My interpretation of this paint job is that it looks fantastic. What's better is that the techniques you used seem well within the reach of us mere mortal painters. Any day you upload is instantly elevated to better than it was, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I always wrote my forest dragons' colors based on their age. Like the leaves of a tree, green is young, inexperienced, small, turning into yellow, eventual red, and on the other end, brown is older, larger, more cunning. It's great for atmosphere. What a beautiful transition you used, and even the highlights match the overall hue of the color pallet. Simply stunning.
Amazing paint job sir! What do you do with your models when finished? Do you have a huge set of shelves filled with your completions? A video showcasing all of your figures or your hobby room area would be really cool.
Would it be a better option to paint the veins over the white primer and then spray the yellow over it? Since it's translucent it would show the veins through the yellow but not as prominent or am I wrong in thinking this. I still love your paint job as always
I have NO Idea why it took me a Month to actually watch this! The look on my face by the end of this one could be the very Definition of : " Gobsmacked " . Brilliant!
Honestly, this is one of my favorite paint jobs you’ve done! It’s so appealing and I love that you didn’t do to much red and focused on the other colors!
Got this one, along with all the other dragons in the last kickstarter. You painted it up really nicely! I still haven't decided what scheme I want tto go with for it.
This is a great paint job, the funny part about it though-I live in Texas, I don't know what autumn is! But I appreciate the usage of yellows and oranges with red being the background for them.
Wow, I just found your channel and man, you are crazy. I don't paint miniatures, I am a sculptor tho and I paint and do custom airbrush work for a living. What you can do with a brush is amazing and I hope that your videos will help to make my sculptures 1000 times better
Beginner here. First, he turned out absolutely gorgeous, even the veins on the wings aren't bad. Secondly, where do you get these dragons? All I've been able to find are WizKids...?
As per video description, this is by Reaper Miniatures. They do a lot of dragons and other fantasy minis. Apparently this one isn't up for general release (yet?).

Thank you for a great post that will be directly applied to 1 of 8 on my “dragon shelf of opportunity” 👍🏻
I love the yellow in the wings. Really pops.

I want to purchase this so bad…..
I wonder if reaper is going to release this dragon
so is that a red base coat you started with or a red primer coat?
Thats amazing work, completely impressed! How long did that piece take you to complete?
Lots of good color ideas here, and add me to the list of people who will steal color ideas from this video!

I traditionally do not like brown dragons. This, however was a nice paint scheme and it looks brilliant. Well done.
Looks fantastic! How long did it take you to complete?
Are the dragon available now? They would be perfect for a project that I want to do.😍🇨🇦
do paint the same way I learnt - you don't need hundreds of paints. You just need to know how to mix them and blend
Nice👍👍
