@Jeff Yoder They never lost that status. They were probably the most comfortable cars ever, even better than the Rolls (The bud vases being the only thing lacking). But the perfomance and efficiency wasn't keeping up. They were forced to make smaller cars with better gas mileage, that hurt them badly.
This car represents the crescendo of the era when Cadillac pulled itself out of near extinction in the early 2000s by reinventing itself with complete focus on engineering. Unfortunately, they slowly went back to their old ways. This CTS was made on the Sigma II platform which was designed from the ground up for this car. For the second generation in 2010 GM decided to cut costs and build it on the Epsilon platform. In other words, they reskinned a Malibu. WTH Cadillac?!

I just grabbed a 08' Kia Optima in red with only 55k for only $8,500... it's fantastic and pristine, like granny only drove it to church on Sundays! It drives to the convenience store and kid to skool like anything over $100k.. Save ur dough, buy assets not liabilities!
Never driven a Cadillac, but ridden in a few over the decades. and the comfort of the seats, the smoothness of the ride, and the amenities they offer are totally worth paying 5000 bucks for five years after their off the lot price of 50 grand.
The coupe styling has held up best of the three models. It was distinctive at the time and it is still like nothing else on the road. Each of these has all the power anyone could really need on the street and the smooth power delivery makes it almost feel like the cars are loafing, until you look at the speedometer. Great car!
Always felt like these CTS-V coupes were a nod to the older Cadillacs from back in the days. Funny enough, I see quite a lot of resemblence to the old Cadillac Fastback in a way. I also love it how they brought back tailight fins in the most modern way there is. The coupe look is not for everyone, but if you look through the details you can truly appreciate it for what it is.

Great review. Thanks for taking the time Jay.
Now on the other side of 60, this is one old man who would love to have a CTS-V coupe!
Always love your mentality Jay, you speak for the people.
The 2 door coupe that you have is my favorite by far. The look of that vehicle is truly one of a kind. You must have low miles cause I had a CTS with 140k, and I hit the gas one day and it simply blew up. Flashing check engine and she was gone.
Loved these for years. Great looks, great engine, the Recaro package...mmm....
Great looking cars, loved the CTS since it came out.
I have a 2013 CTS Coupe, V6, AWD. Bought it for the looks, the engine has plenty of power, and the AWD let's me drive it all winter. Love, love, love it. I wish they still made them. I can't find any new car under $85k that I'd replace it with.
I just grabbed a 08' Kia Optima in red with only 55k for only $8,500... it's fantastic and pristine, like granny only drove it to church on Sundays! It drives to the convenience store and kid to skool like anything over $100k.. Save ur dough, buy assets not liabilities!
One of the best body styles ever, it's timeless.....
Great car!
Hay Jay isn't it about time for a Restoration Blog? It has been awhile!
YOU ROCK JAY
2:34. You're welcome 😁
Always felt like these CTS-V coupes were a nod to the older Cadillacs from back in the days. Funny enough, I see quite a lot of resemblence to the old Cadillac Fastback in a way. I also love it how they brought back tailight fins in the most modern way there is. The coupe look is not for everyone, but if you look through the details you can truly appreciate it for what it is.
these are the best reviews, no seo and just jay free speech
This generation of Cadillac represents “Art & Science” at its best. Modern Cadillacs are very beautiful.
My favorite car I’ve ever owned and I own a 2022 C8 Corvette my 2011 Cadillac CTSV is still my favorite
I always loved that model of Caddy! Very Nice!
Ok Leno, you owe us a burnout. With the old tires and 556hp, I don't know how you could resist.
The engineers at cadillac are amazing I have a Ats-v and it performs amazing stays planted to the road used my PDR the other day put down a 4.0 sprint to 60
"Long term test" lol Jay ,never found it that attractive when it first came out although i knew it was potent but now i think it looks fantastic! cheers!
My dream car, hopefully buying a sedan when all this snow melt s
Cadillac is beginning to have a renaissance ever since they introduced the blackwing and super cruise. Now Escalade V, Cadillac is back!
So old school haha “superchargers are way better then turbochargers. All the power all the time” Lolol. Love you Jay!
My 2002 Ford van has the same door chime..so I got that going for me..which is nice!
As always another sweet ride 😎
This is way up there for me on the car wishlist. Greetings from Europe.
Keep it coming jay
Speaking as an Englishman I think they look so cool, if I could afford to have one over here I would.
This would be the car that Jay's wife would let him drive her to the store in. I like it, it's sporty looking, and probably very comfortable. Cool.
Looks cool. Good choice Jay. You should add a wagon though. They are amazing.
Always loved the CTS-V!
jay what are you doing with the onstar 2g problem, i have a 2012 cts too
I'm Australian, but have lived in Mindanao Philippines since 2017. I spent three months back in Australia in late 2019. Aussie cops always drove big Aussie V8 Fords and Holdens in the past, but I noticed all the highway patrol cars were supercharged four door Cadillac CTS! I guess because there was no longer any Australian car production, the cops had made the right choice for new pursuit vehicles!
Thank You,Sir.
I got one. I love it. Underglow Lights up under I call it the spaceship
I bet these are starting to appreciate. Future collectible indeed!
I wonder which car Jay owns that has the most mileage. Love Cadillacs. Great car.
His 1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 has 300k, but Jay didn't put those miles on it. Jay prob put the most miles on his daily drivers from before his collection grew large: the Countach or the Buick Road Master.
Probably one from 1908 would have the most miles...
Perfect allrounder🏁
I have the little brother, the ATS-V, and I plan on keeping it forever to enjoy as long as I can
👆Congratulations you have been selected amongst our shortlisted winners INBOX ME ❤️

Wow NO RECALLS I do not believe it . Former caddy mechanic . I liked the 2 door models as well .
