    hello, i was hoping for a pointer in the right direction please. i have a daf lf that lay for three months, having put new batteries in, there are no light on the dash and it does not crank. would you be able to advise me at all please? thanks in advance

    Hello Mate i have 2004 DAF LF 55.220 with a Euro 3 Paccar and it jerks if speed exceed 70km/hr what could be the possible cause .

    I’m not in favour of stretch bolts,the problem here could be they have stretched and allowed compression to seep past the head gasket into the water jacket but at that sort of mileage anything can happen,I think I would have removed the injectors and tested the cylinder compression before stripping the cylinder head off to see if any of the cylinder pressures were low which would have given a good indication of where the problem was before dismantling, it could be that the head has a hair line crack in it,if not rebuilding it without finding the fault could lead to it failing again and then the Blame Game starts as to who’s fault it is when it needs further work and who’s paying for it,been caught like this before in the past.

    I have a 2006 DAF LF 55.220 with a Euro 3 Paccar. Seeing drips of oil and smoke coming from the back pressure line. Truck was sitting for about 6 months while being Shipped from the UK and eve arriving before working. Any suggestions?

      piston rings and hone the cylinders if it looks ok

    Could egr cooler not cause exhaust leaking Into coolant? Great video by the way

I’m not a truck mechanic if myself I do cars and vans, keep up the good work, I saw in your early toolbox tour video you do a bit of machining, would be great to see a video of some, do you get involved in machining engine components eg skimming heads etc?

      My milling machine is only suitable for short heads, like motorbike heads and the likes, i like to tinker when i get the chance 👍👍👍

    Have you done sniff test? Before you removed head.

    Do you not think it’s worrying that it was only for you doing a it’s 6 weekly that the problem was noticed how did the driver/drivers not think a black header tank was abit odd and report it to you on there daily checks…. And you ya cheeky pup giving out about the scanjos still 😜 what’s the mileage on aoj now and she’s still tipping away like a small dumper 😜😜😉

    434,469Km for a 2012 LF is absolutely nothing
