I have the 2021 55 inch v series and it upscale 4kuhd great👍 I recently updated it and I now have Variable refresh rate. It makes 4k gaming smooth but still is hard on the xbox processor. The new update took away 1440p and now the only other resolutions are 720p, 1080p, and 2160p. If you try to put it on 1080p with the default tv gaming settings, the sharpness of the tv won't fit the resolution of the console. So if u use 1080p on the v series 55 inch u need to downstate the sharpness, backlight, and gamma too fit the consoles 1080p settings. Hopefully this helps you because I struggled to figure out the best settings for the tv. Personally I just leave it on 4k uhd with the default tv settings and it looks and plays great just a little hard on the console you will notice it gets hot lol.
I thumbed down this video for your blatant LYING.......Setting your console to 1080p INSTEAD of native 4K will always result in a sharper image, and for you to deny this is outright LYING......So many tests have been done proving that using your t.v's upscaling ability instead of the horrendous broken upscaling in the entire Xbox series, will ALWAYS result in far better picture quality and sharpness. This is why setting your console to 1080p instead of 4K is the best thing to do, even if you have a 4K t.v The only reason you lied is because you're a Microsoft shill ignoring the FACTS

Your tv won’t do any upscaling if you are in game mode, which you should for adequate input lag.

When you drop resolution you can increase refresh. For example, 8k at 60Hz vs 4k at 120. So yes, it should easily run 120Hz at 1080p.
