Thanks so much for this! When I first pulled the dampers, I noticed my cyan didn't appear to have nearly as much ink as the others. The cyan was my problem color. Your tips definitely helped me get the issue resolved.
My EcoTank input seems clogged. Will not take ink from the bottle on 3 colors. It has been 10 months since I filled so maybe dried inside of the fill port? Any suggestions? Love your videos.
Happy this video came up. I was looking for how to charge/ prime epson 2720 ink. I changed the ink from sublimation to pigment. So had to clean the cartridges and tubes

Where? point to it (using something smaller than your finger) What am I supposed to be looking at when you say that? 2:11 "Hold this damper this way and insert a syringe and start sucking" Well, you are holding most of the damper out of frame, and we can't see your fingers.... How to hold it? And we can't see the syringe with the special cut on the tip at all.... HOW are we supposed to insert it? What role does the cut play?
Hi I have been having a problem with my L3150. I have sent it to be serviced and maintenance a month ago ( one of the colours didnt print out at all and then all 3 were blank ) and was printing just fine for a while but then the yellow stopped. So I tried to fix it myself. I did all the checks I found online 1. check the tubes ( no holes or clogs, work fine) 2. check dampers ( used a syringe and pulled. no resistance and ink flowed fine) 3. flushed the ink-head ( used a syringe with a tube and ran like 5-10ml and flushed it until water was clear.) There was no resistance ( the colours all have resistance bit more than black I think ) but problem is black and cyan are now blocked. I have done multiple nozzle cleanings, power cleaning, even cleared out the head of the ink-head ( placed a non fiber tissue on print tray and ran the print head slowly across it ) still cant seem to fix the issue. Does anyone have any idea on how to solve the problem. I dont want to necessarily give it back to a repair shop cuz last time they charged like $60 bucks ( thats like 1/2 the price of the printer where I'm from ) and at that point I rather invest in a fully new printer than repair this one. Thanks!
It just pushed back on same as with the other end. just have to line it up, I used tweasers to get a good grip on the hose and pushed it over the nipple
Hello from Germany, I just found your two video´s and my Epson ET15000 also has streaks when printing (cyan and black) and I cleaned everything yesterday because I thought that both nozzles were clogged. But then it was the same as with you, I I couldn't empty the tank because the syringe only sucked air out of the cartridges. So now I know what the problem is. So today I have to look again to see where the error in the tube is. I hope I can fix it because I use Subli ink and therefore no guarantee. But otherwise I'll try Epson and change the ink. Thank you for the great job I would be happy to report on the video whether my printer is printing nicely again. Hey Kevin. I've changed my et 2710 from ink to sub. I extracted all ink. Cleaned catridges too with syringe. But I have an all lights flashing situatio . I've cleaned print heads and there are no clogs or blockages. There's new sub ink in the tank too. All lights still flash..I've checked waste pad too and perfectly fine. Just don't know how to get this too work.
Kevin, your videos are helping me with an ET-3850 that does not print yellow. The tank is full and the damper is nearly empty. I can suck ink from the tank into the damper but it is still full of air. What is the purpose of the 45 nick in the end of the syringe nozzle? How can I get all the air out of the damper? The printer worked fine until we went on a couple of 3 week trips, so I thought it was a clogged nozzle until I saw the damper was nearly dry....
Hi, thanks so much for watching my video and for taking the time to comment! I appreciate you being a regular viewer, and it’s great to hear that my videos are helping you with your ET-3850 printer. I try my best to keep up with the many questions I receive, but if you need a quicker response, you can always email me at support@bchtechnologies.com or post your question on my most recent videos (not shorts)-I tend to prioritize those. Regarding your question, you don’t need to completely remove all the air from the damper. Dampers are designed to work even when they’re only about half full. Once you start printing, the system should naturally find its balance. However, if the damper continues to fill entirely with air, it could indicate a couple of issues. The first possibility is a problem with the tank, such as a blockage or a leak. Alternatively, the damper might not be sealed properly, which could allow air to enter. The 45-degree nick on the syringe nozzle is for creating a tight seal against components like the damper or the tank’s outlet port. It ensures that suction is more effective and prevents air from sneaking in during the process. If your printer still struggles after troubleshooting, consider replacing the damper or tank. We sell both on our website, and they might help resolve the issue more permanently. Thanks again for your support! If you’re looking for even more tips, be sure to stay tuned to my channel. You don't have to. Sometimes the syringe tip pushes too deep and forms a perfect seal with what's inside. So if you cut off a little piece, you can always draw the ink, no matter how deep you push. In another way, if you found it too hard to draw, you can tilt the syringe a little.
I need to ask a stupid question. Before removing the tubes from the ink tank, do I need to empty the tanks first so the tank ink doesn't leak out? Thanks for your comment to those who have gone before.
Hi Kevin, I have an ET-2710 and I did a change of ink, I removed the existing one and put the new one in, then I tried to print and nothing happened, no ink was coming out, I notices that by sucking the ink I just put in there is a lot of resistance and no ink comes out, what should I do in this case, do you have any videos so I can follow along o give me some guidance? I can't send you my printer as I am in the other side of the world! thank you!.
Magenta nozzle seems to be so clogged up.. It's seems so hard to push the liquid through.. Everything else went smoothly.. I was oushing very slow and gently but tha magenta head print is so bad.. Any suggestions??
Yep happened to me yesterday on my neighbor’s ET-2720. 😂 I used long nosed pliers while my dad was shining a light from the left (looking from behind the printer) so I could see the socket on the circuit board. Grab the cable at an acute angle and close to the contacts to be able to push it in straight. If you grab it at a wider angle, the cable tilts to the left too much.
