    This was a blessing to come across! I am entering my third year, and with covid online teaching my first year, I've been a mess. After this second year in the classroom, lecturing for special education definitely doesn't work. They like the "stationsish" forms I gave them gave me such results. I am so excited to prepare tasks over the summer for common skill needs for my resource room supports this third year after whole group stuff based around gen ed. I think I will have a lot of success.

    I am very glad I found your channel. I will be trying to do all these things with me daughter. I have these tools around the house and I dobthings with her and she loses interest fast and she likes to do it herself. She multi tasks alot more then just focusing on one thing and route helps alot with her. I will continue to repeat, routine and repetition with her. My biggest change is her letting me know when he needs to use the bathroom or when she's thirsty for water and also helping her on how to chew her food.

    I am really happy to have somehow stumbled on this video. you have share some strategies that will help get better results and outcome of my teaching. Eliminating unnecessary information is one strategy i will now continue to employ. Thank you so much.
    However, i have a student (early teen years) with mild form of cerebral palsy who is generally not motivated by anything. I have tried a lot of ways to get him to take part in activities but he hasn't been forthcoming. WHAT CAN I DO?

    Really great stuff! I am first year (about to finish) ICT teacher in 7th grade middle school and although this is elementary you can definitely use this system for middle schoolers, ya think? I am interested in consecutive task based system and learning more! Thanks so much it was great to listen to you!

    • @AwarenessModule
      @AwarenessModule  4 года назад

      Wow, thanks for the comment. Yes, you can use this system with any grade level as long as the tasks match their present skill sets. I always start easier then what I believe the child is capable of to see if they will engage. Often children believe they're less capable then they are so start at their belief level without judgment. If they are willing to engage then I slightly increase the difficulty of each task. The second to last task in the system should stretch them the most, then finish with something enjoyable that, if possible, is on subject. Ipads are a good way to end. The point of the system is to get them engaged the whole time. If they are displaying strong avoidance behaviour the tasks are too hard, too long, or not interesting enough. Hope that helps. I have another video coming out on this topic soon-ish. Please subscribe and check back soon.

    Good morning thanks for those great ideas and info. I have a special needs who is 7 years old but her reading nor writing skills are not at all developed. I have decided to home school her during this pandemic and needs all the extra help. I am a trained teacher who specialized in secondary education so i am researching a lot to see how best i can help her. I would like to see a copy of a timetable for special needs and any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
