@chazlon5061 well I want to hear it and many people want to.....if its ok for you to waste your time to listen to your favourite music that contributes nothing to your wellbeing and health in particular then it should be equally beneficial to listen to people that are talking about their personal experiences for the greater good of all.

Before you panic, have you been eating beetroot? If so you may have a reddish tinge in the poop or toilet water. That will disappear after a day or so if it is from beetroot.

Organic Kiefer ■ grains I ordered on Etsy a year or so ago, I add milk about day 3 for the rich fermented texture I enjoy. This is then ready for smoothies, adding to granola for yogart to refrigerate for days, strain through cheesecloth for cheese which separates the whey to be added to smoothies and have a thick cheese spread; add some kiefer to organic heavy whipping cream that I make butter; Samson Historical site, I use their pottery jar with wood beater to make my butter; this process separates the buttermilk which I jar and use in smoothies as well while the butter rest on the counter for the week. Another thing to consider as a cause of diarrhea: fecal impaction. My specialty was gerontological nursing, and I sometimes found that healthcare professionals did not think to check for impaction and administered anti-diarrheals, compounding the problem.
Dehydration and skin tenting: this has been determined to not be reliable in assessing the elderly for dehydration.

A couple of months back I started having bad diarrhea. After 4 days I went to urgent care and was tested for most of the common bacteria and viruses, like e coli, etc. That all came back negative. The doctor told me to drink a lot fluids and especially electrolyte drinks. And to eat the BRAT diet. There didn't seem to be any end in sight and I went to a gastroenterologist who had me take a stomach X-ray and it turned out I was impacted, as you mentioned above. They said even though I had diarrhea I was really constipated. As the days went on it started getting better. All in all the diarrhea lasted 3 weeks. I barely left my house unless totally necessary. Finally I was back to normal and I became badly constipated. I went again to the gastroenterologist and they told me to take miralax and dulcolax and to eat a lot of fiber and to drink a lot of fluids. So I had to switch from the diarrhea diet to a constipation diet, which was much more varied. I am back to normal but I occasionally get constipated. When I do I take miralax or milk of magnesia. When I get constipated I no longer ignore it because I know it can lead to impaction and possibly diarrhea. I don't want to go through that again.

