I appreciate that brother stay tuned I have a few videos coming on the cold air intake as well as exhaust install I’ve been away for awhile but I’m coming back hard lol
Amigo llegaste a instalar esas ?? Tengo problema con el mío no se si me puedas ayudar
Thanks for this. Going to install these today and this is the best video I've seen. You nailed it
That’s awesome man your going to love them and thanks that it means a lot stayed tuned I have some other things coming down the pipes now for the 10th gen
LETS GO MY GUY!! Dope video. Looks so much better smoked out instead of the amber look 💯
Awesome video no fancy editing just a very detailed video and no time wasted at all.
Thanks brother
@@civicmike9316 I just ordered the clear white for my grey 2019 SI.
@@Rafma89 nice bro your going to love them gives such a clean look to the car
I installed it by watching this video and this was SO helpful. Than you for putting this up!
My pleasure I’m glad it helped you that’s why I do this. How do you like them?
@@civicmike9316 They completely changed the look and feel of the car! I was hesitant to get them at first, but finding this installation video helped give me the confidence to take the dive.
@@Sawmillium that means a lot man thank you it’s stuff like this that makes me want to do more instructional install videos

Best video I have seen!
Thanks bro I appreciate that
What was the issue you had that you have switch the lil plastic clamps? Cuz I think I might be having that issue
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man
hey mike, i bought the same side markers as you, but I have a question. When you switch the headlights on, what color is the side marker supposed to show? When I turn mine on, it shows the amber light. Is it supposed to show the bright white led light when you turn the headlights on?
Yes it should be white the amber should only show when your hazards / turn signals are being used or when you first unlock or lock the vehicle they should strobe the amber check your turn signal and and if it goes white when the turn signal is used or if they don’t change at all then contact suma and or who ever you purchased from because they are faulty and should be replaced
Idk if u can help me but I install everything like u but the only problem is when I install the red large wire with the gray wire the turn signal is not working
Hey mike what are the little sockets called that you plug the wire in where the bulb use to be?
You mean the things I use to splice in ?
did any one find that it was to easy comes out, when you slightly pall it out after installing/fitting it in fully?
I have seen this before normally what I’ll do if that’s the case is over flex the clip back slightly so that it snaps in better and holds
Just got the civic but the website doesn’t have them anymore
only critique is that you showed which light you were splicing into just for a millisecond. It took me forever to find the spot where it shows the correct light plug that you splice into.
Thank you for letting me know that I’ll definitely work harder on trying to show all steps and placements longer to make it easier I’m sure your not the only one who felt that way
how is it holding up so far?
Two questions: how did you fix the rapid turn signal? Do you know which cable to tap into for the LED Touring headlights?
With the rapid turn is it happening when the the light is unplugged? Or plugged in? And what colors are your wires for the turn signal?
@@civicmike9316 I don’t know which cable is turn signal bro. The rapid signal is not happening. I just asked in case it did. I haven’t spliced into anything yet tho.
@@AngelHoxen so you should have the same exact wiring harness in the touring as I have in the exl if your not sure witch one is your turn signal just rotate the whole fixture and pull the bulb out the orange is the turn signal your going to splice into the grey wire on the driver side and it will be the brown wire on the passenger side the only time I got the rapid flashing was when I removed the bulb of the signal it happens when the connection cant be completed like blown bulb or if you cut the wire
@@civicmike9316 i twist and try to pull it out but it looks and feels like there are cables still connected/attached in front of the adapter thingy for the led lights. Idk what to do.
I don’t have the regular civic lights. I have the LED lights. Just to let you know.
Do you have any tips on how to make the markers flush to the bumper because it does protrude noticeably. I have a 20’ civic Coupe (auto) and didn’t expect a problem like this
Send me a photo so I can see how much there protruding
@@civicmike9316 where do I send you a picture
Civicmike561@gmail.com
What if i did everything right on the right side but the signal doesnt work? But when i tested it out it does work?
Check and make sure your connections aren’t loose where you splice in Because if it’s loose then you’ll only get signal sometimes when the connections made
Are these legal to have? I installed some clear ones with the white leds and ive having doubts if i might get stopped.
There completely legal you have nothing to worry about a lot of cars have side markers and switch back ones that act like turn signals
Depending on your state. In NY, side marker lights must be amber in color.
@@AGValorX so I know that’s definitely true when it comes to trailers but in personal vehicles I have been told that as long as you have amber for the turn signal it is legal and since these turn amber on the turn there legal
Hey mike what’s that blue/red connector thingy that you used called?
There called quick splices you can get them at Walmart, Amazon, or local hardware store
@@civicmike9316 thanks man, also did you have to slice the signal light open to connect it w/ the tap splice or you can just push it in like that?
You should be able to just tap In without cutting away the wire cover
@@civicmike9316 Tysm for replying and ty for taking the time and effort into making this video. I appreciate it man, much love!
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE SREWS ON THE FENDER LINER.
That’s your opinion brother some people find it easier to remove it this way then reaching down the side of the engine bay and you definitely have to do it on the passenger side because of the windshield reservoir
do you have to unplug the battery for this
I didn’t so that I could test as I went you can but it will add extra work when you want to test after you install one side
@@civicmike9316 is it safe to leave it plugged in? others are telling me to unplug it and others are saying to leave it in
I would leave it on I have done it many times and never unplugged the battery
@@civicmike9316 thanks, I already did one side with it on but kinda messed up the splicing, I'll try to do the other side today
I pulled out the one plug in the hole and the freaking turn signal keeps working which one are you pulling out please help us on this video
When you say you pulled the plug do you mean the connector to the headlight? If so you need to make sure it’s the connector to the turn signal in the headlight.
You can test by stripping some of the wire away and inserting it in the front of the plug where the gray wire runs and when you put the car in accessory mode the DRL should come on in then when you turn the turn signal on it should change over once it does that you know you have the right connector
@@civicmike9316 I figured out what the problem was I have the touring so it has LED. It's a different plug all together from where your hand was going. It's actually the one right in the front it is the big plug and the side with three wires on it and the blue one right in the middle. Sorry for getting so frustrated I was watching all the videos and no one was showing this had to find it on Google
@@civicmike9316 and by the way yours was one of the best installs because I actually did what you said and was testing it throughout so thank you so much for a great tutorial
@@civicmike9316 I just subscribed thank you for answering
@@user-mo8gw9om1z That’s awesome I’m glad to hear you where able to get it installed Thank you for the kind words and subscribing
