+loothootyou It's impossible to not get bored at some point (maybe very fast) because as I see it there are very little amount of objectives to it. Even the exploration feels limited because ultimately you see kinda the same things anywhere you go in the galaxy but I'm hoping to be wrong.
+Desmond Sky i agree. Seems like you see the same style of artwork/creatures/scenery with just minor differences on each planet and so far I don't see much of any sort of objective besides traveling to different planets. Doesn't seem like it's going to be fun for very long.
This game frightens me. It looks extremely addicting and the replay value is virtually infinite. Goodbye girlfriend, friends, family, work, and social life.
Everyone seems to give this game an expiration date even though there are a number of features that haven't even been revealed yet. For myself, I just want to discover a 1% planet with an advanced civilization so I can plunge their society into unbridled anarchy.
+ABC 123 While the creator did mention in an interview with Gamespot that they would like to keep away from urban sprawl in their sci-fi universe, he did not say that they weren't there. This is evident in the fact that most of the released gameplay footage that featured intelligent npc were said to have their own factions, and these factions have their own "turf" so to speak.
some people would want multiplayer warfare like CoD or Battlefield. some would want medieval settings etc. as far as sci fi open world, nothing will beat this imo, unless we ever get to a point where we can make a MMO version of this with a lower scale so people actually find themselves lol
+Malakhi „Malaman“ Reynolds If U want to see Earth in a video game, go play Elite:dangerous. It's a good game but I don't like the fact that they are spliting elite and expansions and stuff.
+Kserijaro lolno. No one worth their opinion wants multiplayer. This game was made for singleplayer since launch and any multiplayer features will probably never be used.
What if the game is just an endless single player without having the chance of meeting anyone and they're just marketing it this way to give you an illusion of its vastness.
lol i will be naming a couple of planets with my social media handles. i think its cool that way; to see people who have explored that planet. i hope others do the same.
I hope that through playing No mans Sky people can come to realize the infinite size of our own real life Universe, and better appreciate our minuscule place within in this huge system. We humans tend to hold our selves on a pedestal in regards to the rest of life and reality, but in the grand scheme of things we are but tiny molecules to the Universe, and should be humble in knowing we are only a part of a much larger relative existence.
We may be even smaller than molecules is the thing that amazes me; it's like we're infinitely small, but we're not, because obviously, the universe is still expanding
Highly inaccurate. IGN now has a series of youtube videos on the game where they play and discuss it with the creator. I suggest anyone interested to watch those.

I'm a bit dissapointed that the planets are going to be just one biome, that doesn't really seem to make sense. But maybe if they had many different biomes people wouldn't be motivated to explore the other planets
+Elise Weusthuis That's one of the largest things I'm worried about. There's only so many biomes you can do: Ice, desert, jungle, savannah, etc. With 18 billion billion planets, that means you'll find about 4 billion billion gas giants and 2 billion billion of each type of biome. Think about that, you could spend your entire life flying around and you may only see 3 or 4 biomes over and over and over and over with the same stock creature parts over and over and over and over.
satsunada I don't think that'll be that big of a problem because they'll all have unique plants and animals in them and you can make variations on the same biome. Like you can have a forest, and a snowey forest, and a very crowded forest or a forest with only some trees with a lot of space in between. Forests with hugeass trees or more bamboo-like forests. Mountainous forests or swampy forests. Forests that have man-eating plants in them, etc. And then there'll also be a lot of variations with just the trees or the animals looking very different like a scary dark forest with lots of predators or a light pretty forest with bunnies.
I really can't take people serious when they say this looks boring. It's pretty much a space version between Fallout and Minecraft. With that said, I'm interested to see how this game will play out. I may get it myself :)
+Nikora Ruawai they say they have a secret when you get to the middle of the galaxy. HAHAHAHAHAHA they are all going to rush to get there but the more you go in the more difficult it will become I'm just going to stay where I am at until I upgrade everything and then journey to the middle
Im just layghing at tye comments 5 months ago saying-"this game is friking awsome i wanna play it now i want to go to the center and learn the story then play with my friends. I love this game". Then the replies from a month ago saying-"well that went well for you".
I think No mans sky is an awesome concept but I think im alone when i say that this game will be a big flop... with this recent information it looks like the game will just be a continuous grind for stuff that dont even seem allll that interesting... sure u got billions of planets but it still lacks alot of features . i think people will get bored very quickly and will stop playing within the first year of its release.
