  • In this video, we explore foam rolling and its benefits for pain management in sports and general wellness. We also share a different perspective on fascia decompression, which targets deeper layers of fascia to address issues at the bone level.
By using a tool similar in density to bone, Block Therapy melts through layers of fascia, allowing us to get to the root of the issue. We discuss proper posture, breathing, and body alignment for optimal flow and cellular health.
Watch the video to learn more about fascia decompression and how it can help you rebalance your body for better health and well-being. Click the link below to access our 9-day sampler program and share your thoughts in the comments!

Block Therapy is great stuff. Foam rollers and therapy balls do good work too. Deanna even had the founder of the Melt Method on with her and Quinn for a discussion on Fascia. I do appreciate Deanna's explanation of all things Fascia! The fact that Block Therapy has a 9 day video introduction, where use a rolled up towel in place of the block is a smart business move and gradual introduction to fascia decompression! A great healing modality that the world needs now.

I like this short-format - it allows me to absorb the info much better than the much longer more rambling sessions where so many different things are discussed that its difficult to grasp any of it.
Thanks for the explantation BTW, it makes a lot of sense.

    Such a great explanation!
It's nice that there is something that people can do that doesn't require much energy because when your fascia is frozen and restricted regular things can be exhausting. Makes sense why when as you mentioned it can grip to bone with the force of 2000 lb per square inch. Also explains why it can be so painful and difficult to correct but your method is a very passive and gentle which is great.
The only key part I would add is when people find a painful restriction/adhesion to ensure they apply pressure for around 3 minutes as that's how long it will take to to relax and start to loosen up.
I was doing this for years before I found your channel but since learning the importance of breathwork on your channel I can honestly say it makes a huge difference in helping the whole process in so many ways.
Working in Real Estate I meet so many people and I keep recommending your channel when I notice someone is in pain and suffering. Most people think there is no way to correct their problems, let alone from the comfort of their home and with very little equipment or money needed so thanks for all your doing!
You have a wonderful way of communicating key information that is easy to relate to and understand.

If you do use a foam roller to supplement your block work, keep this in mind. There are different rollers with different densities. To make a foam roller really dig into the fascia you have to use a high density roller. Also, even though it says "roller" don't roll. Park the roller on a known tight area for at least 5 minutes. You will not get the same efficiency of a block among other reasons because the contact area by a roller will be far less than that covered by a block. But if your adhesion is small and in a difficult spot to access with the block the roller will help a lot. I have one spot in my thoracic spinal area just adjacent to the rim of the left scapula that it so difficult to access with the block but the foam roller fits right in made to order. Also the 6" high density foam roller makes a super cranial cradle. Just remember to park it for at least 5 minutes.

Hi there! It's possible that the fascia is stuck within the belly fat, or to the abdominal muscle layers causing the dimpling on the surface.

I dont roll but hold positions on the roll. Not sure if ok.

Rolling is good for circulation and surface fascia too but to get to the deeper tissues you have to hold pressure on the same spot for at least a few minutes.

Hi there. It won't hurt, but since the block is part of nature your body accepts it much easier. The wooden block is also similar in density to bone.
