He directly saved hundreds of thousands of lives in South East Asia by providing anti malaria netting to half of a continent, he dropped the infant mortality rates throughout the entire developing world by funding vaccine programs including vaccinating 40,000,000 children for polio, and, amongst a plethora of philanthropic endeavors, he funded free educational platforms like Khan Academy so people can have free access to high quality education.
Then after donating half of his wealth to charity and pledging 90% of the remainder to charity in his will, arguably doing more to better life on earth for humanity than any other human being to ever live,
he hops on the internet only to find a million trolls that are using the very computers he pretty much invented in the first place to attack him.

I barely buy anything. I never know what to get. Well fruits and veggies even then it’s sprayed with poison.

I grow my food and have a farm. Government is not the problem, we have constant problems from different corporations blowing their seeds on our farmlands. Infrastructure issues with water and septic systems. Etc. I wish the government had more power to get us out of these civil litigations

Agreed. I think something has been off with the store hamburger for awhile. I noticed a couple years ago that it doesn’t taste right. It doesn’t matter which store or how expensive the item it doesn’t taste right. I started buying from a local butcher and I could tell a huge difference. It tastes like it should. I don’t know how to explain it well.

I’m a medical and molecular scientist. Growing cells in the lab is how we try understand diseases. To simplify we have a tissue type or cell line and you feed it with a specific type of media; changing media every couple of days. I specifically grow cells from endometriosis tissue to try and understand the disease mechanisms. I’m also a vegan, I became one after my endometriosis diagnosis years ago. I wouldn’t even dare try this, and you are very spot to be critical of this. Unfortunately when money is involved, I’m always sceptical too, with good reason

I'm Italian. Italian laws are strict about what gets put out on the market.
Our supermarkets don't have half of the stuff you find in the UK and USA.
A lot of foodstuff products are banned here. Including many many soft drinks due to the sweetbers, etc that are in them.

My Grandpa lived to 100... drank coffee every morning, salads daily...eggs & bacon... portion and mowed his lawn until he was 97! His Grandpa was 99.... not a vitamin taken, he'd say, ill get my vitamins from my foods & plenty of sunshine!

In 3 weeks my skin was perfect, and my energy was through the roof. It takes a ton of will power and it's not as convenient as junk food though

My grampa lived to 107 years old back in our country, he lived off the land all natural, fresh fish and veggies was a daily meal, he passed away with most of his teeth.
my friends grandpa lived and died in Afghanistan of all places - lived to be 108 years old.

I grew up on a small truck farm, our strawberries being the biggest. My Dad is 71 and he was working farm and his job at wood pulp plant until he was 67. He still busts his tail on farm, I have told him I wish I could work and do like him. He and I know that's not possible due to being born with Cystic Fibrosis. I am in awe of those who still get up and go who are much older. I love my fresh fruits and veggies, I hope to be able to move where I can have my own cattle, chickens and such. This is so crazy.

My father-in-law lived to be 97. He ate food from his own garden and meat, and he drank a glass of wine or a beer a day. He ate three meals a day without snacking. I don’t think he ate much out of a package, lots of veggies, fruit, and meat and dairy.

I'm sorry but most people do not have the land or all the other means to provide all their own food! I shop at farmers markets but in MI they are only open a few months of the year. I couldn't grow much in the few warm months on the balcony of my condo! I don't buy any meat substitutes now so I will certainly not be eating lab grown meat! The only substitutes I like are soy and almond milk but I never liked cow's milk to begin with. It's fine in ice cream and other things but not to drink or just on cereal for me.

I became a vegetarian 14 years ago and eat mostly organic and plant based products and have never looked back. It has been great for my health and waistline. Different diets and food lifestyles work differently for everyone. But that lab grown meat looked absolutely disgusting! Even if I did eat meat, I wouldn't eat that!

No. My husband and I were just discussing it, and we absolutely are not willing to eat lab meat. I'll go plant based, I'll grow my own food, I'll move to Europe first. That's not food, and I'm scared of a system that says it is. Soylent Green, anyone?
My granddad was a generation farmer. He has been gone for a few years but I would love to hear his thoughts. If only. He was the who’s who of farming in 3 of alabamas top crops for decades. He was responsible for bringing liquid fertilizer to the state.

Girl, I think you hit the nail on the head! Going back to how our ancestors ate….. IS THE BEST WAY! Grocery stores use to have very little options. Now we have an ENTIRE ISLE of bread and an ENTIRE ISLE for cereal options. It’s crazy. Let’s just go back to simpler times. Stop the processed foods. Grow your own if you can. ❤❤❤

Soon it won’t be possible. Monsanto runs out local farmers. Then they great gmo foods that don’t produce seeds. Heirloom seeds soon will be next you won’t be able to get them. Eventually they will have total food control and you will be forced to eat what they sell.

It is gross. Don't try it. The lady I sit for, her kids give her that crap and she Don't like it. She grew up on a farm and knows what real food is. Those of us that feed her give her real food when they aren't around and she eats every bit of it. She's 95 abd will beb96 in June. Her only problem now is dementia.

Here in oregon the state is shutting down small farmers who aren't commercial but rather raising cows and other livestock for their own consumption and self sufficiency. They have recently changed the definition of what constitutes a commercial building for farming telling the farmers they have to spend several hundred thousand dollars to keep running knowing full well they can't afford the upgrades. Their other choice is to get rid of their livestock or face fines and jail time. Farmers are pissed and fighting it. I was raised on a farm and the food we got from the cows and chickens made it possible to survive and be healthy.

Corn, onions, potatoes, carrots, lettuce, beans, wheat, apple trees, peach trees, plum trees, etc. I think it is very important to start doing this now because before we know it, the prices and supplies of our basic foods are going to be unattainable.