    Summary
Dr. William Li discusses five warning signs of unhealthy poop, emphasizing the importance of recognizing these signs for early intervention and prevention.
    Highlights
🚨 Bright red blood in stool can indicate colon cancer or hemorrhoids.
📝 Changes in stool caliber, such as pencil-thin shapes, may signal obstruction.
⚫ Black tarry stools suggest possible upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
💧 Hard, dry stools often result from dehydration and require increased fluid intake.
🚽 Diarrhea can indicate malabsorption or inflammation in the gut.
👃 Unusually foul-smelling stools may point to bacterial overgrowth.
    Key Insights
🩸 Blood in Stool: Bright red blood can be alarming; it’s crucial to consult a doctor as it may indicate serious issues like colon cancer or hemorrhoids, both of which require medical evaluation and potential intervention.
📏 Stool Caliber: A change in the shape of stool to pencil-thin can indicate an obstruction in the colon, warranting further investigation through diagnostic procedures like a colonoscopy.
🖤 Black Stools: The presence of black, tarry stools is a sign of potential bleeding in the upper GI tract, such as from stomach ulcers, and necessitates immediate medical attention.
💦 Dehydration and Hard Stools: Hard, dry stools are often a sign of dehydration; ensuring adequate hydration is essential for maintaining healthy bowel movements and preventing constipation.
💩 Diarrhea Causes: Diarrhea can stem from various causes, including infections or inflammation, and maintaining hydration is critical to avoid complications like severe dehydration.
👃 Smelly Stools: Foul-smelling stools may indicate malabsorption or dysbiosis in the gut microbiome, suggesting a need to adjust dietary habits and consider probiotics for gut health.
    Foods:
    ● Green tea: Mentioned as a beverage that has been shown to lower the risk of colon cancer due to its high content of EGCG, a polyphenol that inhibits angiogenesis.
    ● Purple potatoes: Discussed as a food that contains anthocyanins, a natural dye that has been shown to kill colon cancer cells and stem cells.
    ● Walnuts: Mentioned as a food that has been shown to kill colon cancer stem cells.
    ● Ultra-processed foods: Discussed as foods that can disturb the gut microbiome and lead to malabsorption and other health issues.
    ● Fresh whole foods: Recommended as a healthier alternative to ultra-processed foods, including fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds.
    ● Leafy greens: Mentioned as a source of dietary fiber and polyphenols that can help feed the gut microbiome.
    ● Avocado: Discussed as a food that is high in dietary fiber and can help feed the gut microbiome.
    ● Mushrooms: Mentioned as a food that is high in dietary fiber and bioactives, particularly in the stem, which can help repair the gut microbiome.
    ● Broccoli: Discussed as a food that is high in dietary fiber and polyphenols.
    ● Kale: Mentioned as a food that is high in dietary fiber and polyphenols.
    ● Cauliflower: Discussed as a food that is high in dietary fiber.
    ● Cabbage: Mentioned as a food that is high in dietary fiber.
    ● Beans: Discussed as a source of dietary fiber, including white beans, kidney beans, black beans, and red beans.
    ● Tree nuts: Mentioned as a source of dietary fiber, including walnuts, pecans, pistachios, almonds, pine nuts, and macadamias.
    ● Yogurt: Recommended as a probiotic food that can help rebuild the gut microbiome.
    ● Kombucha: Mentioned as a probiotic food that can help rebuild the gut microbiome.
    ● Kimchi: Discussed as a probiotic food that can help rebuild the gut microbiome.
    ● Sauerkraut: Mentioned as a probiotic food that can help rebuild the gut microbiome.
    ● Strawberries: Discussed as a colorful food that is high in polyphenols.
    ● Blueberries: Mentioned as a colorful food that is high in polyphenols.
    ● Guava: Discussed as a colorful food that is high in polyphenols.
    ● Watermelon: Mentioned as a colorful food that is high in polyphenols.
    ● Red bell peppers: Discussed as a colorful food that is high in polyphenols.
    Medications:
    ● Pepto Bismol: Mentioned as a medication that can help slow down diarrhea by increasing water absorption and reducing inflammation.
    ● Imodium: Mentioned as a medication that can help slow down diarrhea.
    Advice and tips:
    ● If you have taken antibiotics for a stomach ulcer, consider getting your gut microbiome checked to ensure it's okay after treatment.
    ● To rebuild your gut microbiome, eat foods with prebiotics like yogurt, avocado, and colorful vegetables.
    ● Incorporate probiotic foods like kombucha, kimchi, and sauerkraut into your diet.
    ● If you have diarrhea, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.
    ● Use over-the-counter treatments like Pepto-Bismol and Imodium to slow down diarrhea and make yourself more comfortable.
    ● Monitor yourself for dehydration, as it can be very critical for health.
    ● Check your microbiome if you're having diarrhea to see if there are bad bacteria present that need to be eliminated.
    ● Eat more diverse types of foods to improve the diversity of your microbiome if you have low diversity.
    ● Consider taking antibiotics or probiotics to rebalance your gut if you have harmful bacteria present.
    ● Cut down or cut out ultra-processed foods that can disturb your microbiome if you have really smelly poop.
    ● If you have any doubt about the health of your body based on the warning signs discussed, contact your doctor for a proper workup.
    ● Consider getting a colonoscopy if you experience warning signs like blood in your stool or changes in stool caliber.
    ● Drink green tea, which contains a polyphenol called EGCG that can help lower your risk of colon cancer.
    ● Eat foods with high dietary fiber, such as leafy greens and colorful foods, to help prevent colon cancer.
    ● If you have hemorrhoids, consider using over-the-counter treatments or seeing your doctor for a procedure to sclerose the veins.
