Hello everyone! Enjoy today’s video! I’m on a staycation so won’t be around for the chat but sending best wishes to you all xx
Yeah! My chiropractor saw improvement in my shoulders after just 8 straight days of this video. She said keep it up.
I hope this helps me
That looks so easy 🙈 but do need that. I put it on my list. Thank you so much Rachel❤
Thanks Rachel this was more challenging than it looks. Found the extra camera angle very useful. Have a great break.
You’re welcome Sue. Glad the extra camera angle helped on this one too. Having a lovely break, thank you 😊
I found reaching my arms up above my head, whilst still touching the wall a real challenge, one I hadn't done before .....Thank you x
Wowzers Racheal - the only thing touching the wall was my bottom!😲 Having constant back pain for over 30 years I have been hunched over to protect my back and to try to ease the pain. Of course this has done my posture no good what so ever!😩 I found this exercise very difficult but as I went through it I could certainly see the sense in it and will try to do it daily. When I get everything on the wall I will let you know with a big ' Halleluja'! 😁
I have always had round shoulders and bad posture Rachel and started doing this 3 weeks ago. I dont enjoy it I’ll be honest , but the difference is quite amazing. It has released a lot of stiffness in my neck and I feel so much more flexible . I try to do 3 times a week and was sceptical that at 67 it would improve as much as it has ! I do find your calm voice telling me to breathe gets me through . Thankyou so much
Started doing this video 4 days ago. It's soo difficult that I hope to continue doing it daily. So far so good 😊
How is your posture doing now?
@@mattd3826 she won't answer because she stopped after a week of doing....it's really hard and good at same time
I really wanted to do this more often but I found my back and arms cramping while trying to hold the positions. Today I tried something different. I laid on my back on the floor mat and bent my knees so my feet were flat on the floor hip width apart. I followed the video and was able to do all the exercises lying down. When I finished and sat up my posture felt so much better!!
Wonderful! well done 👏
Wow! I would have never guessed this would be so challenging! It's great! Thank you, Rachel!
You're so welcome! 😊
This is unreal! So hard but so good. Very necessary these days. Thanks Rachel
You're so welcome!
Good stuff for posture, tension in neck, back and shoulders, quick and easy, all we need is a wall! Thanks so much!🙏🏼👍🏻💪🏼🧡
Wow sooo much more difficult than it looks…it’s going to take a daily practice to master‼️Hoping this will also help my neck problem. Thank you Rachel, this is such a beneficial exercise❣️
Agree I am shock to see how stiff I am.
Wow I did n't realise how stiff my shoulders and upper arms are. Thanks Rachel.
Awkward feeling but easier than first time I did it - you’ve helped me be more aware of my posture, and added core strength since following you 3 years ago helps tremendously! 🙏🏼 😊❤
Thank you so much. A friend introduced me to your pilates for seniors and I have not missed a day since. I am telling everyone.
Thanks for continuing to make videos that are so helpful as our bodies are aging. So beneficial for all ages.
You're very welcome Heather, have a lovely day, Rachel 😊
I found this hard at first. It remains challenging but today was my sixth time and it has got easier and I feel better for it. Thank you for this video.
Oh my goodness, this was wonderful and definitely needed. We just don’t realize how rounded our shoulders are most of the time 💕
Absolutely Janet, so glad you found this workout helpful. I’m working on it too 😊
Wow! More difficult than I expected! I guess I do need to do this one daily. Thanks Rachel!
My third day of doing this First day very hard, second day much easier, third day really hard again! Clearly I really need to do this, so thank you for this clearly demonstrated video.
Wow. This was so difficult for me and much needed. I feel like I need a video to work up to this one! Thank you!
Thank you so much Rachel. I had asked you for this exercise as I need it. Definitely more difficult than it looks but will practise it daily. Heres hoping I can master it and improve my posture.
Wonderful series of exercises to correct the forward head posture! I realize that I need it, since I felt hard to do some of the movements against the wall! I will follow your advice of doing it daily, thank you Rachel :)
Very challenging! But I have been wanting to these kind of exercises for a long long time. And intent to do them daily. Thank you so much
Yes keep going every day, and we still a live! Tank you for your kindest Rachel!
Really enjoyed this although found some of it tough. Will definitely build into daily routine. Hope you are enjoying your staycation. 🙏🙏
oh my goodness ! tough, didnt think I had a problem but I obviously do ! will try to get his done daily to see if it get easier !!! Thanks Rachel
Wow. You make it look so easy!!!!!
Very helpful thank you
Thank you! It was so difficult and thought-provoking! I will do it again and again!
I've doing this daily after work. I love this on. Thanks
Need for sure! Thank you.
