      I paid $163 and I got to fly a Cessna type plane for probably 45 mins or so.

    The G8 GT and G8 GXP were very well built cars. Magnetic ride, the steering feels amazing, it has pretty good brakes from factory already but you can easily put CTSV Brembos on it, and the transmission is pretty beefy already.

    Too bad you didn’t take it down some winding back roads to enjoy it’s best attribute, it goes around corners quite well or having the ability to late brake because it has good brakes. For me, and I own a V2, it’s handling, braking, then acceleration followed by interior comfort. As decent as the V2 is the V3 is a magnitude better. Can’t wait to see what the CT5V-Blackwing is capable of doing on a road course and on the street. This market sector has some really stout cars in it with quarter mile times in the 10s and VIR time fast approaching under 2:50, with the ability carry 4 adults and their stuff, plus get mid-twenties or higher on the highway. Who would have guessed that 4 door sedans with state of the art interior comfort could do all the above and be usable everyday, like a 911 Turbo-S?

    Cool video but I must say it’s kinda disappointing you bundled all of the performance cars under one umbrella from GM though many of them came along at different times.
    Other than the Trailblazer SS having a weak transmission or the first Gen having a weak differential everything else has held it’s on.
    I think you are watering down the cars and that’s a bit misleading especially considering the price point they were when new.
    Being an owner of a G8 for over 10 years it’s a balanced car. The braking ,handling ,and acceleration is fine. The suspension is different between a GT and a GXP. Sure there are more capable cars on the market now. But you couldn’t get that level of performance at that price. Maybe you’re not a GM guy or a big engined powered sedan guy but a lot of people like myself enjoy them and they are capable.

    • @asdetailshop
      @asdetailshop 3 года назад

      Agreed. My V coupe is holding its own 7 years later. It was a gradual shift towards more insane cars from GM, like you said not all at once. The first gen V to the second gen was a huge leap, solved lots of issues and shelled up. And gen 3 was even better. Sounds like he’s talking about Dodge with the hellcat platform moreso than GM. What year is your g8?

The 2012-2015s with 30k miles and under are holding mid 30s to mid 40s. The wagons alone are 45-60k+. Unless theyre bone stock base models early years with 80-100K miles you wont find much for low 20s