Hi Kevin , I have ET-4750 and the tanks are dry and empty....cannot add ink as it seems there may be an airlock not allowing the ink to go in ? Help please ?
Hi Kevin, I made a mistake and put the epson ink in my new ecotank 2850 rather than the sublimation that I intended the printer for. I removed the ink from the reservoirs but also thought I needed to from the dampers. Now I have a lot of air in them & can't get the ink to draw from the tubes to the damper. Does this require a special syringe tip? Using the blunt end is difficult to get a good seal to try drawing air out. Feeling desperate with a brand new printer! I have purchased the small green ones that screw onto the syringe but that doesn't seem to be working well.
I usually uninstall the printer (if you are PC person), then re-install the driver from computer. When I re-install, it asks me if I want to prime the printer, then it will suck the ink out of tanks until the printhead is full. Other than that, you can repeatly run head cleanings. Remember to shut off the printer for each 4 cleanings, otherwise the printer will think your printhead is damaged.
Hey! Thanks so much for subscribing and supporting the channel - it really means a lot. I’m halfway to 100k after 8 years, and every subscriber like you helps push me closer to that goal. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment! In most cases, if the ink isn’t flowing into the EcoTank, it’s usually due to third-party ink bottles. Sometimes they don’t seat properly, and the ink won’t transfer into the printer. What I usually do is pull the bottle up, rotate it 180 degrees, and push it back down. I’m not exactly sure if it’s the motion or just reseating the bottle, but this trick tends to get the ink flowing. After that, lightly tap the bottle while it’s seated. You should start to hear a slight “glug” or flowing sound, which is a good sign that the ink is transferring. If you don’t hear anything right away, give it a few more taps and try adjusting the position slightly. Thanks again for watching! I try to answer subscriber questions within 48 hours, but if you need a quicker response, feel free to email me at support@bchtechnologies.com. I get a lot of questions, and while I do my best to keep up, subscriber comments are always a priority for me.
@@susanjohnson5411 I ended up finding another video, BCH sells a special sized syringe for the 8550 that fits in the damper (where the ink tubes go in). I also got their ink + sublimation ink cleaner from the website also (green bottle). I put a paper towel folded up 3x under the print head and slowly trickled 2ml of cleaner thru each print head. The paper towel catches it and a lot comes out of the bottom so you want to change the paper towel every squirt. I fixed my printer this way
I am having same issue as this person who wrote this in your comments I have done everything! Kevin, I have an Epson ET-2720 - The ink was low so I added new ink. After that I did a reset ink levels. Now the printer is not printing colors, what I mean is, it acts as though it is printing, runs through the cycle but the pages come out blank. This is what I have done... several nozzle checks, 3 head checks, I pulled the little plastic ink heads (not sure what they are called), I ran solution through them, I have re-primed the ink heads(dampers), I even sucked some of the ink out of the ink tanks to confirm they are not clogged. The printer is running right, no issues, it just won't print any of the colors. The nozzle checks are all blank, no ink on the page. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Follow this video and you should get ink out of the printhead. I haven't seen a printer won't print after this.
Thank you for subscribing and being part of the channel! Your support is a huge help in reaching our 100k goal - I appreciate you sticking with us. The issue you're describing is pretty common with EcoTank printers, especially if you're using third-party ink bottles. The internal valve in some bottles doesn’t always align perfectly with the printer’s tank. Try removing the black ink bottle, rotate it 180 degrees, and firmly reinsert it. This often gets things flowing. If that doesn’t work, gently tap the top of the bottle while it’s seated - you should hear a slight sound when the ink starts moving. That’s a good sign that the clog is clearing. If the problem persists with OEM ink, check for dried ink around the tank valve or the bottle tip. For more troubleshooting tips, this video might help: ruclips.net/video/zGYQiOn2N3M/видео.html. Let me know how it goes - I usually answer subscriber questions within 48 hours. I'm having the same issues with my epson f170. It's just out of warranty, I let it sit a couple of months working overtimes etc. I've made sure the ink is flowing and have half emptied my full tanks by priming. yellow is printing and no other colors. I have been searching so many videos and nothing is helping. I wish Kevin would answer you and me :)
I am having the exact same problem. The only thing I don’t want to try is a power clean but I’ve done everything else I can think of from every video. I pulled the ink through and it comes out but still nothing when I print just blank pages. Ugh it’s so frustrating. Wish I could fix this!!
Hey Kevin 👋 are you able to self-clean Epson XP-4105 or WF-2850 waste ink pads? Both have user-replaceable maintenance boxes (part # C9344), but is it possible to self-clean or replace just the pads and reuse the same box without having to buy an entirely new one, the same as your ET-2750 maintenance box refresh guide? If so, which of the two printers would you recommend for quality/photo prints? Thanks!
@@lorenagarcia7788 I had to repeat the process two times, it still didn’t work perfect after the first cleaning . So I left it for a couple of days and repeated the steps in The video and it slowly started working. Left it for a couple of days and then just started printing colour pages until it finally worked properly again. Now I make sure to print something every week even a test page
Hey, thanks so much for subscribing and sharing your experience! I really appreciate your support - it helps us get closer to the 100k goal. 🚀 It sounds like you're on the right track with your cleaning process. Sometimes it takes a few rounds of head cleaning and letting the printer rest for the ink to fully flow. It’s great that you kept at it and eventually got it printing again. Consistently printing once a week is a smart move to prevent future clogs - even a simple test page can make a big difference. If you run into issues again, try following the cleaning schedule outlined in the video. And if things still aren't working after that, feel free to reach out - subscriber questions are usually answered within 48 hours. Thanks again for being part of the channel and sharing your results!

