    I need to lose 90 pounds to get to my correct weight. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, and am on a statin for cholesterol. I am currently utilizing every recommendation that you have given, including the nightly fasting. I'll post as I lose this weight to let others know that it is working. I am convinced that it is doable because the bean intake is taking care of hunger very well. When I need a hot meal, it is spinach, mushrooms, peppers, onions with olive oil and cayenne, and fat free fake crab meat made from pollack. It is delicious. Most of the time it is a cup of three bean salad with black olives, sliced up grape tomatoes, a little tomato paste and balsamic vinegar with cayenne and garlic. Another delicious mix.. and it can be made up ahead of time to last days. For a snack I have a boiled egg without fat. The changes you recommend are easily sustainable. I have a few cups of sugar free black coffee with a chunk of sugar free 100% cacao melted into the pot each day, and it is again, a step up in deliciousness. I drink cold water often. This way of eating and drinking is gourmet quality; full of flavor. I highly recommend it to people like myself, who are recovering from the results of deep depression, which can cause, over many years, massive weight gain. Blessings and may this posting help others who are in the same condition, try this out.

      Would you consider listening to carnivore dieters and doctors who are telling people to eat fat to get healthy and that since statin drugs came to be heart attacks rise in number year after year that the drugs were being given out. People who eat a lot of fat get healthier in every area of their body ! Worth for you to consider . There are many RUclipsrs and doctors talking on this but a good channel to start with is Steak and Butter girl, through her you will get a good list of doctors to hear out! My husband went on statins twice and his memory started to go within days and this is their side affect which seems to lead to Alzheimer’s according to some doctors. Your brain needs cholesterol according to doctors. Eat Fat is what they say we need to be healthy. I just am starting carnival diet but I also mix it with keto so I can eat vegetables but watching full carnivores eat us amazing and they are healthy now - mind you keto is healthy too . Please consider looking into it reading about your diet scares me .

    😊 Hey Doc, I drop ⅛ tsp baking soda n a medium pot of beans about 20 minutes b4 they're done & that takes away my dad's gas . But does it also take away the poison that hurts the liver ? FYI - the 1st time I got the idea 💡 I put the baking soda in the pot in the beginning but it turned the water purple & caused the beans to soften too fast which meant there was no good flavored bean juice - yuk. 2nd FYI - I also use garlic onion + cumin in the beans - double yum 😋

    Eating 3 medium carrots a day “lowered the “risk” of developing metabolic syndrome by 58%”…. Per study in The Netherlands of 384 men between ages 40-80.
    Metabolic diseases don’t happen overnight. I think using these stats from a small study- without reference to the actual study- is murky at best. It might very well be true (I hope it is!) but there’s no way that a small study- over a typical study period of time- would be able to make that statement.
    Is there a place where we can find the studies you have mentioned-to see how long a time period was studied?

    How do you know if it wasn't the high PUFAs in the "control" group (eating soybean oil) that was hurting that group, rather than the extra virgin olive oil being beneficial? (in the study mentioned)

    Boa noite Dr. Por favor me ajude.
    Tenho uma pele sensível ja fui em varios dermatologistas do meu pais mais sem sucesso so passam cremes para amenizar.
    Sinto como a pele esta inflamada e por nada saeem machas avermelhadas.
    Isso me deixa terrivelmente triste. Por favor espero que um dia vc leia meu comentário e possa me ajudar.
    Os médicos aqui falam em falta de colágeno e eu tenho 60 anos creio q pode ser isso.
    Mais tambem creio q existe algo para q me sinta melhor.
    Desde ja agradeço.

    I thought that beans were full of carbs? In the body, do carbs not turn into sugar, which in turn, spikes insulin???

    • @greendruidess
      @greendruidess Месяц назад +2

      well, i think there's a thing called the glycemic index. some are longer term carbs (high glycemic index i think) so you can burn them over time b4 they get stored, plus you get fiber. yay! ...did i get that right? refined sugars are the gi problem aren't they? all veges have high gi carbs, including beans right?

      Take it from a long-time diabetic... leave the beans alone. Meat heals 🥩

    • @michaelfairbairn4283
      @michaelfairbairn4283 Месяц назад +10

      @@greendruidess Actually, it's the REVERSE: "Longer term carbs", meaning complex carbs that take longer to digest, have a lower glycemic index than simple carbs like sugar because they don't impact your blood sugar as much. And vegetables like leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, etc have a very low glycemic index. You can find lists of the GI of various veggies online.

    • @ivybee8105
      @ivybee8105 Месяц назад

      Of course not! But.. depends on quality of beans or any food you eat. If you don’t buy organic produce than your beans, or anything else (veg, fruit, grains..) could be full of toxins from farmers using herbicides.. that’s what causes health problems. Excessive stress is another big factor in leaking gut
