I can't even comprehend the timing of this video. Hello Katarina, my name is Shon, I'm an Israeli RUclipsr and content creator and I've lost my voice about a month ago. Since then I watched 90% of your videos and learned a lot from you. 2 days ago i had enough, I felt that no matter what video of You I watched, non of It helped my voice in a major way. Yesterday I went to an ENT to check my vocal cords through my nose and She said the exact same sentences you mentioned in this video.
I think this video is one of the most important videos that people should look for when they stress about their voice. Since yesterday I've felt a tremendous relief and about 70% of the pain just went away like it never even existed. I have no doubt that in about a few days I will feel as good as new.
I want to thank You about your amazing content that helped me understand and acquire a huge amount of knowledge. And I want to thank You for this video. the timing is so convenient for me. You've been with me since day 1 of this vocal pain episode and I can't believe to this amazing closure just a day after I figured it out.
    Thank you for everything!

@@healthyvoicetips I have had vocal issues for over 3 years now. I went to several ENT's as well as a laryngologist and all have said my vocal folds look fine. One did say that I had a lot of phlegm so I am trying to work on that due to the acid reflux. I feel like my "new voice" is here now which is a lot better but I talk for a living and lately, I can feel the tension and the pain in my throat and not sure what affirmations will help. Any advice? For me, it feel like my throat is closing when I talk.

When doing massage, you listen to your body. Some people can go for an hour, some people can last only 30 seconds. Everyone is different. Only do what is comfortable for you. Hi, Hope you are doing well.. I have a lot of vocal strain for so many years... I have asthma.. and I am a professional singer, performer..
I am so much worried about my voice.. please help me out to solve this problem..
Is this happening because of my asthma?
    Or wrong usage of voice?
Do i need to visit a laryngologist..?

    • @healthyvoicetips

If you are worried about your voice, I suggest that you speak to a voice professional to get your answers. I am not able to tell you if it is asthma, overuse or something else. Start with a laryngologist, you may find your answers there.

hi, I have conversion disorder, it's a part of SOMATIC SYMPTOM DISORDER. I have a severe tic in the throat, it's so tight and constricted. it's like the vocal chords are automatically rubbing off each other and it sends electricity signals/noises to the head. I'm wondering does anyone have such a thing or am I the only one. it affects all my symptoms and with these symptoms because of the first one I mentioned it affects me from functioning. thank you , ☘☘

It's difficult to help online but I would encourage you to notice what is different at these different times of the day - your energy level, your support (engagement of the big body muscles), changes in voice after eating, your alignment and movement etc. That may help you understand why your voice is different at different times of the day. If your voice gets progressively tired or hoarse throughout the day, I suggest that you visit an ENT for a voice assessment.

It depends on the reason why you have chronic laryngitis. In general vocal rest count in days is not recommended. Relative rest maybe (depending on what you are dealing with) plus exercises or some other approaches to help you. I suggest that you speak to a voice professional to start your healing journey. Vocal rest may not be the answer.