Man we have a brand new et 15000 we converted to ecosolvent and it will not print well. Half the colours wont print and the tests are all garbage. Have done likely too many cleanings in an attempt to get it going by now. Ugh. Gonna have to try this now.

One question Kevin why do you cut the syringe at 1:45 before putting it in the damper.
You don't have to. Sometimes the syringe tip pushes too deep and forms a perfect seal with what's inside. So if you cut off a little piece, you can always draw the ink, no matter how deep you push. In another way, if you found it too hard to draw, you can tilt the syringe a little.

The issue you're describing is pretty common with EcoTank printers, especially if you're using third-party ink bottles.
@@tamaradawn2112 @lorna mantilla @denna Kelly was anyone able to fix I am having same issue now
How do unclog the damper. Your hand is out of the picture.
Thanks!
Yes, just put inside some pantyhose and throw in the washer (not with white cloth though). Air-dry or sun-dry. Don't use cloth dryer.
I mean, take the sponge out and wash the sponge. Don't throw the whole thing into washer.
@@BCHTechnologies I see, so it is the same process to remove and clean the XP-4105 as the ET-2750, thanks for your great videos! 👍
I did all the steps in the videos, have good flow from the full tanks to the dampers using the syringe but it still won’t print 😢
I finally got mine to print perfectly again. We don’t print as much as we used to so now we make sure to print a page every week or 2
What did you do to fix it?

I had to repeat the process two times, it still didn’t work perfect after the first cleaning .
It sounds like you're on the right track with your cleaning process.
I’ve done this 100 times the ink keeps disappearing out of the dampener after I prime them. Could they be bad?
Did you ever figure this issue out. The same is happening to my ET16600. Kevin doesn't seem to respond to questions (only praise) in this platform, so I thought perhaps you might be able to suggest a resolution.
Bottom line, the printer is poorly designed.
I’ve done that and the ink keeps disappearing out of the dampener
This man has no idea. As you turn damper to refit it, ink pours out! Try putting them back empty then doing a Power clean.
Man we have a brand new et 15000 we converted to ecosolvent and it will not print well. Half the colours wont print and the tests are all garbage. Have done likely too many cleanings in an attempt to get it going by now. Ugh. Gonna have to try this now.
Did it work? I have the 15000 and I had tried everything and my cyan just won't print
@@tiffanyp6998 we got a new one and its doing the same thing again. Our area is very cool and i wo der if thats afdecting the ink. Brand new printer. Also new problem on this printer the printhead gets stuck on the hoses cause they jam up and stick out trapping the print head.
@@michaelgibson2163 wowza so sorry to hear. Epson wouldn't give me a new one under warranty. So I'm on my second deep clean.and of course that means ink waste tank is full 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️. I'm thinking it's just the ecosolvent ink..it dries really fast and therefore clogs. A friend's that uses hers daily had the same issue. Even with regular epson ink
@@tiffanyp6998 what does your friend do to resolve the drying ink issue? We are waiting on our 3rd printer now cause the printer head would jam on the hoses (totally unrelated problem) and are going to try a different brand of ink.
Hey there I can ask I will say I follow thos video to the t and was able to get to get to print pretty good. So I'm just going to make a habit of printing at least one thing a day in the morning and evenings. What ink are u using btw I'm using " E R" not sure we can say here lol but a brand from etsy
When you invert damper to reinstall, all the ink pours out....
Thanks😎
Welcome 😊
I sucked the ink out of the tanks, printed til it stopped ... added my sub ink and now it wont print ....

Right, the cleaning is what we need. Maybe he did another video on cleaning?