***** I'm not saying you're wrong as there is no way of knowing until the game is released but actually I remember when the game was first announced that they originally said that the game was going to be solely for exploration. And that no story as in necessary objectives would be included. Maybe they changed their minds.
+Sean Ayuso If you're not into 70's sci-fi and the enjoyment of planetary exploration, if you've never dreamed of traveling the stars and forging your own personal story while traveling through space and if you don't enjoy the aspect of a game NOT holding your hand as you learn on the fly just how the game systems work then this game IS NOT for you, and that's okay. NMS will not be for everyone, and many people completely miss what this very specific genre is all about. If you've never picked up a 70's or 80's sci-fi book and read it then you're most likely going to miss exactly what they've created.
I think I could happily spnd the rest of my life just exploring this universe. I'll trade as needed and fight when i must, but mostly i just want to explore just as i would in real life if i had the means to do so.
+Hayden larabee I think it's fantastic. People will have to be careful and thoughtful about what they do rather than just fly around attacking everything they see.
I doubt the game has these, but what if you fly into a black hole or get to close to a neutron star, pulsar or super nova. I would definitely love to see a star explode In this game.
I wish we could build cities or bases, something like that in the planets we discover in due time after the game has launched. It has a lot of potential, agreed, but I feel combat won't be that great (and I love a good fight), as the developers said it wouldn't be the main focus and I feel a little bit bad for the hype. Ubisoft taught me not to hype, and this is an indie game, so..
Finally a video that gets straight to the point without a long intro. e.g. "Hi this is a video about No man's sky but before we show you what you acutally want to we are going to bollocks on about nothing.." Yeah I know my post did that but I was making a point.
The game is (my opinion) supposed to be like your alone. Your the only human left. Your the extinct species. Thats why u go to the center of the universe. To find hope maybe, or to find comfort. Thats what i think.
+RunIded how would it ruin the experience? in my opinion, being able to spawn near a friend (just one single option to do so once - at the start) would be great. I honestly think it would only improve the experience, since you don't need to do it, but whoever wants to, can.
+RunIded I knew the game would be like this. I'm just saying an option to spawn with a friend could be good. But that's how I look at games. Can't play with a friend, won't buy it, probably. I really dislike playing alone...
I think by "Hard to find your friends" He means it would be hard to run into them. If you and a friend spent a little time using the map to pin-point a location for a meet up. I'd say you would find them pretty quickly
+TwixtheWizard yea. or atleast a way to communicate with any players you do happen to run into along the way. it'd be really cool to have an exploring buddy
Maybe THAT will be their DLC model. "Oh, here's a Star Trek communicator for $5. You can put down Long Range Beacons for $1 each, or get a bundle of 7 Beacons for $5. Friendship Teleport-to-Friend's-Ship Teleporters only $30, and it has 10 uses. CONVENIENT!" I doubt they'll actually do something that silly, but who knows...sometimes money and fame can go to peoples' heads and make them do weird stuff sometimes!
I'd love to see some kind of pets in the game. Like you can tame a creature and have it follow you, name it, feed it, whatever. It'll get lonely out there. ;)
+SpairD7 Droids. droid pets, come on, R2D2! It would be the best way to implement coop without breaking the games feeling and immersion. Allow a second player to play as your droid buddy.
***** I honestly have no idea. Perhaps the droid can be a customizable companion that can be altered in purpose. Maybe the wanderer can outfit it with a drill, or the ability to fly. A second player can play as this modified droid to fullfill specific tasks like scouting, mining, retrieving or fighting. Or you can make a subdroid for deep sea exploration, and of course he could control one of the main guns of your ship "if the ship has spares" or control the ship entirely. As it stands right now it's pretty crappy idea, but if they really wanted coop in the game, I think a droid would be the best option.
***** guilds in a quintillion planet game. Where one player would most likely not even visit a planet another player discovered. I doubt guilds will have much prominence. It's just too large. After all this isn't an mmo, it's a survival game. Guilds are not inherently in survival games
See, I love games like this. It allows the gamers own creativity to become sparked while they play, because the games so open ended, you almost have to create your own story as you play. The reason your character is doing what S/he's doing, what their motives are, who they are as a person, their attitude, etc. Looks amazing, and I look forward to playing it.
I'm always surprised when people tell me they have no interest in this game just because the plants are procedurally generated. I can't wait for it to drop.
