I would actually argue that his name, ‘knight’, comes from the english word, ‘knight’, meaning an esteemed warrior in a medieval court. It’s almost like warriors like these were used all over Europe, and the German root has nothing to do with Clash Royale’s inspirations. Imagine that!

Just think about it a second, why is it that hog 2.6 and other cycle variants have consistently been at least quite strong in the meta for effectively the entire game's history? Because hog rider is consistently the best option for a cheap win condition. It doesn't have anything that can truly contest it because it's overtuned, but it isn't strong *enough* that it warps the game around itself like cards that are meta.
His Evolution at release was the beast we all feared at the beginning, 0.9s hitspeed with higher amount of damage and that damn moving shield, making him a full blown tank for 3 elixir,I had a fun time when I abused that with excessive wild shards at release of it, what can I say more than that was *worth it*.
