During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!
+Saabkyle04 When I visited the Buick GMC dealership downtown, I asked why the HP, torque numbers weren't on the window sticker. The salesman's response : "Most people don't care about horsepower or torque". I don't visit that dealership anymore.
Seth Porter That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard haha. I explained the changes and why during the engine portion.
***** If people "don't care" about performance, then why would Buick make a 2.0 liter turbo model? It's absolutely ludicrous.
Seth Porter They obviously didn't care much about selling the cars haha
***** Some say that car salesmen are bad people. I say that these people are bad car salesmen.
Seth Porter It's salesmen like him that are the reason this car doesn't sell well.
Kyle, i've noticed that in your latest videos, your location has become more peaceful. The chirping birds, the breeze... so great. ;)
Over here in Europe you can have this car with AWD and a manual gearbox. Alltough over here it's sold as an Opel.
***** Because it is Opel. In England it's sold as Vauxhall, in USA as Buick, but originaly it's Opel :)
Maksym Plashenko Yeah, the Opel Insignia is also assembled in Germany while the Buick Regal is assembled in Canada. So that might also be the reason why the Opel is available with an AWD+Manual combination while the Regal is not.
***** Yeah theres little differences between the Regal and Insignia, like the Regal is a little safer than the European version
***** You can get it with a standard transmission over here too, or at least you could in 2012 when I was looking at these. I've lost interest in new cars since then so I don't really keep up with them anymore.
***** Your username fits you quite well!
Kyle : You are still doing a great job with the videos. They are very informative and very helpful. Do not lose your passion for these videos. Thank you for sharing.
In europe its also available as a station wagon, which looks quite nice and increases its practicability. You can combine the sedan and the station wagon with the 325 hp 2.8 ltr. V6 engine, which produces a nice deep sound (called OPC (Opel)/vxr(Vauxhaul) then).
The price, about 50.000 €, is ok, when you compare it with an equal expensive Passat that reaches this price range with just a 150 hp TSI/TDI engine in it.
***** For me as German it's funny to see how GM is selling 3 Cars with differnt names but exept the logos the cars look nearly 90% the same :D
Robert Frank that's why i dont like american cars now... they're all just imports with a different name. which doesnt mean imports are bad!! i drive a reliable VW golf since i was 16... but the fact that america doesnt even have original cars... except for a fucking mustang or something... i mean come on!! pontiac doesnt even exist anymore...
Corkoth55 what r u babbling about?
babbling corkoth55 never heard of The Global Economy. Half his VW parts came from Mexico, 25% from Turkey balance from China. 0wner's brain 100% from Mars
J Romney you all simply just don't understand the message im trying to convey. i don't blame you though. its pretty tough stuff.
Nice beautiful car I always been a fan of the Buick's a great car all around !
This is such a sleeper....don't know why people don't look into this car more often. I prefer this looks better than the BMW 3 series, Acura TLX,Audi A4 or the Volvo S60....the only thing that looks just as good or even better in my opinion is the Lincoln MKZ.....these two are bad ass and shows that Americans can run with the best as well although the Lincoln looks much better interior wise then the Buick or Cadillac ATS for that matter.
I wish Buick would make a 2016-17 Regal GNX on the ATS-V Chassis with turbo charged V6.
+WolverineNerd Nah, make it a V8. (With Turbo charged V6 as an option)
+Jim Dayton The GN of the 80's was embarrassing v8's, the only advantage to a V8 in this current age would be the sound.
+WolverineNerd Supposedly they are working on it, although I just read that the 2017 GS will have the new Cadillac twin turbo V6. Yes please.
Just bought one like this. Loving it. Personally find the styling to be very good, pretty quick, and rides well for sport suspension and 20 inch wheels.
Don't like the lack of interior storage, specifically a convenient place to put a cell phone, sunglasses holder, and on cold start there is a vibration that I'm told is common but I don't like.
What year?
@@chinedu_akude5571 2014
@@dftns19 good, because 2016 has a main issue everytime
This car is in the UK a Vauxhall Insignia and in Europe an Opel Insignia
Yeah it's more like the vxr model for uk
David Van Puijenbroek UK is in Europe btw
Kesp K. but they sell it under different names, because Opel and Vauxhall were bought by GM and were made to be the same. In ireland its sold as an Opel, so it is only England, Wales and Scotland that it is sold as a Vauxhall
David Van Puijenbroek And Holden Insignia in Australia
dead mau i think i forgot to mention that :)
Hi Saabkyle! Will you make a video of the 2016 BMW 7Series when it will come out? Please reply.
