Ari I absolutely love these State of the Unions!!!! I'm a huge fan of Dave, you and comedy in general. Thank you for the Ron Bennington mention as well. You guys are the best. I wish the entire country would listen to these and take in actual legit conversations that are insightful, funny and extremely interesting

ARI I LOVE HOW HIGH QUALITY THIS PODCAST IS. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to any zoom bull cramp. Good camera set up or location from a lighting point of view. The contrast of the chalk board, the REALLY green grass behind you looks super vibrant. I love the long form ,it was my entire morning and I loved it. It’s shit. The multi camera setup stinks. They’re sitting three feet from each other. All he needed was a single camera instead of all the awful cuts back and forth. It’s not narrative cinema. Zoom would have been preferable.

“JRE Clips” is definitely a VERY underrated factor in Joe Rogan’s rise to become by far the most influential/successful interviewer of all time - and I say that as someone who loves Rogan’s full length podcast too, but probably wouldn’t have given it anywhere near as much of a chance without those short extracted highlight bits

It's kind of beautiful how Ari has so little interest in politics that he found it "interesting" that the political concept of a conservative was linked to the idea of conserving things. Seems like he's just a guy who wants to get on with his life and would rather no one have to care about this government political nonsense.

I think a good conversation would be the difference between destruction of property in a riot and violence against people. I look at the two vary differently and it is kind of confusing to mix them up in our conversations.

We are in that future, I bet my life on it.
Really great guys. The 4 hour format with differing views in a Tough Crowd sense (beers with friends after) would be a breath of fresh air on youtube. Maybe monthly, but chose one topic and really stick to it - plus whatever adjacent angles. I find myself largely agreeing with Dave and appreciate the incites and live digestion of all this content through Ari. On the drug war I worry about legalization's ease of entry of harmful chemicals to kids en masse at younger ages, and war in general, yes obviously the US meddling and murdering is horrible, but it has never been just the US as aggressors and "world war" has basically been constant since forever in one way or another. Seems the full breadth of puppetry gets hidden behind the demonization of the US, guilty or not. As far as the swamp goes - don't forget when Schumer basically said that the swamp bites back, or JFK, or Lincoln etc...
Anyway, thank for a great 8 hours!
