If you were going to just wire both lights to work with the turn signal, you coulda spliced the long red wire, right into the positive wire of the amber light. Personally I’d want my white led on along with my daytime accent light. But you can wire that red wire into any one of your lights and will come on when ever that particular light comes on. Great video though, easy to follow and I’ll be using it to install mine this week. 👍

Low chance of you replying, but I need help, I got the exact same kind of your side markers, but they are for whatever reason not sequential when I spliced them into the blinker and also they do not glow white when the blinkers are not on, I am confused as heck, I spliced the side marker wire(red) into the white blinker(grey connector) and didnt touch the black one, and it doesnt work, no sequence no white lights, idk what could be wrong.
have u tried giving power and ground to the side markers to see if maybe they are bad what i mean is take them off get the red wire and put it on the postive + side on the terminal red with red and take the black wire and put it on the - side of the battery see if it turn them on it it goes next thing u do it take the red and cable and take it off and on see if it makes the turn the seguuenve on
I recently ordered these gempro side markers. I have yet to install them but look physically different then from ones on this video. Instead of looking smoked out and slightly transparent they have a piano black finish. The ones I received are smooth all across, the ones on this video have what I could best describe as a “bump” on the casing. Also the led connectors are not joint together. Why so many differences?
Not to complain as well but I bought the same ones as well because I likes the way the “bump” looked on them. Unfortunately I got the death black finish with a flat surface on then just like Franco’s.

I don’t have the long wire, just the wire for the side marker. Is it needed if I just want to side markers only or....? Also I have to red connectors but again no extension cord like yours and these zip ties that came with them. What are they for?. Also how do I get the longer cord from?
When I did mine I had to manually open up the wires when connecting them to the red clip thing. I don’t think the metal blade was sharp enough to get my wires to connect.

If it stays yellow on regular and white when blinking (changing lanes) it could be that the first connection that replaces the original lightbulb was inserted the wrong direction, so basically just flip it like plugging in a USB cable the wrong way.

For me, it stayed white because I didn't clamp hard enough on the red thing, it has to cut through the two cables so it makes a connection. And one stayed yellow because I didn't put the first connection in correctly, I put it in reverse (the one that replaces the original light bulb).
Ok I connected it back. My white led works but the turn signal doesn’t. If the red wire touches the batter than the yellow light goes on but the blinker doesn’t work

How do you change it to white ?
I installed mine and it only uses the yellow light when I use the turn signal.
that's what "switchback" is. white for running use and yellow/amber when you use turn signals. buy regular ones to keep the bulb one color

some time the splice doesnt cut the wire make sure it has been cut by the splice the rubber
