    its *hilarious* that the most rational take of the state of politics in America is coming from comedians

      There are plenty of people with rational takes who aren’t comedians, it just turns out more people would rather hear jokes.

    • @user-ku9hs8yt8w
      @user-ku9hs8yt8w 3 года назад +8

      A rational person would recognize that the mainstream media has an economic investment in driving hate and division, while a lot of comedians and podcasters are learning that they can make a similar investment in being the opposition to the mainstream narrative.

      The archetype of the Jester embodies that which can speak truth to power, he who can mock the king and still live to mock the king tomorrow. Comedy, as they say, is often funny because it is true. The joke often originates from some uncomfortable truth that we recognize when the comedian is able to articulate it in the form of a joke and we are able to better accept that uncomfortable truth while laughing.

      @@Brian-gw5hg that's when a comedian is good. A lot of gpod comedians are sliding into Alex Jones territory. I honestly have no agenda against Alex, I like some of his shit, but comedians are really starting to catch onto being political for economic gain.

Thousands since I came back from furlough at the beginning of July. I have asthma as well. I have not taken literally any precautions when it comes to COVID; no hand washing, no masks, no not touching my face just to see if I would get it partially because I hate my life and partially out of morbid curiosity. Taiwan was by far the best at mitigating the virus. A tiny island off the coast of China that is a major trading partner and tourist site for Chinese mainlanders. They have practically no cases because they shut down travel from China immediately back in January, later shutting down travel from the rest of world. Practically no trace of the virus, you can watch livestreams of English teachers over there having lunch side by side indoors with no need for masks.
    Also we don't know that is was made in a lab but we do know for certain that that particular lab was researching coronavirus in bats and the possibility of human transmission.
