I love this idea. A couple of years ago when my niece graduated college I did something similar. I wish I would have seen this video then. Thank you so much for the ideas.
I made a baby stroller completely covered in rolled up diapers I tied them to the box so diapers could still be used I used a baby blanket and a wire hanger to make the cover at the top. I also made a handle to push it also completely covered in reusable diapers. The four wheels were also made with diapers. I put a teddy bear with a baby outfit on and a baby blanket inside along with a bottle and a newborn nuk pacifier. The next one I made was a rectangle cake of all rolled reusable diapers it was 3 layers tall each layer a little smaller so I could cover each layer with baby items. The last one I made was a tricycle pulling a wagon yes everything was made of rolled reusable diapers and baby items like baby bottles for the lights, rolled baby washcloths to go around the handle bars for hand grips. The handle bars were hangers wrapped in diapers the little horn was one of those blue sucky things the wagon yep you guessed it a box covered inside and out with diapers. I filled the wagon completely up with baby items. I put a teddy bear on the trike wearing a baby outfit! The 4 wheels on the wagon and the 3 trike were all made of diapers. These things took about a week each to design and come up with ways to make it look right plus I was working and had an 8 year old and church and whatever sport my son was in at the time and his piano lessons. That's why it took so long. One couple got the trike and baby stroller they were having twins a boy and a girl. Yes they were expensive but if 2 or more (more preferably) it's not so bad. I couldn't tell you how many packs of diapers I used! I highly recommend these as gifts. I did not use any rubber bands because of latex allergies I used curling ribbon to hold dialers together and I punched holes in the 2 boxes I used and tied each rolled diaper to the box
So many versions of gift ‘cakes’ the kitchen theme was helpful seeing how many towels you used. Not excited about the diapers being handled and out of the package.
I never use latex because of latex allergies. Also for people who aren't allergic to latex I use curling ribbon because latex can cause an asthma attack for those who have asthma

1st one--use bungee cords (new, clean, small) instead of elastic and ribbon to cover it. Those little bungees come in handy for the stupidest stuff!

I liked the towel thing but as for the diaper thing. I would rather just get a bag of diapers. Easier to open and pull out a diaper.