I know most people want to explore, but I'm actually super interested in the fighting/faction/trading aspect of this game. Discovering planets is cool, but ENTIRE OTHER RACES just sounds awesome.
Doesnt matter if there's 18 billion planets. how repetetive will it be is the question? Looks like a very interesting concept, I really love the idea of a universe exploration game.
+Horthrax Yeah, though with SPORE Firaxis promised so much and didn't even come half way to deliver on them. So far Hello Games has been quite honest, not being afraid to admit that you could potentially end up dumped in the most boring and least fun place in the universe as you play.
True. Im just excited to see another game out that encourages you to make your own story and learn along the way unlike the 1000's of generic fps video games we are getting.
+YesItsRyan same, ive seen overhype of epic proportions on so many letdown games, fingers crossed that this has enough guts to accompany the huge sandbox.
Great video! Exploring and upgrading has always been my favorite part of games. Sight seeing is why I love Fallout and The Crew, so I'm uber excited to start exploring No Man's Sky!
I think there should at least be a system were you can meet up with someone, and I mean come on, you dangle these giant ass capital ships in front of me and then say I can't use them, harsh, just harsh.
+Chris Smith It would be awesome if the center of the galaxy has a portal to our solar system, and then you could come to early dinosaur earth or primates earth
+Brahim Dahbi Hey they also said that they didnt make all the planets and that they're automatically generated, who's one to say that Earth couldn't be one of those random planets?
This game is a brilliant concept, but they need to add a few fundamental features which will make it perfect. What they need: - Once planets are named/founded by a player, there should be an option to add that to a 'Database', which others can join onto. This way others can play co-operatively (or battle them), and who knows? They can become a little community if they choose to, as raiders in space or to colonize a plethora of land. - An additional point to that is by using those materials found to make all sorts of stuff in different shapes and sizes. Perhaps you need to find materials to make stuff that makes stuff, just to maintain the challenge/meritocracy balance. Regardless, these two features are way that the little communities of players can get together and build their own houses, towns, or grow their own God-damned army to help expand into space or invade other players. Build their own society. Create a friggin' empire. Forge their own culture, and write their own history. Create a class system, with jobs for other players. Trap and farm the animals on whatever planet. Exploit the planet. Make small businesses and sell materials to outsiders. DO ANYTHING. If the two features above are added, this game will be only limited by the imagination of the players. And it will be the best fucking game ever made.
I still don't understand people's obsession with the amount of planets in this game. They might as well have said 'infinite amound of procedurally generated planets', which many games have
I think it is more about that just because you watch a trailer of this game or even watch the leaked footage of this game, deep inside you know that you aren't going to be seeing what that trailer is showing. As gamers we are so use to watching a trailer of a game or watching people play and when we play the game we will go through the exact same thing as what we watched. This game in a way breaks that concept. This is 100% a game that we control the story. What I mean by that, everyone will be doing different "jobs" and they will have their own goals.
Everybody keeps saying there is SO much to do, but then all I hear is you can mine things, trade them and upgrate your ship. what else is there to do besides that and finding new planets (which is gonna get boring real fast)
I think everyone who is hating on the game is missing the point of the game . They want you to feel alone but not alone knowing there's others out there in the universe exploring and discovering just like you and could possibly run into others i think this concept is fascinating and i cant wait , stop hating and enjoy ppl
pls dont suck pls dont suck pls dont suck pls dont suck pls dont suck
K.
+loothootyou This wont suck. Unless you force it to swallow
Already pre ordered
+loothootyou It's impossible to not get bored at some point (maybe very fast) because as I see it there are very little amount of objectives to it. Even the exploration feels limited because ultimately you see kinda the same things anywhere you go in the galaxy but I'm hoping to be wrong.
+Desmond Sky i agree. Seems like you see the same style of artwork/creatures/scenery with just minor differences on each planet and so far I don't see much of any sort of objective besides traveling to different planets. Doesn't seem like it's going to be fun for very long.

+ACAY That turned dark, quick.
If this game is going to be what it is hyped up to be, then what is the use in playing another game ever again?
LOL!
True
lol I'd imagine this game won't replace cod
some people would want multiplayer warfare like CoD or Battlefield.
some would want medieval settings etc.
as far as sci fi open world, nothing will beat this imo, unless we ever get to a point where we can make a MMO version of this with a lower scale so people actually find themselves lol
+Sauce Gaming No Man's Sky is the opposite of cod
so earth is in the game but finding it is nigh impossible
yes
I guess it will be the holy grail of explorers.
