That is probably the most lore accurate version of the Avatar of Khaine that I ever seen painted. It really gives the idea of a statue made of raw iron bursting into flames and having molten lava for blood. I love it ❤.
It is almost inconcievable that you can get a piece of plastic to look like this. The heat seems to be rolling of of it and you would burn your hand if you touched it. Magnificent work Maestro, what an artist you are.
I will be getting an Eldar force together over the course of this year including an Avatar but after seeing this I am scared to death of painting it as I know it will be nowhere near as good as this piece that you have done. This is an awesome piece and the lava effect is by far the best I have ever seen. Your work is so special my friend. At almost 70 years old and eyesight not the best any more this is what is the bad side is for me, but once bought and assembled I will give it my best shot. Keep up this awesome work !!!!!

That sword is absolutely outstanding (the whole miniature is, honestly). I kept thinking ‘whoa, that’s so good, just leave it like that’ but the more detail you added, the better it looked. It must take a lot of practice, not only to paint like that but to know when to stop adding detail. Truly stunning work, I doff my cap.

Increadable the blue-violet spots that looks like hot metal on that lava glowing avatar of Khaine. This gotta be my favorite on youtube at the moment!!!
Muchas gracias!! seguiremos subiendo videos. Si tu intención es aprender a pintar y relajarte con una miniatura para lograr resultados increíbles, prueba técnicas que puedas controlar y no sean limitantes como pincel seco o lavados
Dejar el trazo sin esconderlo tras una veladura no sólo es de valientes, sino que marca una diferencia muy grande con otros pintores. Los trazos marcan ritmos y crean momentos dentro de la mini. Esconderlos es como ponerle una máscara al alma de la mini, porque tras el trazo está el pintor. Claro que no cualquier trazo sirve... Y ahí reside el arte. Siempre valoraré más un trazo bien ejecutado y a la vista que una veladura que esconde una inseguridad y que sólo busca el "efectismo". Antes fui de veladuras hasta que aprendí a ver a Frazetta, Hildebrand, Boris Vallejo, Moebius,... Y se me fue la tontería ;-) Soy consciente que esto que acabo de escribir es muy abstracto, pero precisamente en eso que no sé explicar reside la diferencia entre pintar muy bien o crear una obra de arte. Felices fiestas y excelente trabajo.
Son modos distintos de hacer las cosas, no se pq una cosa u otra es dejarse de tonterias, que ganas de peleas, y que conste que a mí me gusta un modo más que otro. ¿Tu de verdad crees que gente que hacer pintura más realista o sin trazos cuando no sean necesarios es pq tienen inseguridades?
@@lcnevado2720 Por supuesto que son modos diferentes e igualmente legítimos ambos. En mi entorno no hay ninguna polémica al respecto: Para los cinco que nos reunimos a pintar desde hace años tenemos claro que dejar el trazo es una forma mucho más evolucionada de pintar una mini. Por qué? Porque hemos visto que es algo natural en la "madurez" del pintor (llevamos unos 22 años). Que las veladuras son algo efectista y que forman parte de las primeras etapas eso es incontestable, creo que es algo obvio. Cuál es el objetivo de una veladura? Ocultar. Ocultar el qué? La imprecisión, las carencias técnicas en cuanto a comprensión del color, aplicación y demás cosas. Y si no existen tales inseguridades y el pintor las aplica es por simple efectismo. Pueden salir minis guapas usando veladuras? Por supuesto, de hecho salen más así que sin ellas. Y eso ya me dice algo. Qué me dice? Que dejar el trazo es más difícil y para mí, es algo que denota más madurez y valentía. Todos hemos pasado por las veladuras y todos los que son nuevos deberán pasar por ellas, no estoy diciendo que sea algo malo. Un saludo.

@@Sergiocalvominiatures Yo hago una distinción: Los que pintan y los que "aplican pintura". Y tu, además de pintar, dibujas y creas momentos y ritmos en la superficie de la mini. Y si hay quien no ve eso, pues no pasa nada. Yo tampoco veo muchas cosas y ahí seguimos. A mi personalmente las veladuras no me emocionan, lo que me emociona es un trazo de color que sale de una sombra, por ejemplo. Otra cosa. Tuve un profesor de pintura en la uni (un grande de verdad) que decía: En una cara deben estar puestos TODOS los colores que tengas en tu maletín. Al único que veo por aquí aplicando esa máxima es a ti. Un saludo y gracias!
Me encanta ver que se puede dejar ahi el trazo del pincel y que nadie se lleve las manos a la cabeza. Vengo de la ilustración y no entendia por que tanto drama con que se vea la pintura tal cual (siempre y cuando sea un trabajo bueno, claro) Respeto el trabajo que he visto de otros pintores de miniaturas pero creo que el tuyo encaja mucho mas con como entiendo esto. Impresionante trabajo, enhorabuena.
Bueno es un lujo que se puede permitir en parte porque despues con el aerografo difumina mucho esas pinceladas tan marcadas y tambien porque esta mini en particular pide unos saltos en la escala de valor muy grandes con lo que prima el contraste frente a un degradado supersuave. Tambien te digo que en realidad en cuestion de miniaturas de juego prima mas la escuela impresionista y efectista que la realista, en realidad unos degradados muy suaves a base de veladuras llevan mucho tiempo sin estar de moda porque se considera que a la distancia a la que se van a observar normalmente las miniaturas no merecen la pena por el tiempo que consumen.
tengo un estilo propio el cual ha sido y es, muy criticado y alabado por romper con dogmas del sector. Mi mejor consejo es que disfrutes pintando y traigas siempre la mejor versión de ti como artista en cada miniatura, pinta como mas disfrutes

Проблема в том, что у северян, вроде нас, четко забито в голову, что Огонь - это тепло, защита, безопасность, и творчество. Поэтому, наш человек чисто на подкорках хочет с таким кхейном в обнимашки. Просто потому, что у нас холодно, а он - явно горячий. 😁
Ты ему такой "Кейн! Чай пить будем?", а он такой, беря холодный чайник в руки и кипетя его за 5 секунд "Канешна, все к столу". Полезный дядка. В бане, опять же, можно из ковша прям на него плескать, чтобы пару поддать.

Muchas gracias! Colores, he usado muchos tipos, quizás los que buscas son de la marca de Golden, cuidado con el aerógrafo si los usas, algunos contienen metales pesados y no deben ser usados en aero.

Dejar el trazo sin esconderlo tras una veladura no sólo es de valientes, sino que marca una diferencia muy grande con otros pintores.

Проблема в том, что у северян, вроде нас, четко забито в голову, что Огонь - это тепло, защита, безопасность, и творчество. Поэтому, наш человек чисто на подкорках хочет с таким кхейном в обнимашки. Просто потому, что у нас холодно, а он - явно горячий. 😁

Muchas gracias! Colores, he usado muchos tipos, quizás los que buscas son de la marca de Golden, cuidado con el aerógrafo si los usas, algunos contienen metales pesados y no deben ser usados en aero.