Speed wise the old 3800 V6 supercharged is much more to my liking although this one is just fine.
The old Buick 3800 is one of the top ten best engines ever made; ( look at the wards best engines of the century) However, this little turbo for banger is a winner. It s quiet and smooth, customary and holding true to the Buick heritage, as reliable, smooth and powerful. I have this car myself, and loving every minute of it.
Its more like a professional motoring journalist makes these videos rather than a common person with a pharmacy degree. Keep it up kyle!
Robert Fernandes if you do one thing for a heluva lot of time, you sure become pro in this.
Robert Fernandes Thanks so much Robert! I hope to continue getting better and progressing as time goes on!
I love my 2007 Buick Lucerne CXL with a 4.6L V8... 275HP and 295 ft-lb torque.
2015 - BUICK REGAL GS AWD - O CLÁSSICO NORTE AMERICANO .
CARRO.EXCLUSIVÍSSIMO,MÁQUINA QUENTE .
EXCELENTE POSTAGEM,MY FRIEND Saabkyle04 .
Beautiful Insignia
This is one of the first times I've seen someone notice the car's German roots
Thanks for the video! This is a beautiful vehicle. Being 6'4, I would have to go with something bigger.
yes, i love it. I have exactly the same car with the same interior, engine and transmission. But my car is black outside and manufactured in 2016 as Opel Insignia.
Thank you for this vid.
It drives me NUTS how slow that gauge sweep is. My god.
The best thing about this US Opel Insignia was that it only had petrol engines in option. Not like in Europe where these cars (as well like the most of the cars) usually have a diesel engine which turn out to be a nightmare to maintenance.
Epic review as always Kyle! I'm not a huge fan of the Regal, however if it's in black I'm crazy for it. You should come down to Baker Motor Company and review the only Rolls Royce Pinnacle in the USA!
***** That's awesome! Thanks man!
That steering wheel looks like a darn video game controller! Crazy nowadays.
The regal really have improved in all the years
I had just traded for a 2011 Buick Regal CXL RL2 December 4, 2015. I love this car, but wish it was keyless entry push button started and touch screen infotainment center with navigation. but it is a very nice car.
Remote start is something I've not seen on the Insignia. Very cool.
It is sold as a Vauxhall in the UK it was designed by the UK Vauxhall team and built by Opel
No, it was designed by Opel
Vauxhall is a brand of Opel
The engines are from GM
Another awesome review :)
I've been interested in the Regal GS. Test drove a used 2017 and under hard acceleration, it felt a bit weak to me. Used to driving a 2002 SAAB. Also have concerns over a direct injection engines in any car. Know too many people with DI engines having issues, mainly carboned up intake valves and fuel pump failures. Maybe keep my SAAB forever. 😀
It's "Saab."
@@JCWiley2300 Not many SAAB 's left I would imagine. Mine is 20 years old and still runs perfectly.
A Sport mode on a Buick, I never thought I'd see that.
Why does Buick still exist? It just doesn't come across as needed by GM. I guess Cadillac is getting more sporty so making Buick the main comfort luxury brand for GM would make sense but at the end if the day the Impala looks nicer and is almost more luxury than many Buicks. I guess it's all subjective though, great video Kyle!
Thumbs up from morocco thank you my friend for this great channel
zatla1985 Thank you!!
Hhhhh 9lawi mgharba ki sra9 zit 😂
The GS Regal should have the 2.8L turbo V6 to differentiate it from the regular Regals.
Always driving these at work
I think a lot of Canadians watch your show, and may I suggest a few additions?
Take 2 minutes and tell us the price in Canadian dollars, MPG in Liters/KM, and availability(do you get certain models and we don't) .I know I could just watch another show but your format is the best. Cheers.
But then if Kyle included Canada everybody would ask for European/UK/other prices and it would be a mess (not just Canadian viewers outside of the US). Just look up the facts for Canada and watch the video as well, it would work best like that. However, saying l/100km would cover both main methods of showing fuel consumption, good for most of the world.