+Malakhi „Malaman“ Reynolds If U want to see Earth in a video game, go play Elite:dangerous. It's a good game but I don't like the fact that they are spliting elite and expansions and stuff.
+“Malaman” Malakhi Reynolds So say we all.
One lucky ass is going to spawn on Earth I feel
I feel like only a small number of people will keep playing this game for more than a month. I'll be 1 of them
your so cool
You're*
+Sharaf Al-Aryan yeah, I'm going to be playing this game for a while, I don't care if others don't. I'm hyped for this anyway
+Sharaf Al-Aryan It doesnt matter how many people play it. It will look and play like a single player. Which will be its downfall.
+Kserijaro lolno. No one worth their opinion wants multiplayer. This game was made for singleplayer since launch and any multiplayer features will probably never be used.
i am SO hyped for this game
Me 2 :0
same
me 2
Me too I love space and crap
Me 2
What if the game is just an endless single player without having the chance of meeting anyone and they're just marketing it this way to give you an illusion of its vastness.
That would be illegal... they wont do that. Its not like basic instancing is hard
+Brendan Forish It is not illegal to false advertise sadly so yea...
JulianForLife It is illegal/ But its not false advertising because you can see other players if you come across them.
lol i will be naming a couple of planets with my social media handles. i think its cool that way; to see people who have explored that planet. i hope others do the same.
Apparently you have a 1% chance of finding other players. But once you get to the center of the universe maybe it will be easier to find more.
So it's basically a Fermi Paradox simulator
exactly
+Chakib Tsouli apt
I'm cool with it as long as it is fun
no
+Chakib Tsouli that can literally be said about any game....
Meanwhile on Earth, Kim Kardashian is the most popular person around
This is why aliens don't visit
+Diego Huerta ha!
Chaotic Tis true
+Diego Huerta well, that's old
We may be even smaller than molecules is the thing that amazes me; it's like we're infinitely small, but we're not, because obviously, the universe is still expanding

"90% of the 18,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets are dead and of the 10% that aren't, 90% of their life will be primitive and boring"
uhhhh. wut.
Highly inaccurate. IGN now has a series of youtube videos on the game where they play and discuss it with the creator. I suggest anyone interested to watch those.
10% of that 90%, and there the 90% from that 10%, brainfart
Ramon Harris The description is inaccurate. There are many gameplay videos available.
it means 90% don't have life, 9% has boring life, and 1% has interesting life
Orion Fritz And it's 100% wrong :D
If i explained this game to my parents they would never believe me they would just think im bullshitting them about the number of planets lol
Lmao true
+Arentz Menard LOL :D

Great idea
+danerang No you can't because if you sit all day long or don't do sports or anything:

2) Your muscles are going to vanish
3) Trust me you just don`t want to play one game for the rest of your life even if it's the best game ever created (We all know that ``No Man's Sky ´´ will be this game :P)

+skecth iness he says it in the video.. Did you even watch the whole video..?
skecth iness yeah I copied it directly from the video as Casual Floww mentioned. No ass talk here.
Is there any black space? Why is every part a random over saturated color?
yes confirmed in 70 questions videobecause they want the game to look like sci-fi book covers. This game in no was is a sim

The trading thing reminded me of Galaxy On Fire.
Yheaaa
lol ikr.?
I loved GOF :O
This is GOF on Steroids like a hundred fucking Steroids
+Nikko Mabatid lol
I'm a bit dissapointed that the planets are going to be just one biome, that doesn't really seem to make sense. But maybe if they had many different biomes people wouldn't be motivated to explore the other planets
yeah ik
+Elise Weusthuis That is exactly why they have one biome per planet.
Hunter Graham Makes sense but I would be cool if they at least had like poles or something
If you turn on CC and go to 0:07 , it'll say "gay marines" instead of gameranx
Lmao
+Luis Grand WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK LMFAO
+Ramon Harris I support gay gamer troops.
Fuck em! Slay bodies
+Jacob Stroud "fuck em" is still gay
Oh shit. I'm the type that has to discover everything before moving on.
Please help me god.
