Bro i wish I knew all the things you know about engines. I don't know much about engines and removal of engine parts. I really want to swap my little 4.3 to the 5.3 or 5.8 in the future. Love your vids bro ur such an inspiration to improve my 07 WT Classic . COOPA!!!!!
Haha thanks bro, I appreciate it! I don't know everything, always still learning. The best tools ever are that engine builder book I showed in the video, and Google. I'm constantly google-ing stuff to learn more. A V8 swap is definitely possible. Alot of people have done it. Just need to find a donor truck in the junk yard, for the engine, tranny, wiring harness, ecu, and bcm. You will also need alot of time and space haha. Glad I can help out some, my 6.0 is still at the engine shop. They said it will be a 2 month wait. Which is fine, that gives me time to C notch the rear frame, go lower, and get the bed painted. Thanks for the support! 🤘
@@tylerb2494 if your looking for a regular fleet side, there are plenty on there, might just have to drive a little farther for a clean one with the same color.
Hey, yea that would be a good idea. But im not really trying to go crazy with this one. Im trying to wrap it up, be a fun toy, and move on to the new project. Those rods are definitely an improvement though
Hey, I just used the valley cover bolts. 4 bolts worked out alright, with the autozone universal lifting plate. But I'd recommend getting the lifting plate ment for an LS, so it uses more bolts. Hey, I ended up buying it for $800 plus a $100 core charge. They pulled it out for me. It was a decent price. Still more than what I wanted to pay, but I looked for a few months at the U Pull junk yards and could only find LQ4s.
Oh man that 200 shot is gonna be killer
Haha I hope so. I need something to get that heavy truck moving!

Another great video
Thanks, I appreciate it! Hopefully not too boreing haha
Hell yeah🤘
Thanks! 🤘
The intake bolts do come out. You pull it filly out then wiggle it
Correct, they can come out, but they mainly just sit idle inside the manifold after you unbolt it.
Where you got your truck bed from
@@tylerb2494 I got it from car-part.com easiest way to find one 👌 these beds are kinda rare though. Mine was $1500
Just looking for any bed. With no dents.

You should put 4th gen rods in it

Don’t reuse the 317 heads. Put the 4.8 heads on the lq9. That would bring a stock lq9 to 400 hp
For sure! The 317s will get sold, and im gonna put the milled 243s on it. Those already have the pac .660 springs in them 🤘
What bolts did you use for that universal lifting plate?