***** We are connected to the US, cars move up and down. I have bought my last 2 cars in the States. BTW who cares about people that drive in Europe, that's their own fault! lol We manufacture most of the American cars together. You get cars that don't come here , and you guys come and buy the manual transmission stuff you don't get. Telling me to get 3 facts elsewhere while I watch a 30 minute video. I only get my information from here. Ok just a minute then:(
kanobeez Buy in the states and bringing it back to Canada? How does that work? or is it much simpler than I'm making it?
contractki11er American insurance companies write off cars for a door ding! It also depends on the exchange rate, which is terrible right now. The other advantage to buying a used car in the states is that some cars come from warm climates where there is no salt on the road.
The model you have there share most parts from Vauxhall Insignia VXR Opel Insignia OPC. They are the brands 'sport' range. The European cars have a more sporty, deeper exhaust note & have a 2.8 V6. Also the VXR &OPC are 4x4
I'll be going to drive one of these soon for sure.
I heard that in China the Buick Regal is very popular, their taxis are mainly Regals
Impressive car! Great American A4. Seems kinda heavy. Perhaps there is an upcoming S4/RS4 competitor? This car has all the tech and luxury but needs less weight and more effortless power/gears for the price. Guess I'm impatient...
It's Opel Insignia OPC :)
Hi there kyle
Could you make a review on the new Audi TT 2015?Much appreciated..Thanks!!!
Does Buick offer a 6spd w/ awd? Thought I saw a '15 on eBay but sure if they awd and standard as a model.
Great video, nice car!
NICE 2015 Buick Regal GS AWD (Opel Insignia) Start Up, Road Test, and In Depth Review
awesome video , quality , and car
You should do a review on the new 2016 Nissan Maxima, since it was completely redone
Kyle can you do a startup video with 2015 Chrysler Town and Country van and a 2015 Ford F-150
Kyle can you please do a startup video with a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country van and do a startup video with a 2015 Ford F-150 cause I haven't seen them before
Realy realy realy well review!!!
Assembled in Canada !
Great review!
Can you make a video on the 2014 Lincoln Navigator?
Could you please make a review of the 2015 dodge ram laramie limited
is the passenger side lock & unlock button central or just for the passenger side ? 26:50
5:05 battery voltage looks kind of low, I would expect to see it 14 or above, guess it's normally lol
Kyle, can you review the Land Rover discovery. Thanks
Don't know why the v6 wouldn't be offered like it is in the vxr insignia. Not like fuels as big a problem over there and it's a serious quick car for the price
matthew simmons I've always thought that too, doesn't make much sense.
***** if you're ever over in the uk again you should review one. Really good cars. You should try the other vxr models too
matthew simmons If he is in the UK there are a lot of cars he could review!
Oh definitely. Just on the subject of vauxhalls and such like them that's all.
matthew simmons VXR8 MALOOO!
I have a '14 Premium I front wheel drive. Without all wheel drive, the front tires struggle for grip under hard acceleration.
Yello, Spectacular Work. sound sassy What's your opinion about that !
In England we call these Vauxhall Insignias. We do get opels the Vauxhall brand is more common
How long has Buick been using the door chime? The 1986 riviera has the exact same chime 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s General Motors they been using the same chime since the 1990s 😡
Regarding the interior: the reason it's not on the same level as BMW and Audi is that Opel/Vauxhall is pricetaged close to VW (at least here in Sweden). All maufactors in Europe now wants to be "premium" so the price and quality is Rising but the slogan "Köp en Opel, se Sverige igenom plåten" ("Buy a Opel, see Sweden through the tin/bodywork") still ring in some ears ;)
That Instrument cluster...Why?
Ahmed Gafar Pretty identical to the Corvette....
No, I'm saying that design is ugly why is there a random screen there? Should just made the entire thing a screen, then there's a glare issue, so...
Ahmed Gafar lol not every fucking car is a tesla
^ imagine the glare on that lol^
Great! Now I can drive Opel in America
Hey kyle I was thinking if me and my mom and my stepdad can come to your family's dealership Car Connections Incorporated in Greensboro North Carolina and come on vacation there and I can do startup videos there and if the batteries are dead I will let you know and you can get the jump box right
Does the cars he own have the saabkyle license plate
Can you please do a 2015 Acura TLX or 2016 Acura ILX?
Great review, but I notice in your reviews that you keep saying "Voltometer". There is no such word. It is called a "Voltmeter".