Same but I feel like it'll be so overwhelming I'll move onto something else to explore...... Well at least I'll never get bored of it
+Nikora Ruawai they say they have a secret when you get to the middle of the galaxy. HAHAHAHAHAHA they are all going to rush to get there but the more you go in the more difficult it will become I'm just going to stay where I am at until I upgrade everything and then journey to the middle
3 bilion planets for everybody on earth xD
Yup
There are over 18 quintillion planets in the game...
=3 bilion x 6 bilion (ppl)
+GabrielenTutorials there are over 7 billion people on earth
I'm just too lazy to calculate that propertly ;D
Im just layghing at tye comments 5 months ago saying-"this game is friking awsome i wanna play it now i want to go to the center and learn the story then play with my friends. I love this game".
Then the replies from a month ago saying-"well that went well for you".
Cameron Cook this game *is* awesome
Is
goodbye life
This is game is insane , can't wait to buy it 5 minutes after it releases
I agree lol.
Already bought my pre-order lol
+CLFGriffin Yeah you think they will have the limited editions back up since its being delayed a bit.
this game will be the death of Minecraft
+Y axx92 the time it might take to purchase it(passwords)
The thing I'm looking forward to the most? Being able to play it
i.e. Everything
+Invasive Hostile Alien Entity what is the first thing your gona do?
+Thatedvardguy see if it's possible to zoom out and see the entire galaxy like you can in spore and elite dangerous
I now right Ps. this is my grandmas account I am 11 and a half
Tomorrow :)
I just hope they do not add microtransactions
how could they?
to be honest i can see them adding e.g.(the explorer ship modifications bundle) or the (mothership blasters pack) but hopefully the won't
Pretty sure you're thinking of EA or Ubisoft.
They won't dare to add microtransactions to a $60 game. Don't say that outloud, please!
They won't dare to add microtransactions to a $60 game. Don't say that outloud, please!
im off to find One Piece
i hope you make a 700+ episodes lets play
my god this is painfully true
+thatblack guy from across the street and have your character runs in the same direction foer the entire arc.
+ASTAGHFIRULLA H lmao
thatblack guy from across the street i love black people and hate white. and im neither black nor white
If you could build things I would build a massive spaceport based around trading.
I'd probably do the same. I'll be a little old man selling shit at high prices but when pirates attack I'll activate the death lasers
xD
lol
+Apple GFX you cant build
GraySatyre "if you could"
I think No mans sky is an awesome concept but I think im alone when i say that this game will be a big flop... with this recent information it looks like the game will just be a continuous grind for stuff that dont even seem allll that interesting... sure u got billions of planets but it still lacks alot of features . i think people will get bored very quickly and will stop playing within the first year of its release.
agreed
It's unfortunate but it's true
But the no mans sky team will still make a crap load of money lol
A game where you're literrally thousands of ightyears away from the closest human being... Perfect
I think I could happily spnd the rest of my life just exploring this universe. I'll trade as needed and fight when i must, but mostly i just want to explore just as i would in real life if i had the means to do so.
Toatally pre ordering this, I'm kinda nervous about the ship thing tho .
Why?
+Hayden larabee I think it's fantastic. People will have to be careful and thoughtful about what they do rather than just fly around attacking everything they see.
+Hayden larabee Im fine with upgrades being lost but I wanted bigger playable ships
Becouse of that I'm not getting it I wouldn't want to buy a ship to just loose it to some asshole
+Hayden larabee Don't fall on the hype!
Discover a planet, create your own empire, become the next Sith Lord.
+Johnny Appleseed Star Wars VVVV confirm
Hey... can we make a new one of these? After BEYOND drops (August 14th)
It would be greatly appreciated from the NMS community. Thanks ♡
I doubt the game has these, but what if you fly into a black hole or get to close to a neutron star, pulsar or super nova. I would definitely love to see a star explode In this game.
Black holes confirmed in the 70 questions video, neutron stars are pretty basic and probably in the game. pulsar and super novas probably not
There will be black holes OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait 1 fucking month for this game!
+Junior Luca its already out on steam
Oliver K don't get his hopes up by lying...
Oliver K It's the preorder... -_-
I knew it.
Please be as good as it looks, I hope it doesn't end up feeling like one of those big survival games that come out every week right now.
+CraigandGames I have a feeling it will be but I hope it isn't
+WorshipTheSquare Melon Yeah exactly, all those type of games look really fun and good until you play them. so fingers crossed I guess.
This is one of the only games that actually FEELS next gen.
i hope you can build a house or maybe a civilization.
yhea
yeah from the gameplay it looks like we probably won't be able to.
