Otis 2000VF lifts at Capital Centre, Cardiff

Filmed in 2023. (older clips filmed in 2014) Apologies for the inactivity over the past couple of weeks, I'll be uploading this video and another today to make up for it. After having lunch at the falafel cafe located at the entrance of the Capital centre, we went to the main Otis 2000VF lifts. I was informed by ZZ9 about the Otis Series 1 in the car park, which sadly got modernised. Another one bites the dust. :( The main Otises were running decently, not as well as previously. The voice wasn't working in both lifts at the time of recording. Sadly the Capital centre has gone massively downhill, as almost all the shops have all closed, including H&M which had the nice original Ecodisc. It felt so strange walking through it and not seeing many people, which reminded me a bit of walking through the Deiniol centre in Bangor.

Very Nice Lifts. The Capital Centre probably doesn't have many shops in it because the bigger St Davids isn't far from this Centre.

Yeah, the St David's centre is of course Cardiff's main shopping centre, and it does seem to be a case of smaller shopping centres getting less trade, and I've seen that not only with the Capital, but also another example being the Galleries in Bristol. Those cases could also be due to the lack of trade during the pandemic. :(