I've enjoyed many of your videos but took a break because of upper back and neck pain. So happy to have found this one, I think it will help me get back into the flow. Thank you, I find your way of teaching so illuminating and admire the range you offer
This is very helpful for my persistantly tight neck. I felt better immediately, thank you. I will try to do this regularly but certainly when needed! :)
This is the best forward head posture video. Thank you so much!
11:20 I just completed this workout after a day or so of intense writing. I found it was easy to get my neck and shoulders against the wall but the rib cage going into the back was a different ball game. I have been doing your other short Pilates workouts so maybe they have helped! Will definitely be doing this more as I am often hunched over my devices and dropping the head. This does the opposite - makes me stand tall! Great to do any time of day 🦋
Thank you Rachel, wow I think we all need to do this, thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome! Thanks Millicent 😊
Thanks for that Video. Very helpful ❤
Thank you!!!
I love this workout, it feels so good on my neck and shoulders! Thank you so much
So glad!
Excellent !,
Feel freer in my back already! Thanks Rachel
Wonderful Kathy! 😊🤗
Hi Rachel. I love working out with you. Found this and it's something I really need. I wonder if my middle back should be getting sore when I try this, during the exercise. Thanks for all you do for us❤
Wow I need this
I feel so much better just after one session!
I need that, great 10 min exercise
Five days and I can almost touch back of hand to wall on our last move. So pleased!
Have chronic pain in my mid-back, either side of the spine. I can tell an improvement after just one session! Thank you so much, Rachel!
I am so pleased to hear that! Well done Cathy 🤗
Awesome
My posture needs improving. Found this video challenging. Will keep trying.
Dear Rachel. I have been doing several,of your exercises for some time and my 63 year old body feels great. This session was SUCH A CHALLENGE! Should I keep the middle back also pressed into the wall? I am finding that as I attempt to move the arms, my hips want to swivel forward hollowing the middle back away from the wall. If I try to keep my lower and middle back glued to the wall, my arms aren’t able to go very far……Thanks for all you do!
Really hard ! But very good 👏👏👏
Oh my!
I'm not going lie, doing these 10 minutes it was a challenge for me 😕, but at the same time I knew it that I needed to do it, because I have forward head posture and bad posture. Rachel I know that you are Pilates instructor, but one question for you?
Can from forward head posture and bad posture to feel dull pain behind the ear at the base of the skull?
Can be inflammation on the nerve?
Thank you in advance for the answer and definitely will do this workout every day.
Thank you 💕🙂
Thanks!
Thanks to you too Dora! ❤️
Definitely I need Work!
thanks
Great workout but oh such a challenge. Just my 2nd time so will try to keep it up.
You can do it!
About 8 days and my shoulder with piece of hip added to repair clavicle suddenly starts to be mobile. I will keep at it!
day 1: done
Aloha Rachael!!! Love, love, your channel and ALL your exercises! Am older 77, but still able to do most! Thank you
That is rather hard, but I can see where it is something I should do daily. Thank you
Perfect for my husband. Good call Rachel. Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌵🌵🌵🙋🏼♀️🏄🏼♀️
Thanks Myrna! If your husband does it daily it will really help. 🇬🇧🤗💐
👍
So difficult. Obviously a must do daily.
Daily needed...my goodness . Didnt know how bad.
Surprisingly tough -means I should do it more
Indeed Dean, glad felt the benefit of it, albeit tough. Definitely one to add to your weekly regime 👍😊
Can I ask what do you recommend for someone with a very tense body?
Thank you. Going to try and get my husband to join in.
I am doing second day of exercise (feeling proud of myself already 😅), muscles around back of shoulders are sore, hoping this is a good sign...? I will try for next few weeks without missing a day !
Are you still doing it? I have very rounded shoulders but want to try this every day for June.
Great video! Much needed for western civilization...Lol
Killed me!! But thanks anyway, t'was great
should the lower back stay glued up against the wall throughout the practice?
This was hard. The muscles near my spine are so sore that they're afraid to let go and slouch. I couldn't get pass shoulder level but even that was hard. I'll keep doing this until I'm able to get my arms straight overhead.
Well done for doing it and please don’t worry. Be kind to yourself, keep going and try not to force anything. Your body will let go when it feels safe to do so. Wishing you all the best ❤️🤗
Sadly, I don't have an empty wall large enough to do this. My home is basically an art gallery. Also, when I did try this against a closet door, my neck hurt. My head against the wall felt too uncomfortable.
I hope there is a video with just simple instruction
I can't get my head any closer than 6 - 8 inches from the wall
While doing these exercises is the lower back against the wall the whole time?
