    First, before I even begin to try your technique, I want to compliment you on a superb, professional video. Your camera crew is excellent, capturing different angles which provides variety to the presentation, not boredom. Second...Deeana...you speak articulately, and coherently, with poise and dignity, unlike so many other RUclips "experts" who present themselves poorly. I appreciate your intelligent demeanor, and look forward to trying your method.

    I found this video last night. I did the exercises but not for the full three minutes. This morning I woke up and after my coffee and shower I went ahead and did each pose for three minutes. I already have relief from my chronic SI joint back pain!. I can’t wait to see how using this technique will assist my body in healing.

    I have miraculously come across your channel and I am very thankful. I have had a very painful back for a month now - even flexing my feet would shoot a pain right up into my lower back. I have just done this exercise and that pain has gone! I have flexed my feet to see what happens and ... nothing! But what has also amazed me is now much lighter and free my body feels, particularly my entire upper body. Also, whilst doing this exercise, I could feel something in my buttocks and hamstrings. I shall be doing this again when I get home from work tonight. Thank you very much!

      So many long held poses can be very painful when starting out. Make sure you have the prop in the right place..you will find it but it takes some tweaking. If you think you have it right or close try taking deep slow breaths in and out to help you not focus on the pain and it should lessen. You have to be a little tough on yourself to stick it out but never if it’s excruciating or unbearable. There could be something else going on in that area that may need professional help to check to be safe. It will get easier and feel very rewarding when you learn to relax and slowly let things release. I am very strong but could not sit still or ignore an itch or long waits. An instructor mentioned this to me and said I need to learn to stay still, let go, don’t show off my strengths and take this class on long held poses.. wow game changing for my mind and my body… best of luck to you ❤

    Excellent! Have never understood that before, but now I understand that some of my issues with a bit of pain in my lower right back and my sciatica actually is caused by issues around the IS joint, wow! Never thought of that. So now I will add this movement into my daily practice togheter with the practice for sciatica.

    Thank u for these videos! They r terrific! I have a question about doing these exercises if I already have damaged my spine to where I have no discs in my lower spine up to L5 and have slippage and cannot arch or lean back or even lay flat with my legs out. The slippage blocks it causing extreme pain and sciatica. Is it still beneficial in such a case to do these exercises?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  Год назад +6

      This is a great question. Block Therapy is a simple practice that can be modified where needed to still provide benefit. If you are not able to lie on your front, leaning in to a bed or couch can also do the trick, as long as you are able to apply sufficient pressure with the tool. It is absolutely beneficial to do, and may even help assist your body's ability to cope with stress!

    Do you have any options for someone with diffused systemic scleroderma?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! Block Therapy is a very effective way of addressing the fascia system. For diffused systemic scleroderma, you would need a whole body routine in order to melt through the layers of fascia, to the bone. This will bring healing oxygenated blood flow to all regions of the body. Our Sampler program is a good place to start if you want to try it out first. Click here:

    What should you do if you have a belly overhang?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  Год назад +2

      A belly overhang is caused by a lack of flow in the core, caused by a weak diaphragm and a collapsed foundation. Here is an excerpt from one of Deanna’s blogs explaining this:
      “If the fascia in your lower legs and feet are out of alignment -- and it is for everyone - they will torque the legs and twist the pelvis causing compression and ballooning from the base of the body. This compression will affect the positioning of the organs as well and will take away the space for the diaphragm to function optimally. It all works together, so we need to take a full body approach when dealing with our size and shape.”

    Yeah. If you have fascet joint deterioration, go easy with this as it puts your back into extension. This can also make a bulging disc worse. Get an MRI and find out exactly what the problem is, just to be safe. Fascia can cause problems for sure. No denying it. But you can't treat a symptom without a proper diagnosis. Just saying.

      We use our breath as our guide. If anything is too painful that causes us to hold our breath we back off the intensity or get out of the position entirely. You are in full control. If anything seems off then going to see your doctor is advised.

    Can you use a regular yoga block?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  Год назад +5

      Hi Sandra, thank you for reaching out! We use the Block Buddy and Block Baby because bamboo shares a similar density to bone. This enables us to melt and release fascial restrictions all the way to the bone - where majority of the causes to our issues are located. Foam, plastic or other synthetic materials are not organic. Using these materials, especially with their methodology, will only target the surface layers of the tissue .Every Block is raw and organic. Bamboo is a piece of nature. I hope this helps!

    When you are all the way down flat, what is it you are doing with your legs? Is that part of this therapy?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi there! If you are just starting out it is ok to simply lay on top of the block with your legs outstretched behind you. As you get more experienced you will want to start searching for more pain. This is what Quinn is doing. By placing his toes on the ground he is better able to press his pubic bone into the block. When he lifts his knees off the ground he is getting even more pressure into that area. You would want to respect your limits and do what you can comfortably breathe through.
      Hope this helps!

      Hi, yes this practice is safe to do, though it may take a few modifications if it is difficult to hold certain positions. You can use pillows and bolsters to make things more comfortable. Remember that with this practice, your breath is your guide, and if it is too intense, listen to your body! It will certainly help to release stress off of the spine over time.
