Yeah no way those fine conservatives and there never ending quest to fill those already fat wallets fatter faster could ever resort to supporting things like this. They're all great Americans. Take Chump for example. Makes his ties in China. Sells BS tickets to Chump University. Stiffs those who have worked for him. Finds ways to inflate holdings to scam. And even dodges a draft that a lot of really good men paid the ultimate price because they didn't have a wealthy relative. Pay no mind that something like 70 percent or more of all financial gains have been funneled to the 1 percent. And those fine Conservatives STILL give tax credits to them. Even though they did quite well when the corporate tax rates were far more than they are now. And lest we forget the last few years how they costs of everything I can think of has sky rocketed and still rise and rise. (even though the claims they made that caused it have subsided) and record corporate profits are reported year after year. And even worse is the fact that the middle class and the American Dream itself vanishes for the masses more and more every year. And hey, don't get me wrong. There is not one politician I can say I like. I fine them all to be an unsavory lot who lie and lie to support an agenda that's been around for quite awhile if you look for it. Nothing but a gang of self serving self enriching bunghwholes who support that agenda that, let's face it, is not in our best interest.@@buzz5969

      The foodmakers get ripped off in turn by plumbers or at the car repair shop. And the plumbers probably get ripped off too by electricians or in the computer repair shop. It's not a nice world we live in: it becomes even more sad if you see what these fraudsters afterward do with all the money they grabbed along the way. Some just throw it away in strip joints or in Las Vegas, other pay ridiculous high prices for a Ferrari (and even more money to keep it running) or for an ugly painting of sunflowers. Or 400 pairs of shoes like Imelda Marcos. Or a yacht, preferably one that is two inches bigger than that of Elon Musk, otherwise they feel like a loser. It's all so ridiculous and childish, but well, that's (wo)mankind;

They know where to find you/us and target the marketing to us and spark the fire - if its the truth or not! I worked in the meat industry in a full throughput [slaughtered, butchered & packaged] meat plant in Wales for 4 1/2yrs. It dealt solely with lamb.
Traceability is a joke. If insufficient lamb from a particular source was available to fulfil an
orders, fraudulent paperwork was created, & ear tags substituted to match the paperwork. For example, if insufficient Scottish or Welsh lamb was available, English or Southern Irish lamb would be substituted.
It was common for bogof [buy one get one free] & similar offers to be over produced. These offers are usually available for a single week, & the order sizes are frequently larger than the plant can produce on a daily basis. The solution is to begin producing the offer products during the previous week, using extended sell by dates - 10 or 11 days instead of 8. At the end of the week, any offer packages remaining, are repackaged with an 8 day shelf life.
Vacuum packed meat is packaged & sold all year round, as fresh. Sometimes, out of date vacuum packed meat is used & packaged as fresh.
Meat which has been dropped on the floor is always picked up, brushed off & packaged for sale.
Meat has to be kept below a certain temperature during all production processes. Frequently, this is ignored, & meat which is even 4 or 5 degrees above the maximum allowed, is packaged for sale - & the paperwork completed using fraudulent figures.
'Packaged in a protective atmosphere' is a laugh. An emergency exit door was required to be fitted in the packaging department. The company owner would not pay the higher cost of the work being carried out outside production hours, so it was done during production. A hole was made using an angle grinder, & producing clouds of fine dust during production.
There are many more examples of meat abuse during production, but it would take too long to list them all.

All of them. From genetic modification to pesticides. In China they straight paint things like peppers to make them brighter in color and look fresher. In the United States I'm sure you've heard about the plastic wax they spray all over things like apples and cucumbers, again to make them brighter and last longer on the shelf. It's arguably harder to tell if your veggies and fruit are real than something like meat. Since the veggies and fruit have things done to them longggg before they ever reach you, weird meat you notice right off the bat. I think there's something to be said about eating "fresh" veggies and "fresh" fruit year round. Fruit trees and stuff clearly don't produce fruit in the winter. You don't pick tomatoes in the winter. And if you've ever had fresh veggies or fruit you know they are done for within a week once they get in your house. You really think those bananas were picked yesterday in Argentina or something then flown all the way to your State, sent to a distribution center, and then sent to your local Walmart and then stocked in the produce section? Then they somehow do that for every Walmart in the USA plus every Kroger, Sam's club, Costco, Aldi's, King Soopers, Target, ECT..
Definitely buy fresh and local from people you know haha and even still I mean you aren't there to watch their farm everyday and they are trying to make a profit just like every other farmer.

One thing for sure, as more of us turn away from God, our once Christian based nations that were more heavily populated with morals from our faith, are walking away from faith, Jesus and the Bible. It will always lead us to debauchery, depravity, immorality, greed and deception.
Now I'm not saying that 25-50-100 years ago we did not have corruption including in food production. As long as some people are caught up in human vagaries we will have issues like in this video.
But when we were still solid majority in faith, we better self governed. We feared God's judgment on us. But as we are deceived more away from God, we easily fall victim to human failings and immorality.
Look around you in life and ask,are we more lost, immoral, wicked, selfish, greedy, ungodly today than our society was 20-30-40-50+ years ago?

I'm Canadian, and the horsemeat segment is sad but true. Thousands of Canadians buy a horse every year, not as work animals but as pets. When the costs of keeping a horse begin to sink in the novelty wears off, so the horse is sold 'to a good home'. In fact, the buyers are brokers, and most end up in Europe and Japan to be slaughtered for food. Now, I have no problem with this. I have no issue with eating horse meat. I'm sure it's delicious. But ignorant Canadians with their horse-owning fantasies are unwittingly fueling and funding this fraud against consumers. I doubt anything will ever change.

When I lived in Lisbon - Portugal. Curiously close by, there was a horse meat butcher. One of the so very few in the entire city. Really an extremely rare thing. They could only sell horse meat and chicken. No other types of meat were allowed, precisely to avoid any confusions or "mixing".
Anyway the catch is that I ended up trying it. Lo & behold that turned out to be my first choice in most cases. Not only there's a obvious price advantage. But is for all effects as good as any mainstream meats. In fact better. ;-)
The meat is quite good and tasty. Way better than lamb, goat, chicken, duck, ostrich, whale, rain deer or moose... And yes, ostrich were mostly produced in Portugal. And for context the last ones is because I'm currently living in Norway. Where the last three are relatively accessible. I should say I'm not a fan of those. 😞
All said, I would put horse meat at the same level as beef or pork! With slightly different features, but equally tasty, with good consistence, color and texture.
And I've also tried some more "exotic" varieties. Like monkey, croc, frog legs or snails. None of them worth the mention. Except for snails, as Portuguese do have a long and tasty tradition with snails, excellent! To the point that Portugal still import some of their snails from Morocco. While we export almost 90% of our production of black pig. So the Spanish can make their famous "Pata Negra" ham. Crazy markets! ;-)
The only meats I deliberately never touched. Were Monitor lizard and African rats! They call it "fruit rats", but sorry it's really a rat! Both in Africa. That I confess was a bit over my head. LOL 🙂
So the horse thing, I see it as a obvious business scam. Half price! But surely not a OMG thing. 🙂
