- Canon recently released what was supposed to be an upgrade to the awesome entry level camera Canon M50. However...for the ones who were expecting some new interesting features, the Canon M50 mark II is definitely disappointing....so i decided to make this video to show how good the original M50 is...with all its limitations...and how easy it would have been to make it even better. The M50 is in my opinion the best entry level camera for anyone who wants to start filming....willing to vlog, shoot b-rolls...cinematic stuff.... the M50 mark II is exactly the same camera...with some interesting features for people willing to upgrade from their phone and their webcam.

2k! That's AWESOME! The M50 seems to work fine with a speed booster even in low light, the image looks perfect, with no graining, the depth of field and the colors are good enough. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Paolo! I just wanted to demonstrate that we didn't really need the M50 mark ii...when the M50 is awesome and the mark ii just..the same camera with some features that for filmmakers and vloggers are almost completely useless...such as the ability to shoot vertically without having to do it in post...and the ability to use it as a webcam....I guess Canon is targeting a different kind of consumers...but the M50...remains an awesome camera for beginner movie makers and youtubers.

Thanks Dan for the video, i use the m50 with the speedbooster and like it!! does exist a speedbooster for Cropsensor DSLR's like the 200d the does the same thing but with the EF Mount? cheers

You can notice the skin tones worsen from 1.8 / iso 1600 to 1.2 / iso 1000, guessing that you lost some range in the shadows by lowering the iso.
Is the M50 with the speed booster will be good in photography ?
well...with the speed booster you get more light, larger field of view, shallow depth of field..but of course there's to be considered that it's an extra piece of glass in front of the sensor....for sure it doesn't improve the quality but in most cases it doesn't make it worse. I'll probably make a video about this topic sometimes soon. Thank you for watching!

Hello I have canon m50 mark ii camera and for mistake I bought 35mm f1.8 macro len if I buy viltrox speed booster can it works together 🥲
If you bought the RF 35mm F/1.8...it's an RF lens..there's no way to adapt it to the Canon M50 or M50 mark ii...Unfortunately an adapter would work and would allow you to mount EF and EF-S lenses to the M50, the speed booster can be used to mount, on the M50, EF lenses only... but there's no way to adapt RF lenses to any camera that is not the EOS R, RP, R5, R6 and R3.