+cat productions you can build a station/civilisation which you can then call your home
yes i need this game in my life.
+staffyman11 i think you cant
It's scary knowing I could never live long enough to explore every planet in this game
+Enzo Franco They coult work on the things they want to but sometimes they can focus on the fighting and building aspect..
get the no mans sky dlc for only 20$ and get 18 000 000 000 more planets
Meanwhile at EA headquarters:
We should make a space game...
I look forward to some poor sod trying to document everything about No Mans Sky on their Wiki.
+Achtung_Spitfire
That... would be quite the chore ^^;
+Achtung_Spitfire I wanna see The Completionist complete this game
Vilonure it could be possible... If his kids kids kid were to take the challenge lol
Finally a video that gets straight to the point without a long intro. e.g. "Hi this is a video about No man's sky but before we show you what you acutally want to we are going to bollocks on about nothing.."
Yeah I know my post did that but I was making a point.
you know who could explore the entirety of no man's sky? vampires
I don't need it.
I dont need it.
After seeing the video:
I NEED IT!
Good God if the actual game is only 50% of what it was described here than its already worth buying
The game is (my opinion) supposed to be like your alone. Your the only human left. Your the extinct species. Thats why u go to the center of the universe. To find hope maybe, or to find comfort. Thats what i think.
I'd like to play with friends but seems like that won't work out
Haha. Ikr
***** Interesting, yes. But not beinf able to at least start near a friend kind of ruins it for me...
I hate playing alone.
No sorry
+RunIded how would it ruin the experience? in my opinion, being able to spawn near a friend (just one single option to do so once - at the start) would be great. I honestly think it would only improve the experience, since you don't need to do it, but whoever wants to, can.
+RunIded I knew the game would be like this. I'm just saying an option to spawn with a friend could be good. But that's how I look at games. Can't play with a friend, won't buy it, probably. I really dislike playing alone...
Hopefully there is a beta for this before the game releases
No
+Robot Deadpool never know fam
+neojuice there WILL be no beta this is confirmed
+klaus Müller k fam
+klaus Müller Do you know if people who pre-ordered will get the game before people who didn't?
Spore 2.0 inbound...
Yes
+Ginron spore wishes it could be like this
Really?! I fucking love Spore.
much better than spore
Spore promised much, and delivered little. This game feels like it might end up the same way (hopefully not though).
I think by "Hard to find your friends" He means it would be hard to run into them. If you and a friend spent a little time using the map to pin-point a location for a meet up. I'd say you would find them pretty quickly
Basically, a better Spore's space stage.
if only there was large scale terraforming and species modification...
I hope there is a faster way to meet up with friends
Same
+TwixtheWizard yea. or atleast a way to communicate with any players you do happen to run into along the way. it'd be really cool to have an exploring buddy
Didn't they say something about adding more multiplayer features after release?
Maybe THAT will be their DLC model. "Oh, here's a Star Trek communicator for $5. You can put down Long Range Beacons for $1 each, or get a bundle of 7 Beacons for $5. Friendship Teleport-to-Friend's-Ship Teleporters only $30, and it has 10 uses. CONVENIENT!"
I doubt they'll actually do something that silly, but who knows...sometimes money and fame can go to peoples' heads and make them do weird stuff sometimes!
Meta Nexus Hopefully it'll be large updates at worst
I'd love to see some kind of pets in the game. Like you can tame a creature and have it follow you, name it, feed it, whatever. It'll get lonely out there. ;)
oh thats gonna be awesome
Yea :D.
This game is going to slap Star Citizen across it's pretentious butt checks
+Penguin Meister They're two entirely different games so you can't even compare them bro. It's like comparing CoD and Arma
Lol
+Penguin Meister I hope you enjoy NMS as much as you think you will. I hope the same for myself with both titles.
+Bullpup Baggins which one's which?
+Tequila Sunrise star citizen is arma and this game is cod i imagine.
I don't care what you say jake. I'm gonna explore all the planets
Good luck
+dragonoid510 To explore all planets, you need everyone on earth finding new planets every 4 seconds... FOR 18 YEARS!!
8000 years later...
I'm always surprised when people tell me they have no interest in this game just because the plants are procedurally generated. I can't wait for it to drop.
