- A simple upgrade that will set your car apart from the rest, that is what this Side Marker Installation is all about! For more information on this product, check out our web-page: www.procivic.c...
In this video, we walk you through the installation of LED Side Markers from PRO Design. The process is nearly identical for the non-LED variants and only takes a few minutes and very basic hand tools.
Please keep in mind that some side markers or corner lights may not be compliant with your local laws and regulations. Please check your local rules before purchasing. If you require amber bulbs for your application, you may have to purchase them separately. Also, if you are not using your factory headlights or bumper, then please ensure that your aftermarket headlights or bumper will allow the installation of these lights.

10th Gen Honda Civics

I see so many install videos of people splicing these wires themselves…and you just opened my eyes to a whole new easy world! Quick splice?! Didn’t know that was a thing!
Just finished installing my smoked switchbacks on my ‘20 Aegean Blue Civic and Jesus they look soooooo much better than stock!!! Awesome installation video. The hardest part of the whole process was getting my big-ass hands in to remove and install the turn signal harnesses from the housing.
I also want to thank Pro Design’s customer service. When I ordered these their site indicated they were in stock. The next day one of their CSR’s called me to apologize and inform me they were sold out. I was disappointed but I wasn’t too surprised because EVERYONE was sold out. He politely asked if I wanted to cancel my order or wait. I asked when they expected to get another order and he very honestly told me it would probably be 4-5 weeks. Partly because of the excellent customer service, I decided to keep my order placed with this company and just wait it out. Less than 2 weeks later, they were on my doorstep. Great job, guys! I’ll definitely keep you in mind for future purchases.
where did you order from?
This is exactly what I was looking for. Saving this for my install tomorrow.
mine smoke side mark just came in today cant wait to installed
Just picked these up. This video made it super easy to install and cleared up some confusion I had with the printed instructions. Great video!
Glad to hear it was able to help you!
Do you think it would be possible to have the side marker solid orange but add in a relay to make it blink with the turn signal? My state requires the normal condition of the side marker to be orange.
Was a really helpful vid thanks bro
wait im lost! did he peal the cables? or just put them together?
What if I don’t want it sync with the turn signal can I just skip that last step and they would just stay as white side markers?
where I can check if the connection in Ny is legal or not?
Mine came w a red black and white wire…idk how to connect them😢
so we need a quick splice or does it come with one?
for 2019 models the sidemarker wire is a lot shorter requires some fine motor skills
To connect it to the the turn signal, did u disconnect the grey wire from the turn signal to connect it to the red thing?
For a Honda 2019 sport .
Where does the red wire will be if I want the to be with running DRL light ?
At 2:55, you say the positive lead on the harness is the gray wire. On a 16 Touring, I have three wires: Two grays and one purple in the middle. Which one is the positive lead? How can I check without trial and error?
The wiring may have been updated at some point during this generation. If you are not sure, we recommend using a test light or volt meter to check for the correct wire.
Is there a way to have the side marker always display amber but also be connected to turn signal?
i dont think you cant do it. you would have to remove 1 feature or the other. to get rid of white you would have to cut the positive wire from the bulb socket adapter from the corner light. then put in the orange long wire there. or just put it on the turn signal and you have blinking orange. but you cant have both drl and blink orange with this.
I was wondrin if your side marker has a gap on the fender liner.?
They do not. This fits exactly the same as stock.
If the flashing of my honda hatchback is led instead of a simple bulb and has 3 wires how do I know with which wire should I splice the red of the side marker ???
Figured it out yet?
No, in the end I left white light all time, even i asked at Honda and they didnt want tell me or just didnt really know it
Do I have to connect the third red wire if I want it to run white lights? & if I do need to connect it, how do I do the passenger side? I don’t really see which part of the harness I have to unplug in order to splice the wire.
im have the same question im so lost in that part did he peel the cables? or just put them together?
I just don’t understand what y’all did when you brought out the side marker light n connect it with the red
one side only stays orange for me… any reason why?
How can I tell which one is positive? I have a black and grey wire
We would recommend using a volt meter to confirm the positive wire. More often than not, the black wire is negative, but it is still best to be sure.
Just wondering what gauge are those wires on side markers?
with the turn signal wires I have a grey purple and black wire can someone explain why there are only a black and grey wire in this video.
This is not a turn signal light, it is a side marker. The turn signal is in the headlight. Also note that depending on the trim or chassis (Coupe, sedan, hatch), the color of the wires may change, but the function will be the same.
Did you ever figure out which wire it needs to be? Currently going through the process myself on my 2020 civic sport touring
Does the quick splice come with side markers? Or do you have to buy it separate?
They are included with the kit.
@@procivic Thank you.
Any problems with condensation inside the markers due to rain ?
There should not be any issues with condensation. The lights are meant to be water proof like the stock lights.
Hey so I just installed these and they light up when my headlights are on but they dont flash along with my turn signal even tho I spliced them in like you did, what could be going on?
Ensure it was connected to the correct harness. It is very easy to mix them up under there. If possible provide us an image at customercare@procivic.com so that we can review it.
I have the same problem. I spliced the amber red wire with purple one for a 2018 hatchback touring - following another video and still no go.
@@notdaface86 Have you managed to fix it? how? I have the same doubt
is the way he wired it up California legal
Will this void the warranty?
Highly doubt it bro lol
Mine don’t even light up????
Instructions not clear, i blow a fuse
