It's a good song. When I saw this film, I couldn't help but think of the irony that they used a piano for this particular scene, an instrument that uses only fingers and thumbs.
TheEnigmaticMrColt Not technically true. You forget that pretty much every piano utilizes pedals for different effects on the sound. But you can't play a piano with the pedals, so you're not wrong :)
Blank Blanky None of his pieces stand out. They're just cliche actiony background music. Aside from the Avengers theme, no new character has a creative and memorable theme. None of them. Not Winter Soldier, Vision, or Black Panther. Heck, I don't remember Ant-Man having a theme either, but I don't think that was Henry Jackman anyways. It just goes to show that you have to choose the right composer for your movies! But Giacchino and Silvestri have such high levels of skill in their craft that everyone else seems to just lag behind. No one sees a movie for Henry Jackman, but I'd pay a movie ticket for a movie composed by Michael Giacchino. Memorable pieces go a long way!
I was just comparing these track with the end credits song they released a few time ago.I liked that track, but it was not the kind of instrumental theme I´m used to in Marvel movies. The rest of Giacchino score is.
@@blankblanky6261 not just the MCU either. He’s done some X-men work and if you haven’t already listen to Frankenstein’s monster. A great theme that conveys how Magneto feels about himself.
Yeah! This is my favourite soundtrack and my favourite movie! My favourite character! I just love watching Doctor Strange! Sometimes I go to the marvel’s movies on disney + and I pick this movie and I watch it again. I never get tired watching it, it’s like I can watch many times, again, and again, and again!💜✨
I just loved how Benedict carried Strange's emotions. You could see the pain and fear in his eyes during the whole accident thing. Honestly, was I the only one that cried when Strange was just looking at his hands after the accident? Yeah, okay.
I just watched the movie and it made me love the Docter even more and that is saying a lot since I about cry every time I see him so I love this playlist!
When I found out that Michael Giacchino was doing the music for this movie, I was SUPER excited. Michael Giacchino has a gift, I swear. He can make music wonderful and lovely, sometimes even whimsical like in Inside Out and Tomorrowland. I am so tired of Henry Jackman making the Avengers films so lifeless and dull. Remember how amazing Captain America's soundtrack was when Alan Silvestri composed for the film? And then Brian Tyler delivered such a moving score for Thor: The Dark World. But none of the other films came CLOSE to giving us emotionally driven and thematic sounds. Henry Jackman just gave us fast-paced action music, maybe the occasional slow piano...but NOTHING substantial. Michael Giacchino MADE this movie. I couldn't imagine this film without his incredible score driving home the emotion and intrigue.
Henry Jackman only did Cap 2 and Civil War. However I agree that his music for Civil War was pretty generic. Jackman's the guy who did X-men First Class and Kick-Ass, what happened to him?
barbaro267 gonna have to disagree with u on Brian Tyler, his scores ALL sound the same, especially Thor 2 and iron man 3 they sound so similar and nothing memorable IMO, and idk I like Henry Jackman's scores, especially civil war , he likes using those French horns that John Williams did and it's fantastic but IMO of course😃
this music will help you focus your chi energy. it will help you become just like dr strange but remember, only use your power for good now go out there and kick the shit out of evil
This song reminds me of my childhood and adolescent years. I was a very very very stupid child. It reminds me of my friends and my aim to become a neurosurgeon.
Absolutely beautiful soundtrack. Michael Giacchino I think may be my favourite composer over all. Doctor Strange, Tomorrowland and Ratatouille soundtracks are amazing (though I must say James Horner's soundtrack in Avatar is absolutely awe inspiring).
Ever since I heard this composer who did the great TV series soundtrack LOST, I have loved his musical scores to recent films such as Star Trek. A talented composer. Thanks for the posting of this must-see film by Marvel.

No, this song is not depressing. What gives this impression is the way in which this song manages to reach and carry our insecurities or deepest feelings and gives a purpose to these feelings, as if now after having guided all of this we should not surrender and now we should draw strength from everything this to keep moving forward. this is kind of the message this song sends me from the first note.

I am forever grateful for the day/moment my family decided for me to learn this beautiful instrument

Take notes, Henry Jackman!
Jackman is one of the few composers for MCU films that something stand-out, alongside Silvestri and Giacchino. Sit down.

So glad they hired Michael Giacchino for this film.
the most beautiful thing in this movie is that soundtrack
Hussein Faisal nah The Story and VFX were better but the music is still AMAZING
To me is 'One' of the most beautiful things in this Marvel underrated masterpiece.

bada bing bada boom I cried so much during this movie
I cried when they show him trying to write his own name and not being able to do it.
I’m crying now thinking about it. Incredible how Benedict made us connect to strange on an emotional level! He will always be my favourite Avenger
I was too busy wondering how/why his hands got messed up.
It just doesn't seem like something that would result from a car wreck.
Ernie Velveeta his hands went through the dashboard and probably got super screwed up in there

my most favourite superhero..😢😭
He is an excellent Sorcerer.
i was hoping for this in madness of multiverse
Shame, they got a different composer
The emotion in this song is so strong! Also, the play on words for the title is heart wrenching!
This is the best soundtrack that marvel movie ever had 😍
Very much a Burton-Elfman vibe on this track, absolutely wonderful
Oh *YES!*
Specially 'The master of the mystic end credits' theme version, sounds so darkly medieval.
Funny you say that, Elfman is composing Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So hyped!!!

I cannot wait to have another one of these beautiful and haunting piano pieces in Spider-Man Homecoming.
Michael Giacchino is such an awesome composer.

I love how this has such a calming effect on me. 💙
The theme is beautiful! but i can hear the Amelie Poulin influences..and the infamous PUNS in the name of the tracks are back!
The only Amelie Poulin influence I see is that both OSTs have piano tracks. The melody reminds me of previous Giacchino works like Star Trek.
Angelos Loukatos indeed, that piano in "Star Trek Into Darkness" is pure Amelie
Haha, I can hear the resemblance too!
This Song Reminds Me October 2016 ...
such a beautiful soundtrack
Simplemente amo la banda sonora de esta pelicula,es tan genial y perfecta. Es unica.
It makes me feel nostalgic
In a way this reminds me of victor's piano solo from bride corpse

I swear the images this music makes me think of are better than the actual scenes they go with. The music surpasses the movie by a long shot.
I disagree with you; this movie is an excellent one. If this soundtrack was composed for Captain America the first Avenger, then you would be right.
Thank you! I really love this soundtrack
Que belleza de música simplemente divina
As one of the member of the Discord group I am on said, this is Strange's hero theme, but with missing notes.
Reminds me of The Hours soundtrack by Philip Glass. When I first heard this song on the film, I actually thought he composed it.

I'll come out of my addiction! I can and I will! All I want is possible!
just gives the moonlight sonata vibe ( 1st movement )
I have never enjoyed a movie so much, its music made feel like other track has ever
This has a Philip Glass vibe similar to "London Calling" from 'Star Trek: Into Darkness'
Why does this remind me of the Moonlight Sonata?
So I'm guessing this is going to be the theme that plays during Stephen's downward spiral after his accident.