"plants"
+Ronald Cooper spore was like a 10$ indie arcade game
+Ronald Cooper EA single handedly killed Maxxis, literally. So my bet's EA
I know most people want to explore, but I'm actually super interested in the fighting/faction/trading aspect of this game. Discovering planets is cool, but ENTIRE OTHER RACES just sounds awesome.
I do wish they had larger ships. I want to walk around on my ship!
is it bad I recognized the club penguin jetpack
Yes. But that doesn't mean I didn't either.
ya
The Slain Oracle yes
Doesnt matter if there's 18 billion planets. how repetetive will it be is the question? Looks like a very interesting concept, I really love the idea of a universe exploration game.
18 quintillion planets. All plants will be unique and become stranger the closer you get to the center
This is exactly what I was looking for, Gameranx got us covered as always, thanks guys.
oh great I was trying so hard not to get hyped. Now I'm fkin preordering it
I cant help but be reminded A LOT of Spore, which is good.
+Horthrax
Yeah, though with SPORE Firaxis promised so much and didn't even come half way to deliver on them.
I just hope it's as good as it's being hyped up to be!
So it's Minecraft with space ships and pirates.
+Kanye West Savage
It pretty much isn't at all it doesn't have mining, maybe crafting. I think of it as a really futuristic Elder Scrolls
+Kanye West nope, that's starmade
Maybe if they have building in the game
Alright, where's my flame shield?
I think there should at least be a system were you can meet up with someone, and I mean come on, you dangle these giant ass capital ships in front of me and then say I can't use them, harsh, just harsh.
So a good way to describe the game would be Neil deGrasse Tyson and Gaben's Game Child?
I'm a Trekie and HUGE Star wars fan, and im so excited for being able to just fly my spaceship everywhere with no auto-anything and no load screens.
Can't wait for this and Star Citizen!!!
Annnnnddd preordered... goddammit, I swear I would never do this again.
I wonder if they made our solar system and a Recreation of Earth
lol
Apparently the game's creator was asked and admitted that Earth isn't the game. It's too bad, it would have been cool finding it
+Chris Smith i was thinking the same thing when i saw those numbers. 18 billion times billion.... alright, nope.
This game is a brilliant concept, but they need to add a few fundamental
features which will make it perfect.
What they need:
- Once planets are named/founded by a player, there should be an
option to add that to a 'Database', which others can join onto. This way
others can play co-operatively (or battle them), and who knows? They
can become a little community if they choose to, as raiders in space or
to colonize a plethora of land.
- An additional point to that is by using those materials found to
make all sorts of stuff in different shapes and sizes. Perhaps you need
to find materials to make stuff that makes stuff, just to maintain the
challenge/meritocracy balance.
Regardless, these two features are way that the little communities of
players can get together and build their own houses, towns, or grow
their own God-damned army to help expand into space or invade other
players. Build their own society. Create a friggin' empire. Forge their
own culture, and write their own history. Create a class system, with
jobs for other players. Trap and farm the animals on whatever planet.
Exploit the planet. Make small businesses and sell materials to
outsiders. DO ANYTHING. If the two features above are added, this game
will be only limited by the imagination of the players. And it will be
the best fucking game ever made.
18 quadrillion is an enormous number
Quintillion, isn't it?
18 quintillion not quadrillion
because infinite doesn't set a goal bb
Watch I'm gonna be that one guy who spawns in the most empty boring part of the universe
I don't think the Prydwen is capable of space travel.
+Elder Maxson Unfortunately not, Elder. AD VICTORIUM!
Ad victorium
***** you traitor!!
I've been on the hype train for this since last year and it's almost time, FINALLY!
No Man's Sky looks way to good too be true. I'm kinda skeptical about this.
+Sam Klein Same here. I'm waiting for the actual release until I buy this because I feel like it's gonna be a let down after all this hype.
Smart move
Yeah i hope its not like "1000s of different ships!!" (5 ships that have retextures)
Everybody keeps saying there is SO much to do, but then all I hear is you can mine things, trade them and upgrate your ship.
what else is there to do besides that and finding new planets (which is gonna get boring real fast)
Feminists will make a petition to change the name into No Woman's Sky
then they'll complain that there is no women.XD
The sky is obviously sexist, racist, prejudice, rapist, extremist, atheist....naked protests coming
I think everyone who is hating on the game is missing the point of the game . They want you to feel alone but not alone knowing there's others out there in the universe exploring and discovering just like you and could possibly run into others i think this concept is fascinating and i cant wait , stop hating and enjoy ppl