He’s very very professional
Now this is a car that needs a redesign
This car is sweet, i need it lol
Wait why is Pontiac gone again?
+Josepter V. Dillague Because it was shit
MIAM oh you know you thought a Pontiac was BMW atleast one time
Josepter V. Dillague Never.....I am not blind!
MIAM If Pontiac was still here it prolly would look cooler than BMW....is it cooler or cooller?
궁극적 인 꼬마 우우 If Pontiac was so cool/good it would still be here, stop being delutional
This car is called Vauxhall Insignia in the UK, Holden Insignia in Australia and New Zealand, Buick Regal in North America, and Opel Insignia everywhere else, the previous car to this was the Vauxhall Vectra in UK, Holden Vectra in Australia and New Zealand, under the Saturn Name plate in North America and Opel Vectra everywhere else, and the previous car to that was the Vauxhall Cavalier.
Grandad = Vauxhall Cavalier 1979-1998, True Cavalier 1979-1987 then Opel Vectra Body and platform under the name Vauxhall Cavalier and in 1998 Cavalier got dropped for Vectra and then the Chevrolet Cavalier came into existence for USA.
Dad = Vauxhall Vectra 1998-2009 - Opel Version = 1979-2009
Son = Vauxhall Insignia 2009 - Present, Opel Version 2009 - Present.
The Saab 95 was a Vauxhall Vectra, The Saab 93 was a Vauxhall Astra,
So Kyle your first car was either a Vectra or Astra underneath.
Do a review of the 2015 Acura MDX
What is a remote start good for?
I don't see the sense behind it.
Loris It's great when it's freezing outside and you start the car to warm it up, or cool it down on a hot day.
Loris When it's -10f at 4:30am, it's a godsend.
ttwilightzzone Oh My God! Why did you remind me of that! brrrr
When you live in AZ and its a 100 million degrees its nice to start my car 5 mins before and it not be in an oven by the time I get in
Loris basically on days with extreme temperature (super hot or super cold) remote start automatically adjust the temperature of the car to make you comfortable...it also sets your memory settings (seat position, mirror position, favorite radio station, fav cd track, etc.) so you can just get in your car and go without having to adjust anything
***** We have a Opel Insignia OPC in Europe. Whitch has a 2.8 V6 Turbo whit 325HP. Does Buick offer something like that in the states ?
Sadly no.
Fred Schriks We have Cadillac for that!
Fred Schriks We had Saab.
***** I mean the 2.8 9-3's are still around...
kirbyswarp Yes, that's was from GM.
👍👍👍👍👍
Looking for my next car, came across a few of these for 20-25k
The frontside is alright, but I really don't like the backside. Also, it is just too hard to get past the Buick badge for some reason...
kyle if you could show the new camaro or mustang i will be so happy, atleast make a recreational vehicle video
BEST BUİCK
really good review (as usual)
But I don't konw why buick sell Opels and doesn't build their own cars
They do just this one was an inspiration of GM of Europe
Team geeza mate!
About the only thing I found I don't like with the car is the position of the oil filter! Looks like can be easily hit by road debris!
Do a review of the Acura MDX
I have a manual version if you ever come to dallas
Why are the led accent lights strobeing?
So I don’t have to drive shift if I don’t want to right?
nice. also this car is sold in the UK as Vauxhall Insignia VXR. like OPEL.
i think that buick logo is more beautifull than opel one..ho.. btw.. still no buick grand national^^
nICE Opel
When will we see a grand national
***** if possible, can you please review a 2010-2012 Range Rover HSE. I am looking to purchase one and there are no good review videos online to watch as yours.
To me a Buick will never be a sports car. It will always be an old person car. I just am having a hard time with that. I know they have tired to do stuff to shake that persona but it has not worked on me. Thanks for the video.
Can they give u a 2016 camaro
Start Up 2:10
Exhaust 2:23
Engine 2:29
Too bad there is no v6 from eu OPC(vrx) package...(2.8T 4x4 V6 2,792 cc 325 PS (239 kW; 321 hp) @5,500 rpm 435 N·m (321 lb·ft) @5,500 rpm)
OPEL INSIGNIA, new car :)
“ I just bought one of these but 2016” knowing damn well you still financing frfr
remember the 2008 buick lacrosse.
