Jan, how do you find the new Cbr650r compared to the old pc41 Cbr600f? I know from your channel that you have both. I currently have an 06 F4i and would like to upgrade to a quite similar motorcycle and these two options would be the succesors of the F4i. In my country a 2011-2013 Cbr600f costs about 5000-6000 euro and the new Cbr650r from 7000-8000 euro second hand. Is it worth the extra cost the new Cbr650r? Thank you
Hello rhemyis, The cbr600fa PC41 was faster than the 650. That is a fact that is certain, I suspect it is also better for driving on a circuit. But the CBR650R is younger, also has ABS, but also as a bonus traction control, slipper clutch, LED lighting, radial brakes that brake very well, the option to install a quickshifter up. The 650 is therefore much more in tune with the times, and will therefore last a lot longer. In that respect it is definitely worth the extra cost. I have to admit though. that I lose the horsepower of 6 to 7 horsepower. Perhaps partly because I also had a different exhaust on the old one and not on the 650. The fact that the 650 vibrates at the steering wheel when you rev it high, but it didn't bother me with the 600. Personally, I would find the CBR650R perfect if it had 20 hp more and didn't vibrate (and would therefore rather run high revs without the vibrations). I have never had any problems with either engine. So Honda is and remains top in terms of reliability.
I own a PC41 and sat on a CBR 650R. What caught my attention were the dimensions and the seating position. The PC41 is a larger motorcycle and has a slightly sportier seating position in comparison. I'm 170cm tall and can barely get my entire foot on the ground with the PC41. If you are smaller maybe the cbr650r would be better. But you just have to test drive both and then decide.
@@greeknike99 Yesterday I saw from video’s from eicma Milan that the cbr600rr Will be back for sale in europe. For 2024. Maybe that is the best option.
