person? Omg. Guess I’ll never know this comfort. You just said $2000 each way. But I always get the extra legroom seats 💺 so there I shall be. Thanks for sharing this and see you next video.
Very nice review. But, buuuuttttttt, I flew JetBlue domesticly about 7 years ago and hated the seats and service and never flew them again. This looks really nice and it does look like they put a little work into upgrading their planes and seats but sorry still wont fly them. Glad you had a wonderfull experience though.

Yes! Because Global Entry helps save time when you’re re-entering the US, not when you’re departing the US. (We have it too, of course). You get free TSA Pre-Check with Global Entry. Which Terminal 5 does have. But even that line can get long sometimes. Which is why we love the combination of CLEAR plus TSA Pre-Check! With that combo we’ve always cleared security in 5-8 minutes tops.

To answer the question. Unless you've got plenty of money to splash around then it's stupid to fly that way. The savings would give hubby and I enough to splurge on a five star hotel for ten nights and the privacy, room and luxury that affords beats this any day. It's also ten times more romantic.

Not a chance. Booking return London to New York Feb - April £2,582.92 economy basic when AA and BA is around £460 for the same. I could fly to Australia on Singapore airlines premium economy, round trip (on par with US domestic first class)

The reason there's no Jetblue lounge is because Mint focuses on the Onboard Experience. Having said that, B6 will be expanding their Mint products and more offerings and destinations, including lounges are slated for the future.
This biggest drawback of JetBlue to London is the very limited schedule and no lounges. I'll stick with AA/BA.
Do you pay for these flights or are they received in exchange for this video post on your channel?
We paid cash for these flights. Same with the previous time we flew Mint from LAX. When we are hosted or are partnering with a destination/resort/airline that’s always disclosed clearly at the start of the video.
@@TopFlightFamily thanks for the clarification. It would be helpful to state the price for the flight when you pay for them. And, what is the reason for paying cash? Does it require going in person to the office to purchase the ticket? Is there a discount when you purchase this way? Or are there cancellation or refund restrictions ?
Oh no I meant we paid with money not points or miles. I didn’t roll up with a bag of hundred dollar bills 😂

I really enjoyed your video and the info was great. Is it worth it you ask? If one can afford it heck yeah. I looked up the price for my family of five to travel from JFK to London via mint JetBlue and it’s almost 20 thousand dollars so sadly it’s not in our budget lol 🤯😂🤯

Oh I should have explained that lol. I actually wanted to experience that regular suite since we’d already done the studio, so eventually I could maybe do a versus video. So I didn’t mind him taking it! Also I knew I was just gonna sleep that whole flight anyway so it would have been wasted on me lol

That's usually only pre-departure so that they don't have to snatch the glass back if you're not finished.
I prefer private jet. Once you get used to that lifestyle, you can never return to commercial.

🤔 Not sure where you’re getting that, but we paid cash for these flights. We are often hosted by hotels and destinations but when we are, that’s always disclosed at the start of the video. When there’s no disclosures it means we paid our own way.
Omg jet blue has no lounges… I can’t live anymore the world must come to an end… 😒
If you know anything about business or first class flights, you’ll know that lounge access is a standard part of the experience you’re paying for. So yes, JetBlue not having lounges is significant because it makes them less competitive even though the fares are similar to United, Delta and American on this transatlantic route.
