Gorgeous paint job!! Thank you so much for painting our surly bird model 😁 This video is full of solid advice, and the results really speak for themselves. I especially like the cultivation of an "artist" mindset in your videos; the key to improvement is to practice a lot, and learn from each piece.

you are so great, thanks a lot for this inspiring new content! I love those words "just watching painting-videos deosn't make you a better painter" just the truth and right on the spot. Thank you, really. When I started out mini painting I'd pick one thing I wanted to focus on practicing while painting that mini and that's where I'd spend most of my time (aside from painting skin, because I just really love painting skin). I'd paint up the rest of the model to the best of my abilities and a level I was proud with, but I'd really put most of my time and effort into that one thing. I was pretty slow at first, especially since I didn't have great brush control at the time, but it really helped me to remember that the small details are cool but not always important and I got faster very quickly. I'd also always pick my colour palette before I started so I almost never stop painting in the middle to figure out a colour scheme. I kind of got out of the habit recently, and I was wondering why I was feeling like painting was more of a slog than an enjoyment, this video was a great reminder to start doing some of these things again so I can focus on the part of the hobby I enjoy most; the painting.
